  • Seeing Harry Morgan brought a tear to my eye...he looked like he was having a good time in that episode. RIP Harry...

  • Rest In Peace,HARRY MORGAN......12/7/11

  • THAT'S NOT DAVID CASSIDY SINGING!

  • AT least not on the first song. - I LOVE THIS VIDEO

  • Interesting whoever did this included songs when David wasn't actually singing.

  • @jlee3212001 It was a group of LA session singers. They were usually listed discreetly on the back of the PF albums.

  • @badpappy1 David Cassidy in an interview said he was singing but, when they mixed the sound they wanted him to sound younger so they tried to make him sound about 16.

  • loved partridge family

  • Thank you Star618 for this wonderful mini concert. It's become my goto YouTube video when I just want to relax and be happy. I find myself humming these tunes during the day, and it makes me smile. 8D

  • was tracy retarded?

  • @elbabalao sadly yes

  • This would be so much better if it weren't for that fuckhead Danny

  • @jerrysboys2

    IKR

  • @jerrysboys2 Danny Made that show ya dipshit!

  • right around 7 19 seconds reminds me of hilley clinton in a pant suit

  • This is a fantastic video. I love the first 3 songs a whole lot and think these were the best ever. I have two CDs of all their hits and a DVD of the last season of the TV show I got for christmas two years ago. These songs are all fantastic and love the show and thank god for people that appreciate their music as much as I do. David and Shirley did sing on all the records.David was so hot then and had all his posters on my wall when I was 10 when this was on television. Thanks for the post.

  • Shirley Jones - let's just say I had to lay on my stomach to watch The Partridge Family when my family was around. By that I mean I had to hide my boner.

  • shirley jones, - milf , still is

  • DAVID Cassidy is HOTTER

  • DAVID Cassidy is HOTTER

  • Shirley Jones has a smile that can light up a dark room. A very pretty lady indeed!

  • Why are these always those weird shots of the youngest boy on the drums? He just has a stare and rocks back and forth.

  • My mommy loved that show when she was a little girl like me.

  • Shirley Jones was my second fantasy at the time. First, though, was Marlo Thomas. The first time I saw "That Girl", I was enthralled. Of course, I was seven at the time, so I suppose that the extent of my mental debauchery amounted to, "Gee, she's so pretty!"

  • The Ron Hicklin Singers ruled the 70's -- the Partridge Family, the Monkees, countless singers, movie, TV and commercial scores are ALL the Hicklin Singers.

  • @artdrtr2 OK, The Monkees vocals were Davy, Micky, Mike and Peter only. In The Patridge Family, David Cassidy and Shirley Jones actually did sing.

  • Nothing worth watching on TV now.....

  • Shirley jones was HOT in 1970-1974.....today ,well she is just TOO SOLID...shes been to the kitchen one toomany times

  • @nealadams70 You should rent "Grandma's Boy", Shirley is still kinda HOT.

  • @TheFrogger15 I HAVE seen "Grandma's boy"......and my comment STILL stands

  • She looks younger there ,than she did in 1956 in the musical Carousel

  • Era una serie donde se mostraba la unión familiar, los valores familiares, la dedicación de los padres con sus hijos, a pesar de que en esos tiempos las familias eran numerosas. Ah, tiempos aquellos! Gracias por recordármelos!!

  • Mom is making her debut!

  • Gracias por evocarme tan bonitos recuerdos de mi infancia.

  • Davids first sung song was "I Think I Love You". This song moved the Beatles from number 1 to number 2.

  • Is the first song sang by David cause it sounds like someone else?

  • Enjoyable part of the past. The 70s' really did rule - the clothes, the cars, the TV shows and the music.

  • Thanks for putting this together, not hits, but good songs...

  • None of their hits but all really good pop songs.

  • I was so in love with Shirley Partridge when I was a teen. And watching this, I'm getting stiff all over again. She's so frickin hot. Thanks for posting it. (now where's that handcream)

  • @nubrubber is shirley the mom?

  • Good quality video. I love the Harry Morgan sequence--works so well with the song, the underrated "Give Myself a Little Time" (one of my faves). Gotta like the kidsl, but Chris and Tracy are way out of their league as fake musicians. Shirley's good as Mom and a good singer, but let's face it, she does not "rock" particularly well. Mostly I like Cassidy's voice--he really had something. Too bad he got labeled a teeny-bopper. He had more to offer--the voice has soul. Some solid songs.

  • Is it true Shirly Jones used to be a man?

  • @gooneyboy89 Is it true that you were born a hermaphrodite ???

  • im 11, so, WHO ARE ALL OF THEESE PEOPLE? o.O

  • @startrekgirl258 The Partridge Family was a 1970s sitcom that originally aired on ABC. It starred actors Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Danny Bonadce, Brian Forster, Suzanne Crough, and Dave Madden who played the Band's Manger. The show was about a widowed mother and her five children who embark on a music career. It aired from 1970-1974 and it made a teen idol out of actor and singer David Cassidy. It also had many celebrity guest stars. Today many of the actors still act and sing.

  • Amazingly, I don't know many of The Partridge Family's songs at all. I love how you've edited this!

  • David Cassidy has nothing to be ashamed of!!

  • Brings back memories when you have not seen it

on tv sence you been a litte girl or boy they made

    great songs so much?

  • Brings back memories when you have not seen it

on tv sence you been a litte girl or boy they made

    great songs so much?

  • Brings back memories but David was the only one who played a insturment , no one else played , thats why David was the only one who would go on concert ..

Crue aka Ya THAT bass player

  • Disco was a hopeful reincarnation of bubblegum, but neither lasted. It looks as though they were each assassinated, doesn't it... A lot of early classic rock and 70s duets and singer-songwriters were also a temporary phenomenon that had a strong value but was somehow sidelined by negative crap and mundane, pedestrian "party" music. And no, I don't mean party music that can in any way compare with real disco.

  • play this on your ipods in the fields of veitnam

  • Pretty Shirley with the great legs. She was my first MILF love affair. Of course I'd schtup Susan Dey in a heartbeat, too.

  • I always used to find myself staring at Shirley Jones's Boots! - i was a bout 16 and Full of Testosterone, no wonder, then i would gare at Susan dey and be in Love with her! - then i noticed just how cute david cassidy was, and his lovely shiny hair, i ended up falling in love with him, but only wanted to shag Susan & Shirley...i was kinda seriously 'Fucked Up!!!!!

  • I remember all of the episodes that these songs were from. Gosh, do I feel old! LOL!!

  • I had such an incredible crush on Shirley. There is just something soooo sexy about her. Maybe it's her great legs...i dont know.

  • Not a fan of most of these songs where David Cassidy isnt' singing,. He proved himself better than the studio singers after those first couple/three episodes.. He was WAY more talented a singer no doubt!!

  • Happy Birthday today to Shirley Jones....76!!!!

  • after watching this, i never really new how good they really were..they were awesome,,,, great tv show too, they dont make em like this anymore..

  • Loved it, but too bad the only real voices came from David and Shirley. The rest were studio musicians. ;)

  • I think that in 1970 no one would have thought of Shirley as anything but a nice mother figure. I know It never crossed my mind at the time that a short-haired blonde mother of 5 could be anything but a mommy. SUSAN was hot. SHIRLEY was a groovy mom. It was the days before Cougars, Jaguars and sex appeal beyond age 30 for women.

  • A pesar que no soy de la decada de los 70´s pero cuando vi esta serie aca en mi pais hace 7 años me fascino y ha quedado marcada en mis recuerdos para siempre.

  • undo your buckles, shirley!

  • People keep sayng "Shirley Jones is hot". I think they mean Susan Dey. SHE plays Laurie, not Shirley Jones.

    Shirley Jones is the mom.

Glad I could help straighten that out.

  • @001bf No offense man, but Shirley IS hot! I don't believe that a misunderstanding exists in this case.

Susan is groovy, baby. But Shirley is HOT!

  • I completely agree with you man. But when it comes to women De Gustibus non disputandum . (There is no arguing about taste). Blondes and Short haired girls do not appear on my libido radar screen any more than midgets and contestants on the biggest loser but that's just me :).

  • For us older guys, Shirley is definitely HOT!

  • @Chawman: I'm 51. The oldest woman I've ever dated was 42- and that was 6 years ago. So I'm sorry: Susan Dey is the hottie.

  • sorry its not even a close call susan Dey is pretty but Shirley Jones back then was unbellievably beautiful . I'll clear things up Shirley Jones is THE one !

  • @quakey987 wrong

  • Wow they fake it good!

  • that really took me back..thanks for posting.

  • sorry im worng. it was when the mob was chasing him over some girl named lavone

  • the last one is where Danny thinks he is adopted

  • Thx for posting it, I spent good min here..love it!

  • Thanks star618 - the 70's were the best!

  • Thanks Star618! Rockin' the House!

  • I read jeremy was a freak. He looks like he just got out of bed. David looks high. Shirley is hot - nice porno eyes...

  • SHIRLEY JONES IS HOT!!!!!

  • @PalmieriRacing Yeah, she definitely is. She could be my widowed step-mom anyday.

  • @PalmieriRacing She was my favorite t.v. mom.

  • @PalmieriRacing

Yes, Shirley was HOT in her day :)

  • @PalmieriRacing she would be WAY hotter if she had longer hair

  • What a feel good show! Still awesome. You can still catch David and Shirley on ABC's family "Ruby and the Rockits"

  • How can you not love this song :)

  • Thanks for posting. Beautiful memories from beautiful melodies; keeping the innocense real. A precious gem!

  • Love this mini concert. I would have loved to seen the real band, with Shirley and David.

  • totally agree with you, they were great times and yes lost in space should have gone on longer.

  • The majority of this mini-concert aren't even David Cassidy. It's the "Ron Hicklin Singers."

  • The first album was good but too bad they didn't redo it with more of Keith and Shirley.

  • I have to admit, I only listen to Christian music now, BUT, I loaded all the Partridge Family songs on my MP3 player, they reminded me of days much simpler, happier, before my daddy died.. so these are all personal favorites!

  • a beautiful comment.... I wish I knew you...

  • I can hardly remember many things freom my childhood (I'm 45 now) but I sure remember The Partridge Family! That was really family sundays waiting for the show.Great days indeed!!!

  • I LOVED the song "That'll Be The Day"!!! Still do :) Thanks for the memories!

  • Do'nt forget saturday afternoon's waiting for American Bandstand to get the latest dance steps

  • Look at the way Danny is looking at his "sister" Laurie, aka Susan Dey in the first song. He's got that "I want to make out w/ you" or the "can I see u naked" look. LOL!

  • what young girl was'nt i love David Cassidy

  • How many of us couldn't wait for Friday nights so we could watch them and the Brady Bunch? Even my dad would watch sometimes - back then, we all had one TV and we watched what Dad watched, but Friday nights belonged to the kids!

  • totally agree we also had the monkees, the banana splits, lost in space etc.good memories.

  • Hi, your comment got my intention i am a big Partridge Family and David Cassidy fan and always will be but i never see anyone comment on Lost In Space! That was one of my favorites i watched over and over for years and now i purchased all the Dvd's! I watched Lost in Space with my Dad none of my friends liked it but i loved it. I loved the Jupiter 2 Dr.Smith,Will and the Robot really the whole show was great and i think could have gone on for at least 3or4 more seasons!

  • I only saw it a couple times when I was a kid but lately I've watched it with my kids a few times and it's hokey at times but still pretty good.

  • Trippy. Sound cool. The music always was the highlight of the night. The David Cassidy, Shirley Jones, Susan Dey, vocals always stole the show. TV was just more exciting back then.

  • Farrell did alter Cassidy's voice by slightly speeding it up to make him sound younger on the first two Albums (Partridge Family Album & Up To Date) But STOPPED that process altogether by the Third Album (Sound Magazine) and all the rest. Yeah it sucks, but Cassidy's voice isn't mutilated or anything on those albums--he still sounds great on them...and by the third one you hear his normal range anyway....

  • The 70s ruled!

  • @cmsahe Yeah!

  • Yes it's a wonderful reel to reel recorder...the only one in the world that has a magical cue that starts when everyone else starts !!!

  • I was in love with David Cassidy

  • What's the make of that reel-to-reel tape recorder? Is that an Otari?

  • Great video!

    Even Better Sound!

    Thanx!

  • i love david cassidy and all of his songs! i can sing along with almost all of them! the 70's were a great decade. sometimes i wish i could go back and relive again! i still listen to the partridge family to this day! those were the good old days!

    inlovewithdavidcassidyforever!!

  • good time in my life...

  • Wow! Great memories of happier carefree days as a kid in 70s.

  • I couldnt make my mind up then and I still cant after 38 years, Shirley or Susan , both so beautiful...

  • This mix of On the Road is far better than what's on the album. They should have used this mix

  • shirly, queen of the milfs

  • You are so right! At 17 in '70, besides Susan Dey, I thought Shirley Jones was one beautiful lady! Pretty hot!!!!

  • Wow! What great memories.

Even though the singers were studio, the songs were pretty darn good. And I think they hold up even today.

  • this is a cool video-- I remember watching the show when I was a kid. Couple of the songs though I didn't remember.

  • Even if David didnt sing on some of the songs on the 1st LP I still enjoyed them

  • it's so obvious that they are lip syncing.... lol but its good for the 70's... i love this show!

  • One of the most underrated Partridge Family songs was 'On The Road' from their first album, which is included here. It has great soaring vocals and its only appearance was on one episode - and, even then, an incomplete version.

A great series that featured great songs from a great group during a great era - if you were born in December, 1960 like I was (!). A far more innocent time, for sure!

  • OMg this is fantastic, ty so much for putting this together. I remember every episode!! This is wonderful!!!

  • It was nice to go back to the 70's for a few moments...

  • Brings back happy memories of one of my favorite situation comedies from the 1970s thank you very much for this video Love it ! I give it four **** 's

  • I love this! Thank you!

  • Very good! Many songs I had forgotten.

  • The song "Let The Good Times End" was from the 1969 pilot episode, before the shows producers, who had only wanted Shirley to sing, found out that David could sing. The singer on that track was John Bahler, who married Janet Lennon of the Lennon Sisters and leads the Lawrence Welk orchestra at the Welk Resort in Branson, Missouri.

  • Great clip, but it seems weird with another voice singing from David's mouth. The voice sounds too old for 16 year old "Keith" At least when they got David to sing they made his voice sound more like Keith should've sounded at that age.

  • What?

  • I LUV IT! THANKS!

  • Great Video compilation!

And you included the one song both The Partridge Family AND The Cowsills (on whom the show is loosely based) recorded: "I Really Want To Know You".

I'm adding this to my favorites.

    Let's see some more!

  • That is awesome! I'd love to see more like this! Thank you!!!

  • Wow! Music sounds great, though the picture is much darker than I remember.
