@wellsbranchdude you are a believer, not a christian. The word christian means "little christ, or a follower of Christ. If you were a follower of Christ you would do as He commanded you: Be Holy for I am Holy. The word of God says that those who confess and leave sin, reach mercy. A life of holiness is a life of separation from worldy desires and thoughts. You need the Holy Spirit of God to come into your heart and teach you all these principles.
Missionaries when they leave their comfortable lives behind should leave forever. It worked so long time ago when europeans sent and blessed their missionaries not to come back. It meant that missionaries were ready to go and live among those so called indigenous people forever.
I received Jesus about a year ago thanks to Paul Washer.
Now because Jesus took all my sins past, present and future I sin day and night. I spend all my time sinning or finding ways to sin.
I don't want to waste Jesus sacrifice. I love being a christian. Since Jesus ALREADY has forgiven me for ALL my future sins, all I do is sin and wish to sin...
This Jesus thing is great!
I encourage all who read this to become christians. You are free to sin and do whatever you want! No guilt!
@wellsbranchdude only fools would open their mouth and utter such blasphemies to the grace of God, you dont not understand the the mercies and graces of God that lead to holiness and you care not to
It's been almost a year now since my last comment, and I've seen God work in my life more and more. I pray that God will show himself to the people around me, and that I will be able to be used for His cause only. Amen.
I'm 25 now, this "staying at home" type of thing I've been doing for the last couple of months now. It's pretty dangerous to do this for me, as I too suffered from depression before in my life. My family struggles with this, and thinks I will fall back into depression. All I can do is follow God in this crazy time, and still stay true to myself in the end... cause I know he is my Father. God protected me from so many things, and never ceases to amaze me.. I see it now.
Thanks for posting this Lane! I have personally been on 4 mission trips myself, 3 of them being overseas and wasted a ton of money and time in the process. I was one of those teenagers in matching t-shirts in those big groups at the airport. Looking back now, I know we made no positive impact in those countries, and possibly made negative ones because we were so un-Biblical and un-Christian in our character. I wish someone would have shared this with me before I went. I didn't know better.
Thats unfortunate as the work of the apostles in NT was amazingly charismatic. Ofcoz the power of the Holy Spirit demonstrated through the signs and wonders is inseparable from the message of the cross and Gospel of Christ. As Paul says in Romans 15:19"in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ." & in 1 cor 4:20 "For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power."
echo: This is true! However, if one doesn't know what they are to do when in the mission field then it may not be of the Holy Spirit. This is when discernment should be used!
i rather sure that he is knows that the gifts of the Spirit have not passed away. but he may be a bit cautious on the matter due to some of the fruit that has come out of that side.
@SonQuest316 An amazing preacher! I thought I was 'Bright"?? But he goes deeper into the word of God. The way he speaks on the pulpit etc. I believe this man, But we MUST trust and read The "HOLY BIBLE" the scriptures!!

I really hope you're kidding... you're deluded, future sins are not forgiven unless you confess and repent from them.

I always wondered just how much good those missionaries were doing, esp. in light of the money being spent. : (

I love brother Paul Washer's honesty. This challenges me to get deeper in to God's Word. Glory to God alone.
