The reason why people are black in Africa and the south is to protect their skin from the sun, black people never get sun burn, so when they move north over a few generations they slowly turn white. I hiked into a situation this summer at Mt Mitchell where campers along the ridge (Commissary Ridge) were getting their packs picked off by a huge male black bear. For some reason I started acting like I work for animal planet. I usually don't record the bears :D
