I can't believe I didn't see this when it was put up. I'm from BC so I know what poutine is all about, and I gotta say... that Potato Champion poutine looks absolutely scrumptious!!! Awesome video Jason! :)
If you want a real one, come to Québec! I live in Montréal and it's in almost every eatery. I am truly lucky being in the land of gravy and cheese curds.
man, Poutine looks Delicious!!! But this is coming from a guy who eat's "poor man pizza" 3-4 days a week.....which is Soft shell tortilla, splash of canned spaghetti sauce, & a handful of shredded cheese....mmmmmmmmm...so hungry
Yep - you are one smooth-talker with the gals. Oh, sorry I though you meant poon-tang! Looks good though...no big deal. Get oot and aboot more often, lots of great food oot there.
Looking for some Poutine here in NJ, and the only thing I seem to be able to find are "Disco Fries". Which might be slightly different...not sure. Anyone know? :)
@flynnz im pretty sure the only difference is the cheese curds. Ive seen disco fries on some cooking shows and they just use shredded cheese. Flavor wise not too much difference more of a texture thing, but cheese curds are delicious.
i know this may sound crazy but veg. gravy actually makes for a way better poutine. Im from Canada and the best poutine places all use vegetarian gravy. I do believe poultry gravy is traditional though.
I miss America. Those "medium" sized portions. Our larges are like your smalls. What you get in liquid ounce foot inch cups we get the same number in millilitres.
It's funny how you guys are all amazed by it! I'm a French Canadian, and pretty much every restaurant sells poutines over here. I probably eat more poutine than I should, but I just can't help it because it's just so damn good!
I gotta say Jason, even though RobMan is from the west coast and not French, he definitely made a good choice on the St-Hubert Gravy, for canned gravy that shit is the best! I didn't even know they sold St-Hubert Gravy outside of Québec and New-Brunswick.
@jacobleb420 yeah really, though at my grocery store we got the st huberts and the other choice is our compliments... hahaha..
but yeah, as a montrealer you really take our fast food for granted until you go to other cities (new york for example) we got belle province, petit quebec, and 10 million mom and pop restaurants... all open late every night if not 24h.. manhatten everything is closed by 7 unless it's a hotdog street vendor haha.
How far of a travel is this for you Jason? is it safe to say this will now be a new hotspot to visit? IDK poutine still LOOKS pretty disgusting, but it likely is pretty damn good.
@PeteDorr Its about 20 minutes from my place in Portland, not too far, worth the drive for sure! The food truck scene in Portland has just blown up, they are everywhere and have some amazing food! If you want to just go on a food crawl, this is the spot to do it!
Ahrg! How am I supposed to find cheese curds in Sweden!?
I really want to try that sh*t ASAP!! Great video though, got that field trip stuf going on.
Thumbs up for more of that!

Why would you get a medium?
You drove all that way for a bloody medium?
I'd have got extra curds and all. Fuck I want a poutine now.
If only my brother didn't con me out of 5 bucks, I'd go buy some cheese right now.
