  • no music IN the actual movie, just let him go all out on the most EPIC end credits ever

  • 14 people got eaten by Cloverfield.

  • Too damn fitting for this movie! My god it's awesome...

  • I love movies that put effort to their soundtrack. Even if this was only showed in the ending credits.

  • Imagine someone setting this as your alarm O_o

  • Such a great Godzilla homage. I hope the new Godzilla movie they are making is awesome.

  • ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR

  • Sure, Godzilla could vaporize baby Clover with a single Mouth Beam... but just you wait until it grows BIGGER!

  • clover is just a baby

  • This film was fucking awesome! A new way to view total destruction, suspend your imagination people!

  • Just so we're clear: J.J. Abrams did not direct Cloverfield. Great piece of music though, and yes I'm aware he produced it, but also, he didn't write it.

  • @Joe301GSE Anything Abrams touches turns to gold, shortly before growing cancerous and dying off.

  • Micheal Gianchino makes alotof good music

  • @1headphoneguy

    Indeed he does.

This was an obvious homage to the score of Godzilla.

  • Chuck Norris wakes up to this every morning.

  • @DaBlackSmokeMonster Chuck Norris doesn't sleep. He waits.

  • ahhhh yesssss!

  • i was playing minecraft to this and when i went in my mine ther was mobs in my mine

  • This is a great homage to Akira Ifukube.

  • Reminds me of Turok 2 music

  • J.J. Abrams thank you for another GREAT movie.

    With a great soundtrack. <3

Person who posted this thank you.

    All hail Cloverfield.

    And fear his Fleas.

  • <3 I hate people who diss this movie.

It never claimed to be anything it isn't... and what is it?

    FREAKIN' AWESOME!

And this music freaks me out, I love it. Yay J.J.Abrams for another great movie.

Watch the behind the scenes stuff, they do say he's just a baby. WATCH out for the fleas XD

  • Godlike.

  • @ceviche789 Nappa: WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT ITS SIZE??!! Vegeta:ITS OVER 9000!!!"

  • the noises make my ears hurt :(

  • This song plays whenever my grumpy dad comes home.

  • That really is excellent quality - a nice change!

  • Listen people if Godzilla and Cloverfield Moster fought godzilla would lift him up and snap him in half in a matter of a minute tops, just look at the facts godzilla destroys cities and could kill like 10 monsters in a day just watch godzilla final wars! Cloverfield couldnt even destroy a good half of New York City

  • @matthew121314151617 Obviously you didn't hear, Clover is a baby. So imagine how big MOMMA is. Besides, Godzilla is old news. He's retired on Monster Island. plus, who gives a shit? They don't exist. THOSE are the facts, my friend.

  • The Cloverfield score (which is only this tiny piece of music) is, in my humble opinion, composer Michael Giacchino's finest work to date.

  • Well at least giant monster movies are still being made, a highly underrated genre. Sure this wasn't Godzilla but who can top the king really.

  • Other than the voice i have noticed two things in the credits that may still link this movie to a movie this was rumored to be.

  • the soundtrack is like godzillas theme or godzillas theme on GMK

  • @MegaRaptor27 matt reeves said on the commentary that the composer was trying for a godzilla style sound as a nod towards the king of the monsters. why clover and godzilla havent had a fight yet is beyond me. fans would tear the walls of the cinema down to see that

  • @Discipleofbabylon My guess? Because even as big as Clover is he's still dwarfed by Gojira not only in terms of size but also sheer power. Clover is a very large, very neat looking, and very fantastical animal, but nothing more. He has no powers above his size, whereas Godzilla has not only the raw strength to level a city but also constantly spews deadly amounts of radiation and can blast the raw atomic energy of an atom bomb from his mouth. Cool as it may seem, it's an imbalanced match.

  • @KeizerXilian being a godzilla fan myself I would say the same thing but you have to remember that what we have seen of clover is only an infant and look at the destruction he is capable of. I'm not saying that it is a certain difference maker but it is a factor. my money would still be on godzilla either way

  • @Discipleofbabylon Godzilla would cave Clover's face in Godzilla is the true King of the Monsters.

  • @KeizerXilian Clovey has fleas to help him

  • I hum this every day when I go to school.

  • @KidComedyOfficial You too?!

  • @Danzilla1996

    Yes. Me too.

  • @KidComedyOfficial I listen to it everyday I go to school! and hum it! oooooooo!

  • @KidComedyOfficial you arer epic :D

  • This song's a direct homage to Godzilla. Reeves has admitted it was designed to have a strong Akira Ifukube sound. Not only that, but its like the only point where the movie lets itself drop its realistic documentary style and embrace its fantastical sci-fi roots.

  • cloverfield best monster movie but all I have to say godzilla + war of the worlds + blair witch= cloverfield but still cloverfield in still a great

  • Gundam vs Cloverfield. Who wins?

  • @RSXemperor85 :

    cloverfield

  • do you think there are 2 monsters in the film

  • 6:58 Good pArt!!!

  • "du-du-du-dudu, du-du-dudu-dudu-duduuuu" - It's a song that's so classic and you can't help but sing along to it whenever you listen to it :)

  • awesome :D

  • Sounds like music for some 1950's historical epic movie.

  • 1:32-1:45---The music that plays when chuck Norris wakes up.

  • Reminds me of super mario galaxy

  • Michael Giacchino is probably the best composer of all time.

He's covered so many different genres and styles of music, and did them all wonderfully.

  • @Gooseworx I wouldnt go that far...i've been a fan since Medal of Honor series. He certainly has tons of promise. He is one of my favorite current composers, but not quite the best yet.

  • Actually there is going to be a sequel in 2014.

  • @KidComedyOfficial Where did you hear that?

  • @ZillaVenom

    IMDB.

  • nothing is happening!!!!!!

  • (From son of acct holder)>>2:34 to 2:55 and 8:55 to 9:18, SO HEROIC i can hear lyric's. THEEEEEEE DEFENDER OF THE UUUUUUUNIVERSE THE VOLTRON LION FOOOOOOORCE!!!

  • The movie was good i just hated the format they used with the video camera it was pretty dumb i thought

  • EPIC! good job

  • One additiional comment,if u please.Lucy Lui gives Godzilla a "happy ending"in the new (non-existent) movie and Rodan makes a guest appearence. The Cloverfield critter still lives.Bottom line, this music score kicks ass.Love it!! Does anybody know Pamela Andersons telephone number?

  • Give me this music,a mini-gun,Mickey Rourke,Christopher Walken and Angelina Jolie and we'll dessimate those camel jockey ragheads in Iraq in a month, maybe two.GOD BLESS AMERICA!! Is that Cloverfield critter still alive?

  • Sounds like they includes some of Godzilla's themes

  • 0:48 and on sounds like Donkey Kong Country 2 tower music.

  • Comment removed

  • kind of sounds like godzilla theme for a little bit

  • they're going to make another cloverfield related movie? i want to know if clover dies with the nuke or stills crushing buildings....

  • @SergeSniper Clover dies in the nuclear bombings.

  • @RedneckRapture clover didn't die... because in the end of the clip someone say.. "it stil alive"

  • @leonppgdz Nope, it's dead. Director of the movie said it died in the bombings

  • @RedneckRapture ok? in which part i mean in the end of the film or what?

  • @leonppgdz Very end. Clover was killed in two nuclear detonations. I know it was nukes because of the sirens (which are used now to notify civilians of a nuclear attack), the fact that the area is listed under military designations in the start of the movie (if it was a MOAB or other smaller weapon system, the city would have remained mostly intact and been repopulated), and by the duration of the orange glow, far longer than even a MOAB's.

  • @RedneckRapture oh cool i got that right... thanks man

  • @RedneckRapture So... why is there the voice at the end that says "It's still alive"?

  • @Jman92854 Sounds more like "...still alive?" as in asking if the girl with him was still alive. Made all the more likely by the fact that the JJ Abrams, the DIRECTOR, has stated that Clover died from the bombings.

  • @RedneckRapture How did you hear a question? I heard "It's still alive" like "Oh shit, it's not dead yet!". And where, did he say Clover died? On the dvd commentary? Now why, would he say Clover died, yet have that "It's still alive" line at the end?

  • @Jman92854 It sounds like the guy turned over, having survived the blast, and asks 'still alive?' to the girl.

The director of the movie has more of a say over whether the monster is dead than you do, and he says it died. So it's more logical to believe that the couple under the bridge survived somehow.

  • @RedneckRapture They dropped a NUKE on them. They didn't survive. And answer the question, where does J.J Abrams say Clover died? And he wasn't the director, Matt Reeves directed it. Clover didn't die when he was shot by tanks, machine guns, or even regular bombs. They said it like "Oh shit, it's still alive", they didn't survive. Plus, did you notice the bricks that landed on them? That's a powerful blast, considering they hid under a little bridge in the "area formally known as Central Park".

  • @Jman92854 ONE, These two were under a bridge that was going over two dirt crests. That's a place to be to survive a bombing.TWO, it sounds more like him asking her if she's still alive, because that's what I would ask someone next to me AFTER i survived a bombing. THREE, what the director says contradicts what that whisper MIGHT say, and i can't find the article where he states it but i can site several sources who state JJ said the monster died, including TV tropes and the cloverfield wiki.

  • @RedneckRapture Okay, 1. It was a NUKE! That destroys EVERYTHING. 2. He wasn't asking. How does it sound like a question? Again, didn't survive! 3. Yes, it contradicts what the whisper says, and it seems that no one is buying that. Did you ever hear of "Being had"? I'm not saying your wrong, but I'm not saying your right, either. The sequel may be a different perspective of the first, OR it's a continuation.

  • @Jman92854 Your first point invalidates your argument that clover is alive at the end of the movie.

  • @RedneckRapture But here's where I revalidate it. The camera survived cause it's "found footage". I THOUGHT it was a nuke, I could be wrong. I think there's some kind of missile they launch and they still sound the alarm, but not as powerful. Hell, Roaches can survive a nuclear Holocaust, so not EVERYTHING is destroyed. I highly doubt after what an hour and a half of tanks shooting him, and some bombs dropping on him, when all it does is scare him away that he would be dead just like that.

  • @Jman92854 Your revalidation fails. You cannot compare tanks and conventional bombs, who's main damage is done by penetration and shockwaves, to a direct hit with a nuke, which burns hotter than the surface of the sun. It is more logical to say clover died than clover survived. And since they overkilled and hit clover with TWO nukes, the proof is in the pudding.

  • @RedneckRapture Okay, so how do you know it was two nukes? Plus, I'm sorry, what's your proof besides nukes and what the creator said? Unless he died onscreen, I'm sorry, but I won't believe it until I see it. Like I said, creators can lie to you to surprise you. I'll wait for the sequel, thank you. And again, the audio at the end, SAYS "Help us" reversed "It's still alive". Not like a question. Again, I'm sorry, you need to get your hearing checked there, buddy.

  • @Jman92854 One, the sirens signify it was a nuclear attack since there obviously was no air raid. Two, the length of the glow signifies it was a nuclear attack, since not even a MOAB leaves a lasting glow like that. Three, there were two explosions, so there were two nukes. Four, the "still alive?" at the end was a whisper, not a shout like it would have been if the monster were alive.

  • @RedneckRapture Yes, it was a whisper, but it doesn't sound like a question. Besides, why do they have to yell so you can go "Oh, the monster must be dead since they're whispering". Again, it's "It's still alive", how it sounds like a question is beyond me.

  • @Jman92854 Look at the end of the movie. THey are buried under rubble. Look at some of the alternate endings, where they are found. In one you see a soldier picking up the camera. Then at the end it says "...still alive..." Which is most logically taken to be a question to his girlfriend asking if she's alive, making the stinger give the movie a non-downer ending. That's what I see, not your fanboy driven delusion.

  • @RedneckRapture Funny, cause being a fanboy means you listen to the creator, take everything they say to heart, and then defend what the creator says/the movie or show of their liking if someone disagrees. Did I ever do that? No. You on the other hand, use what the creator said as an argument, AND the alternate endings, which, do not count, why? Cause they're ALTERNATE. I love how you ignore what I'm saying about creators lying to trick the fans, it does happen.

  • @Jman92854 there should be a movie called "The Defense of Jman92854"

  • @MrJman910 Okay, MrJman. Lol And should that be taken as a compliment or an insult? I see it going either way.

  • @Jman92854 Comploment and Insult... Complinsult

  • @MrJman910 I'll take it more as a compliment. Lol But thank you either way.

  • @RedneckRapture If it was a nuke then how the hell did they retrieve the camera and film? It would have been melted by the blast. Think genius, it would make lots more sense to use a heavy explosive like a daist cutter bomb or a fuel air explosive.

  • @OldSchoolPatriot2012

Yeah it's implied that it was air fuel. A MOAB or something of that nature. Very localized damage with a high enough yield to deep six that big bad monster.

  • @OldSchoolPatriot2012 the camera was cover by 4 ftof concrete rubble!

  • @RedneckRapture Cloverfield is still alive at the beginning of the movie it stated a military achieve video number and Multiple cases of Cloverfield. New York was just one of many.

  • Ok, back to the director said Clover died. Do not pass Go. Do not collect 200 dollars.

Second, there are other people seen recording events with their own camcorders. Other videos exist. And the military video archieve's numbering system is based on when a number is entered into the system, not how many videos there are of one event.

  • @RedneckRapture Hmm that makes sense. But what I really want to see is the movie shot the same but from a US Ranger Helmet-mounted Camera perspective, it would be awesome.

  • @RedneckRapture But those were all articles... did you ever HEAR him say it? And if he did say that, a director can lie to fool people about the next movie. Like Micheal Bay with Shockwave in TF3.

  • @RedneckRapture Cloverfield was directed by Matt Reeves. JJ Abrahms was the executive producer.

  • @RedneckRapture aww :( , but at the same time, phew! are you shure he died? i dont think so...

  • @RedneckRapture is that why they're making a second cloverfield movie? Lmao

  • @Shindori Two things about a second movie. First, the creature was a baby. The second movie could be a 'momma's angry' movie. Second, if you watch the movie again and pay close attention on the Brooklyn Bridge, you'll see there's some other people with camcorders. It could be the same event from a different perspective.

  • @RedneckRapture

If they do make a second movie it should be a completly different set of events. i.e. alien attack, with different characters. tnf it shouldnt even be a sequal just a different movie shot the same way

  • Giacchino rocks !!!

  • no se escucha ni una wea po

  • would fit PERFECTLY for the final chapter of Crysis 2.

  • 10 guys got flamed in the subway

  • Amazing :D

Does anyone know any other beautiful pieces like this, other than Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings?

  • @ClayGunslinger I would recommend Vejur Flyover from Star Trek the Motion Picture in particular, but there's tons of good stuff in movie scores, some other good ones include Gladiator, King Arthur, all 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Transformers (both), other Star Trek movies, the list goes on.

  • @Justintime4math I cant believe i forgot Pirates of the Caribbean DX thanks though :)

  • @ClayGunslinger well besides what Justintime4math said, i'd also i recommend the OST from Kingdom of Heaven and Conan the Barbarian (clasic) of the top of my head concerning movies. You might wanna try soundtracks from games (the Spellforce series has an epic score, Starcraft 2) , or anime (i highly recommend the OST from Fairy Tail with the exceptions of the intro/outro all the others are just amazing).

  • @Palora01 I've also heard great game scores and as well can't believe I for got about those as well. My memory is getting worse XD But thanks to you as well =)

  • @ClayGunslinger Go Shindlers List main theme, Gladiators main theme, and Harry Potter theme? Lol

  • @showingtheway haha. Harry Potter theme was pretty nice. I'll check the others :)

  • @ClayGunslinger Here's some more that you will like, Source Code main theme, Inception main theme, Bourne Identity main theme. Hope that helps, also all of these movies are very entertaining and i recommend watching them.

  • @ClayGunslinger Two Steps From Hell is a really good instrumental band :D

  • Godzilla and Clover don't have to fight. Godzilla could take Clover as his little buddy and they could go around destroying cities together. (It'd be like a buddy cop movie, but apocalyptic)

  • @GunnarMcGriff Cloverfield 2: Well, we're boned

    XD

  • @GunnarMcGriff That would be EPIC! that should be the sequel.

  • @GunnarMcGriff Simple way to kill Godzilla: Bunker Buster to the head. You can't heal from your head exploding.

  • @GunnarMcGriff GODZILLA IS AN EARTH DEFENDER NOT EARTH DESTROYER

  • @MegaRaptor27 He defends Earth from aliens and such so that he can destroy it himself.

  • @GunnarMcGriff That's correct!

  • @GunnarMcGriff but godzilla was a good guy.......?

  • @jacker372 When you're that big, it doesn't really matter whose side you're on.

  • @jacker372 no

  • @123121s1 yea he fights other monsters....like robo godzilla for instance try watching some of the old movies. Even in the newer 2000 one Godzilla didnt actually try to kill anyone she just wanted to lay her eggs, but the army still attacked her cause she was big and scary!

  • @GunnarMcGriff are you serious, clover is twice the size of zilla, at least.

  • @liampw20 Zilla isn't even a thing, son

  • @GunnarMcGriff you pedantic cunt, you know what i meant

  • @liampw20 Whoa-ho, someone mad

  • @GunnarMcGriff not mad, annoyed

  • @liampw20 Let's just simmer down now

  • @liampw20 NOT TO MENTION Clover's just a baby! Imagine it's adult size!

  • @ceviche789 how do u know its just a baby?

  • @TheBringerOfPS3 I think it was JJ Abrams he said it was a baby.

  • @ceviche789 biollante :3

  • @ceviche789 its*

  • @GunnarMcGriff ha yeah right

  • @GunnarMcGriff :

a real "clash of the titans", the idea sounds good

  • @GunnarMcGriff wach lbrosfilms

  • @GunnarMcGriff This is true what will happen if they met?

I challenge any person to publish full video for cloverfield

  • @GunnarMcGriff So, they'll play "good monster/bad monster" with cities? One attacks from the north, the other comes in to defend from the south, two hours later they call it a day and head to the bar?

  • @GunnarMcGriff That would be incredible.

  • 10 people ARE flaming homeless guys.

  • I didn't like the movie too much (A tad too shaky) But the atmosphere and music was spot on...

  • So dramatic! It's wonderful!

  • This is so awesome. I wonder how it would sound Daft Punk'd....

  • @CakeIsOssim /watch?v=hqCsU6jfpDE

  • @josperez59 hahaha thats pretty good. :D

  • Sounds great. Every work of his reminds me of Lost, he has such a profound style

  • I didn't know there was music at all in the music. I guess the credits?

  • @Sepharite you guessed right

  • ...it's still alive...

  • @Parhe
