  • how the fuck can a fighter jet CRASH in THE SKY?

  • fake!! richtig billig. kampf jet schlägt neben den kerl ein und was pasiert: es kwalmt a bisl!!

  • the wind won :)

  • ТОЛЬКО ОДИН САМАЛЕТ В МИРЕ НЕ УПАДЕТ ПОСЛЕ КОБРЫ И ЭТО самалеты сухого

  • virus.

  • what a pussy he totally coulda saved that lol.

  • @pac6010 Too low!

  • @NEEQOS Sarcasm dude lol. I woulda bailed out before the plane even took off.

  • Here in Germany some years ago there was a famous scetch:

Guest: "How can I get a Starfighter?"

Instructor: "By a little field and wait!"

In fact 200 starfighters crashed over Germany.

I know in this video it wasn't a starfighter, but when I saw this I remember

    in this scetch.,

I hope the pilot survived without heavy injuries!

  • @EragonLea "heavy"so you want him injured, but just a bit :P YOU RACIST BASTARD!!! :))

  • @SpicyProjectsGames yeah! Of course. What else...

  • Is the plane alright?

  • gripen mal von ner ganz schechten seite

  • was the pilot ok?

  • @NikerZila he/or she ejected at 0:02 he/or she should be fine

  • Actually, it crashed on the ground -_-

  • Oops...

  • Hmm In Mother Russia People do Stupid things....

  • @TheChunkyKong That isn't Russia >_> its a Grippen a Swedish fighter.

  • @wargamion Whats the difference?.... +_+

  • @TheChunkyKong quite a bit.... sweden, they crash from over engineering. russia, they crash from not enough engineering.

  • Was he trying to pull off a cobra? Or did his air brake deploy by accident and cause the pitch-up?

  • @PootStip Pilot-induced oscillation, basically the pilot and the fly-by-wire got out of sync with eachother.

  • @PootStip looks like the fly-by-wire went berserk

  • no way this is real

  • Musta been a russian wannabe pilot.heeeeeeeeeeeee hee.americans are the best.

  • @witchdctr americans are the best but don't be racist to russians

  • Is this Swedish Gripen? or Eurofighter? They are really similar...

  • @misteraxl1 Yes, it is Jas 39 Gripen.

  • imagen your just walking and a fighter plane lands right infront of you? id be like

" THANKYOU SANTA!!!!! even though its june..."

  • Cobra fail.. hahaha. not a supermanuevarable plane..

  • August 8, 1993. A serial production JAS-39A Gripen (#39-102) suffered a Pilot Induced Oscillation during an airshow over central Stockholm, Sweden. The PIO eventually resulted in an uncontrolled pitch-up which stalled the aircraft and from which recovery was not possible.

In accordance with the flight instruction, the pilot left the aircraft and survived.

Although many were watching the airshow, the plane landed in an uncrowded spot and crushed a few bicycles. Noone was seriously injured.

  • What was the pilot trying to do...a Cobra ?

  • i used to think it would be really cool to control a machien like this. After seeing some of the videos of crashes i realize that it isnt as cool as i thought. before youtube and the net i never ever saw visually just how bad these things can really bite

  • I'm pretty sure this jet is the one that's supposed to be able to do just about anything in 360 space. Looks like this may have been a test flight gone wrong. I believe it's Russian so there's that... The video of this thing in action literally defies physics. At least the pilot got to eject.

  • Not winning

  • Hihi its Swedish Gripen.

  • FUCK NATO NAZI !

  • @pipa88papi: NATO??? Its Sweedish!

  • @bjofuruh Sorry.... Sweden not a member of NATO.

  • There goes a billion dollar...

  • shoot your gun we will stay in that sky

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone notice that fighter pilots dont think about were the danm plane is going to crash at. i know they have to deal with there own safty but really ....lets say theres 2,000 people under him, would he eject just to save his sorry ass or pull to the side or some other place not leading to the people....they really need to start thinking about the before they just ditch the plane.

  • @moto2244 We don't know what was going through the pilots head. For all we know the plane was no longer responding to inputs from the pilot so the only thing to do was eject. I agree with you but I bet most pilots are very aware of where they are and do their best. But there is only so much you can do with a 7 ton plane that is malfunctioning.

  • @moto2244 quite obviously therer was a malfunction and he no longer had control

  • @moto2244 Try stating that comment to an actual pilot and I'm sure they will punch you right in the face for it, from what I have seen a fighter pilot lets say in a city or a town actually looks for an actual area where it involves if possible zero to as few casualties possible, as a pilot puts other peoples safety (esp civilian) before his own and stays with the craft until the last moment. What this pilot in this video had done , would be considered to be correct under the circumstances.

  • @moto2244 Yeah, talk like that after you've been in their position.

  • @moto2244 this particular pilot didn't have any choice. The aircraft was uncontrollable so there is no point staying in it any longer. The higher he ejects the better chance of survival. Please comment on something you have a clue about, that way you won't have to comment on anything.

  • looks more like it crashed on the ground not the sky XD title.. ''fighter plane crash in the sky''

  • this pilot crashed 2 of these..

  • never new planes crashed in skys nowadays

  • how could this happen so close by a church? what did god thought about him.?

  • @hihihoho1234

Maybe you should keep science fiction stuff like "god" out of this.

  • All of use who thinks its a typhoon... Use are retards, its a jas gripen... Fuckin mongos :/

  • What was he/she doing?

  • the pilot bailed airplane not in control any more, it crashes :(

  • nice game

    retard

  • its called auto-expulsion =D

  • Actually, it was a fighter plane crashing into the ground. ; )'

  • out of all of you idiots Frddie212 is most acurate apart from it beinf lake mäleren, it was a jas Gripen, one motor with two intakes .. i know because i was there standing on central bron and even have pictures of most of it!! does that answer any of your questions?

  • Model plane with some pyrotech Involved

  • @TheHalokilla actually this guy just sucked at flying and he crashed and blew up

  • @TheGermanturtle He didn´t suck at flying. The digital flight control system unfortunately failed at this prototype aircraft. Therefore it got uncontrollable . Nowadays no modern warbird can be flown without bulky computing assistance anymore. Even the good old F 16 can´t.

  • Hes FINE!

  • $ millions wasted...

  • one fucking engine two fucking air intakes, jesus people its not rocket science

  • Man, the uploader of this video HATES people that misidentify this plane. Why? We all know it's a Eurofighter anyways

  • @vonjager

    Dude its a SaaB Gripen.

The intakes were on the side of the fuselage. Tne EF2000 has the dual air intakes on the underside, just forward of the main wings. Its a similar design to the F-16.

Also the EF2000 has dual exhaust, similar to the F-18, the Gripen depicted has 1 exhaust.

Listen to people who know their aircraft.

Me, I'm a Navy guy, A/M, so trust me, I know planes. Its NOT an EF2000

  • @ZeroRaven87 Troll mission successful. I know it's a Gripen. Read my post very carefully. Do you not catch a strong hint of sarcasm? If not, may I suggest therapy?

  • @vonjager Hahaha. Perhaps it´s also a Fokker Dr III. Get some spectacles, man ! Or further infomation about planes...

  • @Dokker62 I was being sarcastic. It's obviously a Grippen. Like, blatantly obvious. Would rather have seen a DR. I though :D

  • @vonjager Touché ! Given the diverse and radical nonsens which is posted in so many comments on YT it´s sometimes hard to detect irony or satire. :-)

  • looks like a toy a real one will make huge impact

  • I wonder if the Gripen is a better dogfighter, or the Eurofighter?

  • @TheRealHawkeye The Eurofighter is a dual-engine plane vs the Gripen only has one, so comparing the two would be like comparing an F-18 to an F-16: the Eurofighter is capable of a higher speed and payload, but only barely which makes the Gripen a very advanced single-engine fighter.

But all in all, the plane is only about 30% of what makes a fierce dogfight: it is the pilot's skill that makes the plane capable. Compare the plane's user instead. =P

  • Damn, he missed the church!

  • thats j10 from china i think

  • @crevesencio No, you moron. That's the JAS 39 Gripen, Sweden's primary multi-role fighter jet. This was when it first came out, and like all great planes, they have accidents and some crash. Chinese planes are not great.

  • @FalloutRadius ok ok just down, ok. geez...........

  • one can't crash "in the sky" dumb ass. the crash is with the ground.

  • Crash in the sky? - one way of putting it I guess

  • Poor saab gripen, this was a test plane, but quite an impressive not so much crash but "problem" to say the least :P

  • Thats A Mirage Not A Typhoon

  • @carocarotho May be this plane is Kfir?????

  • @iggrich Kfir? What? - Not A Eurofighter/Typhoon! A French Mirage¬!

  • @carocarotho it's a Saab Gripen, not one of the aircraft you mention

  • That is not a eurofighter!

  • its the saab-39 gripen

  • There it goes Swedish Tax payers money...

How many Grippens has Saab sold worlwide? Let me count....ZERO

Why Volvo and Saab car brands had been sold to Americans? Did the Swedish Monarchy received its WELL deserved commission ...?

I prefer the Viggen; Gripen is just the first 3rd gen crap that initiated the path for substandard products like the mediocre F22...all build for wasting tax payers money just for pleasing viewers eyes on airshows.

    Gripen's natural place is museums...

  • @Funfisique Maybe they havent sold any.But they have leased alot of em.

  • @naaruu111

Maybe I was too harsh with the plane...

The thing is that this plane is just a low cost option for third world countries... with leases reporting little bennefits to Saab... meanwhile Swedden´s neighbours had opted for American Crappy and Costly planes instead.

I´ll better to xpend tax payers money on an European cheap multirole plane that offers jobs to europeans...than wasting it with American expensive fying shit, period.

    ; )

  • @Funfisique Eh, they sold 26 planes to South Africa and 12 to Thailand. And they hire planes to the UK,Hungary and Czech Republic.

  • @Funfisique Isent Gripen 4th gen?Some sy its 4,5th gen.

  • @naaruu111

I would say that Grippens are 3.5G; and 3.6G if they deliver the NG version...The plane turns out to be 4Gen just in terms of missfailures and maintenance costs. That´s why nobody buys that plane... instead get leases.

You forgot about India´s recent order...adding it to that list of under-developed countries. UK actually has not Grippens on their territory: Just some training program for novice pilots that was dealed by a private school with Sweden´s Ministry of Defense=outsorcing

  • @Funfisique I would say Gripen is definitley a 4th gen fighter. And what do you mean missfailures and maintenance costs?

  • @Funfisique the first part you are actually wrong, if you would just do a little research, you would see that they have sold to several countries worldwide, czech republic, thailand, south afrika, sweden and hungry is using them, and it has big potential to be replacement to other east european MIG-21s and MIG-29s, and Denmark is searching for replacement for their 70 F-16s, and that battle is between F18E/F, JSF, and the gripen, eat that you ignorant!

  • @JVC7400

I might be an ignorant... you are definitively a illiterate retard.

    Learn to READ:

    THIRD WORLD COSTUMERS...

(try reading ALL my posts not JUST one)

  • @Funfisique notice you have made more than two comments on this video, it was a response for the one you made 2 months ago you illiterate retard

  • @JVC7400

Never argue with fcktards...they´ll bring you down to their level...and beat you with their experience.

  • @Funfisique sooo..... you ran out of clever thing to say about the gripen, that means you cant beat me about aircraft

  • Is pilot trying to make Pugachev Cobra in this eurotarded plane?

  • seen this on tv, the computer in th plane crashed or something.

  • he accidentaly puched the eject button

  • Isn't this the SAAB Gripen accident?

  • Either way how many car companies also build fighter jets? Saabs are great cars you feel like you are flying a fighter jet in the new ones.

  • @alibee73mert

What language is that? It's not English. Go back to infants school, they let you out way too soon.

  • @alibee73mert

Ooh, clever reply. It took you 7 months to think of that?

  • he stalled

  • Is that a JAS-39?

  • I'm feeling really bad for the pilot right now!

  • @mychemluvove You'll feel worse when you see the video of the same pilot crashing the first Gripen prototype on landing!

  • gripen

  • boom

  • Fighter plane crash in the sky? I dont think so.... it crashed on the ground.... its like falling off a building... that wont kill you...its the sudden stop at the end which does the damage.....

  • @SoldatenArvidsjaur23 this is why we dont have flying cars....

  • This regularly happens with an F-18. Almost any fighter in the world can take out that piece of crap.

  • @HornetSUCKSForever ...Except this ain't an F-18 :D

hm why do I bother answering stupid postulates?

  • @SoldatenArvidsjaur23 why are you telling that? it supposed to be a secret! god damn it!

  • f/u

  • stupid pilot

  • @hayALLpeople plane problem not pilot error

  • explain, how could he have saved that plane? Ignorant fuck

  • typhoon GONE

  • that's a Grippen

  • WoW!!!

  • This is one of the first SAAB JAS-39 Gripen in Stockholm Sweden that crashes on a small island during an airshow...

  • It crashes into the ground, not the sky???

  • @supermajor1962 ehm...the user is not related to saab engineers team, even we could believe it ...

  • fly by wire=fail

  • It was a frozen over pitot tube causing misinformation to the main computer, the pilot chose to eject after losing a fight with the computer, he could have (but did not) switch to manual control. That info was from the discovery channel.

  • can you say piolit erro resulting in a MAJOR STALL.

  • Ah yes, the tricky "Cobra" Maneuver resulting in... a dead snake.

  • JAS-39 Gripen is usually a reliable aircraft. I wonder what went wrong...

  • Probably an Indian AIr Force pilot testing it for the MRCA competition.

    :-)~

  • crashing ringht down in to the bushes

  • Hiering top AirForce pilots: Lot's of money.

Ejecting and ditching the aircraft: 60 million dollars.

    Capturing it on video: Priceless.

  • true freddie... saab gripen... eurofighter LOL

  • Saab 37, or Lavi.

  • SAAB JAS 39 Gripen

  • What a shame of that Gripen...

  • It's not a Eurofighter. Its a saab. THE EUROFIGHTER I WAY BETTER!!!!

  • yep thats wy you see a saab crash, not a eurofighter. -_-

  • I think that's a Eurofighter Typhoon, they built that plane to be aerodynamicly unstable, and the only thing keeping it in the air is the computers. Good thing the pilot ejected.

  • No, it is not a Typhoon, it's a Saab

  • You're the noob, as you can't even tell the difference between a Saab Gripen and a Eurofighter. Just look at a photo of a Eurofighter, then look at the video. The plane in the video has a SINGLE ENGINE, the Eurofigher has two. The plane in the video has a section of fuselage behind the wings - the Eurofighter does not. The canard are different sizes and shapes, and if you don't know what canards are, you're a noob! Google "Saab Gripen", look at a photo, use your eyes.

  • No it´s a Saab JAS 39 Gripen. Footage is from Sweden.

  • Yes it is a very good aircraft, no it can't fly without computers, because it is designed to be aerodynamically unstable in order to be more manoevrable, this means it needs thousands of small input changes per second to keep it in the air, which a pilot simply cannot do. Computer fails, it falls out of the sky. Except there are backup computers. Noob :)

  • I left primary school in 1984 and I learned to count. I suggest you ask your mummy how to count to two, because the Typhoon has two engines. I hope you don't want to join the RAF because if you can't identify aircraft you won't ever fly. The video was taken on August 8 1993 at Lake Vänern, Sweden, and the Saab is serial number 39-102 and the pilot was Lars Rådeström - look it up noob. It's a famous accident and was on Swedish TV but you don't know that as you weren't born then

  • @freddie212 idiot, it has just one engine, you cant count lmao

  • @freddie212 : No, the video is taken on the Stockholm Water Festival, and the plane crashed in the middle of Stockholm. Look in the background, where you can see a church. Otherwise you're correct.

  • @freddie212 lol sorry but you're the noob. This was shot during the summer of 1993 at the "Water Festival", in Stockholm Sweden during a airshow. Miraculasly no one got seriously injured.

  • @freddie212 you look it up! the plane crashed on the island Långholmen, central Stockholm, Sweden!

  • @RFGNT my apologies, Lake Vänern was 39-156. But it's still a Saab, which was the point of my argument, not the location. And it was still Aug 8 1993.

  • @freddie212 but perhaps you didn't learn your geography? It wasn't in Lake Vänern but Lake Mälaren, in the middle of Stockholm.

  • the fighter crashed because of a computer bug that causes the pilot to be locked out of the controls. this was during the development stage of the fighter, and the design problem was corrected shortly afterward.

  • There's no crash until it hits the ground.

  • what kind of this jetplane

  • I believe that is a Saab Grippen

  • Gripen One P

  • hmm.. At the start you can see a little shiny point, just short. And then crashes the plane. What happens?
