ooh I don't know the music, but I played the demo for The Neverhood! it was one of the first demos I ever played along with Diablo and Firefight :)

I remember the odd plasticine man in a platformer, it looked really cool - is the full game good?

Yeah, Neverhood was ace. A claymation point and click. Recently started re-playing it.

The plasticine chap was called Klaymen, and I think the platformer he starred in after Neverhood was Skullmonkeys. I remember playing a demo of that - hard but great. I believe the designers also created Earthworm Jim.
