Why does everyone are constantly whining about Dani and COF? They aren't a black metal band anymore but you have to remember that COF has done a few classic black metal songs in the past. For example Queen of winter throned is definetly the best BM song i've ever heard. Don't take me wrong 'cause i do listen to this so called "true" black metal alot. And none of those "true" black metal bands haven't reached to that what COF used to be.

Rap might be awesome for some people but equally metal might be awesome for others, everyone have their own opinions and I gave mine, this explains that the 25 likes I got on my comment agree with me. But again I'm not too keen on "dumb" rap and never was. My family doesn't like metal but they certainly don't like rap neither and they are all "much older" than me.

What the hell sherlocks? Still arguing about what was the first blackmetalband and from where? Take an ear in your hand and listen to Venom's Black Metal. It doesn't really sound like blackmetal to me. Now listen to some early Bathory, much more like blackmetal. Now some Hellhammer, again closer to black metal. One could say that Venom invented black metal, and Norway, Sweden and Finland made black metal to what it is considered nowadays.

Black metal is only dangerous if you're an easily led moron, and easily led morons are dangerous in any scene. As to whether CoF is BM, I'd argue that Dusk and Her Embrace and The Principle of Evil Made Flesh are among the finest BM records ever made. Now they are gothic metal, but I'd say he still has some right to comment in this doc.

I understand why a person who doesn't listen to a lot of metal would call them black metal--perhaps they just don't know what else to call it. But Dani has been around metal for a long time, he should know what BM really sounds like, and he should know what the interviewer's question is referring to, AND he knows damn right that CoF had no part in that. When do people open their ears instead of their eyes and realize that Cradle Of Filth is far away form black metal!? They have influences from lots of musical genres, including black metal in some tracks, their audience are the gothic, pseudo-gothic and maybe even some emo kids, truly for the subcultural mainstream. COF have absolutely nothing to do with black metal and those who claim they do have no idea to which true black metal aims.
