  • 2 nephi 9 39 and 41. Just read those verses and felt something ;)

  • I'm going to the temple on my birthday, next wednesday. Best birthday present ever

  • Comment removed

  • question: Why do we need Temples? Isnt Jesus the Temple?

  • @faithalonemormon The purpose of the temple is performing sacred saving ordinances.

  • @faithalonemormon Those type of questions will be answered on the Churches website Lds.org.

  • Umaara100 you can see your mom in the afterlife families are forever

  • que alguien lo traduza yo no hablo ingles por favor

  • @SunshineConlon your awesome

  • Thank you so much for this very inspiring video. keep the faith always.. and may God bless and protect you and your family always. :)

  • @vanillasunshyne thanks for giving us a chance! its true, most christians do only read the bible, but to me, a christian is anyone who is willing to follow jesus christ

  • :) my favorite place to go to every Friday! What a blessing it is to have temples!

  • Im not a Mormon but i love the idea of the Temple. And the beliefs behind them.My Mother passed away before i could tell her how much i loved her.I did not treat her to well yet she loved me and gave me her all til she could give no more and i wish i could see her again.

  • @vanillasunshyne Doctrine and Covenants

  • When I was in the car with my spanish friend, he asked me why our temples took so long to build. My answer? There is so much detail in creating a house worthy enough for Him.

My Grandpa asked me why we do Baptisms for the Dead (he's not a member) my answer? I pulled out 1Corinthians chapter fifteen and showed him.

I am Mormon and proud of it :)

  • A while ago, my Grandfather asked me why we do Baptisms for the Dead quoting it as 'silly' and telling me that it didn't do anything. I told my mom who told me to go to 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and gave him the answer. I'm always going to remember that scripture for when people ask me why we do Baptisms for the Dead.

  • I love going to the Temple here in Hawaii ;) I just wish my family could go there withe, but I know they will.. :)

  • @TheAngelmj15 same here...im a first generation member:) patience. If you have a desire, let that desire lead you to act....and with the right actions the blessings will follow. How great is your desire? What do you need to do? what can you do? God knows the answer to all these guestions...seek them as hidden treasure and with enough faith you can move mountains:)

  • This video makes it sound like temple worship was lost in Christianity, but it never was. I'm Greek Orthodox, and we worship in temples, and so do the Catholics. Church refers to the community of believers. The building we worship in is called a temple, because we have sacrificial worship. Temples in ancient times were used specifically for sacrifical worship, but I don't know of Mormons worshipping sacrifically. Do Mormons worship sacrifically in temples?

  • Maybe this comment doesn't belong here.. but.

The best weapon to 'kill' your enemies with..

Love, and kindness. You'll get the most unexpected results.

  • what was lost? thre is nothing in the BoM that was not covered in the Bible.

  • ...That we, through the grace of God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, have seen the plates... And we also know that they have been translated by the gift and power of God, for his voice hath declared it unto us;...we have seen the engravings which are upon the plates...an angel of God came down from heaven, and he brought and laid before our eyes, that we beheld and saw the plates...And it is marvelous in our eyes. OLIVER COWDERY, DAVID WHITMER, MARTIN HARRIS

  • i love the temples.. is a place of love, pace, light..

Thank you God 4 Give us the Gospel in our days.

  • It is a beautiful thing, i go to the church of jesus christ of latter day saints and im 11 and i have been inside the temple next to it, it is amazing! you feel so diffrent in a good way, i went in for the open house of the temple and when i was at an activity day at my church, and it is just you can feel more close of more amazing its the best thing you could ever do.

  • Here's what I don't understand: I believe God is omnipresent...He's everywhere. It seems to me that (in this religious mindset) God is being placed into a "box"...or a Temple in this case. Jesus tore the veil to the holy of holies when He died on the cross at Calvary. That says to me that God can be experienced anytime, anywhere! I think if we place too much emphasis on a building...we are denying in some fashion the greatness of our Chief Cornerstone!

  • @ajeremy09 we can feel his presence every where the temple is just where you can feel it the strongest

  • @ajeremy09 There is more to the temple than just feeling close to our Heavenly Father. There is also very important work done which is necessary for eternal salvation. Feeling closer to God whilst inside is just a bonus i guess. We are not restricting His spirit to a box, everyone can feel His love and presence everywhere. However, having gone through the temple myself, you feel a spirit in there that you have never felt before and you know without a doubt that you are in a holy place.

  • @ajeremy09 The temple is where we can go to feel closer to God. Yes, we can find God anywhere, but in the temple there is a greater ability to draw closer to Him and feel his presence. It eliminates the distractions of the world and allows us to focus all of our mind and spirit on Him. We do not just place him in a box, so to speak. We also feel his presence in our weekly worship in chapels, and in our daily lives as we pray and seek to find Him. The temple is for us to feel him even more

  • @ajeremy09 I also wonder about if god is the 3 omni's then shouldn't all of their life be a prayer since he already knows everything you do as you do it.

  • @ajeremy09 Knowledge and understanding needs to be sought after as hidden treasure. Prov2,3 Heavenly Father is not being placed in a box... and also this is not just another religion. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the face of this earth... Eph5:23 Jesus Christ is the head of the church. The gospel of Christ has been restored in these latter-days Rom1:16 Matt24:14 I know that this is true and it is my testimony that has set me free.

  • I live close to the Cardston Temple which is in the southwest corner of Alberta Canada. This was the first Temple in Canada and some of THE most beautiful wood work is in this Temple, it simply took my breath away. I also go to church in the oldest working LDS church in Canada. It is so humbling to know that those walls were erected by the men who founded our church....we even have a balcony! lol Im so proud and humbled to be LDS, i wish all to seek and find your place in God's kingdom.

  • Temples are such peaceful, beautiful places. We go there to learn, to serve our families and to feel the spirit. I love to go there, especially with my family. We are so blessed to have temples as the central focus in our church and daily lives. Everything we do should focus on the temple.

  • I love being a member of this church!!!!!!!!!!

  • Elder Holland!! :DD

  • It really sums up Mormonism!

  • Mormons have such pretty temples I wish my religion (catholic) had temples

  • Why is it not called a church?

  • @gooieslee

A church (often called a "chapel" or "meeting house" by the LDS community) is a place to gather every week and fellowship with each other and take the Sacrament (called "Communion" by other Christians), as well as other meetings and activities throughout the week. We consider the Temples to be the most holy places on earth, buildings specifically dedicated to God where special ordinances are performed (e.g. baptism for the dead and the sealing of families for eternity).

  • @gooieslee The places we normally meet at are called "Chapels" or "Meeting Houses". What many call a church. The Temples are sacred places where we perform sacred ordinances, sealings, Baptisms for the Dead and marriage sealings. Like in ancient times and through out the Bible, Temples were places of special worship, places of holiness and cleaniness.

  • How could anybody dislike this video?

  • I KNOW THAT THIS CHURCH IS TRUE. THE BOOK OF MORMON IS TRUE. TO GO THREW THE TEMPLE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFULL THING TO DO, YOU RECEIVE SO MANY BLESSINGS. I SAY THIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN.

  • @squirrley45 AMEN

  • Whenever I attend the temple, my marriage is strengthened, I find answers to questions about life, and my overall perspective is improved. I love to attend the temple with my wife. We were married in the Manti Temple almost 8 years ago. Each time we return to the temple together, we are reminded that God ordained marriage, our marriage, and that he expects us to work hard to make it as fulfilling as he intended. I'm grateful to see temples being built across the world.

  • @thetechnologyvault Matt6:33 Eph5:23 I learn allot in the temple about these scriptures:) Its such a beautiful thing to have the gospel of Christ and to be able to be sanctified and perfected with your eternal family unit:) It will take us more than this life time to love our wives as Christ loves the church:) The gospel light has opened my eyes and has helped me to see that I truly need to repent and change in these latter-days...Matt24:14

  • the church is TRUE! i love being MORMON!!!!!

  • A beautiful message, thank you.

  • Thank you for this beautiful message. I love the temples. They are a place where we can feel the spirit and be at peace.

  • I know that this church is true. The Book of Mormon is true.

  • @benpaul32 how do you know?

  • @sarissaki Prov2,3 Seek knowledge as hidden treasure and you can also know the truth Eph5:23 Matt6:33 seek not the vain things of this world... seek knowledge John17:3 The gospel of Christ has been restored once again in these latter-days and it is the power of God unto salvation to all those that believeth Rom1:16

  • Beautiful, thank you!

  • so mormonism is a differant way of practicing christianity?

  • @loosifur it's not different way...it's what the LOrd's revelation to a rophet named Joseph smith

  • @loosifur Yes and No..The gospel of Jesus Christ was pure and plain in th early church where he organized it and set it up..But through the years after all of the apostles were killed those truths were lost..what remained was a mixture of pagan beliefs and some of what Christ taught and set up..The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is simply the "restored" church that was set up. Through a modern prophet and revelation it now stands as his church on the earth today.

  • @loosifur no. its not.

  • @loosifur Haha. No, we are Christians. :D

  • @MorganRox5441 We can be slaves to our own ignorance...and that is just one reason why pride is not good. Prov2,3 Eph5:23

  • @loosifur Yes, in away, "The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it". Joseph Smith

  • @loosifur Eph5:23 There is only one church...beware of false teachings. The greatest thing about the message of the restoration of the gospel of Christ is that it is true. It is the knowledge of the truth that will set the world free. Im very happy that I believed enough to meet with the missionaries... Like Joseph Smith I also sought knowledge as hidden treasure and it was my testimony that set me free:) REv19:10

  • cool

  • there is no better place to visit than our temples to feel close to my Savior and to Heavenly Father. 1 Corinthians15 verse 29

  • Yes, The Apostle Paul was using a comparison, comparing our bodies to temples in order to teach us how sacred our bodies are, just like temples are sacred.

  • How beautiful Thy temples Lord.

  • The Temples are so beautiful, and you can just see that our Heavenly Father abides in them. I cannot wait to get sealed in one of the beautiful Temples.

  • aren't we suppose to be the temple of the lord?

  • Where are the differences between a church building of any christian denomination and a mormon temple? Except for the architecture I can't see a fundamental difference.

  • I love being LDS.

And i get alot of joy and happiness from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    GOD BLESS you all.

  • Thank Heaven for such wonderful messages on this site, to balance out all the trash, the Awful things that are posted here.

  • I love this!!! We are so blessed to have Eternal Families!

  • why arent there any crosses or religious symbols inside any of these temples???

  • @atmatk There are many religious symbols inside the Temples. While we hold sacred the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross it is a symbol of a dead Christ and we worship a resurrected living Christ.

  • @ArizonaDesertPiper The cross doesnt represent a dead Christ, but is a reminder of His sacrifice and love. When I think of the suffering He endured for me, I am amazed that He saved me despite of my sins. By His stripes we are healed. He is alive and I worship Him as such.

  • @atmatk There are many symbols inside and outside the temple. The ones on the outside can be seen in the architecture and on the doors. It is different with each temple where the symbols are located but they are all there. The ones on the inside we do not show pictures of because we hold them to be sacred.

We as LDS people do not wear crosses because "We simply view the resurrection of Christ, rather than His death, as the "good news" of the gospel." I hope this answered your questions!

  • @kaileysbaer Do you know what those symbols mean? Where they come from? who used them before?

  • @atmatk it's because we don't like to focus on the death of christ. We like to focus on how he was resurrected and that he is in heaven now. It was very important that he died for us, but he died to let us all go to heaven, and not focus on our death; to experience what's after that!

  • @atmatk we use our temples as a place where we can go and feel the spirit, we do not use crosses because we celebrate the life of christ, not his death. Jesus's death was an important part of his history but we feel that his life was even more so! The temple is an amazing place, but through the teachings of the book of mormon AND the holy bible, we can learn and prepare to become more like him :)

  • do mormons believe in post-humious baptism

  • I dont know why so many people hate on Mormons. I myself dont care for any religion but Mormons are harmless people who have their point of view and should be left to do so. I have had numerous conversations with them, you know the ones riding their bikes. Even thou I could care less about their religion, as human being all the Mormons I have encountered have always been kind and respectful...

  • I would take the Book of Mormon, of course, because it is another testament of Jesus Christ and most of the world already has the Bible.

  • The Temple is the Most HOLY PLACE on earth. I love the temple.

  • what does the meaning of the animals under the babtism pool,. ?

  • inspiring to hear from our Prophet

    The temple lifts us

    To where we can see

    The path of Jesus

    Bright and heavenly

  • Just as there were requirements in Ancient Temples...to enter and participate...there are requirements today in these Temples. Father in Heaven has order in the Kingdom. Read the Bible and see how important Temples were and the requirements that were in place then. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and tomorrow.

  • Well, if you are worthy...you have a "current temple reccomend" only the people who are temple worthy can enter this sacred house of the lord. therefore, if you would like to enter the temple, be baptized. and then you can have the blessings, and you can enter into this sacred place.

  • I have much respect for LDS, but still disagree w/ the concept that non-LDS cant go into the temple. An example was given, that a child couldnt go to college. True but he could attend a concert there. My nephew got married in a temple & neither parent could go into the ceremony. I respect my nephew & his beliefs, but I do not feel closer to God in ANY building, and I know Jesus would not refuse to dine with me or invite me in b/c I wasnt yet "ready, on the contrary, so I it seems "un" WWJD.

  • @SunstateUS All throughout the Old and New Testament, restrictions were placed on who could or could not enter the temple. The temple is not the same as having dinner with someone. If you do not feel closer to God in any building, maybe it is because you haven't been in a temple building.

  • @SunstateUS One thing that you must realize, is that it is not a concept, rather a commandment from God, that those who are to enter into his house are clean physically, and spiritually, and are abiding his laws within his church. I don't know you so I can't judge, but don't forget that Jesus once used a whip to empty the temple, and although that would seem very "un" WWJD, it did happen, because they were desecrating the temple. So also we believe that it must be kept absolutely pure.

  • @SunstateUS I understand. Keep in mind that being LDS is not enough to get inside. Even they must be living worthily to the Lord's commandments. When they do go, they perform sacred ceremonies and ordinances that require worthiness to participate in. You are more than welcome to learn more about the temples by attending a Visitor's Center on one of the temple grounds. Please understand that to LDS people, temples are the most sacred locations on earth and need to be treated with reverence.

  • @SunstateUS - I can appreciate your thoughts and perspective. I would remind us all though that even in the days of Christ there were only certain people who could enter the middle and center courts of the Temple - they had to be "worthy" by keeping themselves as unpsotted from the world as possible and by keeping the laws and covenants they had made. When that wasn't the case, then the person wasn't allowed in. It's the same today. If anyone wishes, they are invited to learn more. :)

  • @SunstateUS Anyone can attend the temple if they prepare. It's not an exclusive experience, but rather a sacred and spiritual one

  • @SunstateUS its not just the non-lds that cant enter the temple. even if you are lds, you need to have something called a temple recomend. it determines if you are worthy to enter the temple, because no unclean thing can enter ( sin or unclean thoughts). to get one, you need to talk to your bishop or stake president and set up an interview. in the interview, he will ask you questions about your morals and sins.

  • @SunstateUS Thats the difference between the secular and the sacred. I wouldn't dare mock or make light of another persons sacred religious places or practices. And if I was required to believe and convert before entering a building I wouldn't want to do that unless I knew...I KNEW.. I was ready and what the truth was.

  • @SunstateUS; The ordinances that are performed in the temple are very sacred things. However, your example of Christ denying you to dine with him seems misplaced. Dining with Christ may be quite the expeirience, but it is not extremely sacred. The truths taught in the temple are extremely sacred, and so those entering should be ready to appreciate the sacredness of those truths.

  • @SunstateUS I appreciate your comments. I am LDS and feel so grateful for the temple and I wasn't always LDS and wasn't when my sister was married and wasn't able to attend her sealing. After learning more about the beliefs and the sanctity of temples I can understand now why it is so important to be prepared to enter the temple.

  • @SunstateUS Another example might help you understand, an unworthy person cannot go to heaven right? LDS believe you must be worthy to go to the temple, because it is the closest place to heaven on earth. not even all LDS members can go to the temple, they are interviewed by a bishop to make sure they are worthy. and remember worthy is not to be confused with perfect

  • @SunstateUS I agree

  • @SunstateUS I understand exactly what you mean. I am a mormon convert and none of my family will be able to go to my sealing ceremony, but I look at it like this not even all mormons can go to a sealing ceremony unless they are endowed. This is one of thee most if not, the most sacred ordinance in the LDS church and therefore deserves the utmost respect. LDS's feel closer to god in the ttemole though because we belive it is the most holiest places on earth. Hope this helped:)

  • would you let something you hold dear to your heart be passed around and let anyone and everyone have their share? would you let your new born baby be held by a stranger? The Temple of the Lord is a sacred place which covenants are made by spiritually clean members of our church. It is true you have never felt closer to god in any buildings because the lords most spiritually clean house is in the Temple.

  • @SunstateUS you can go into the temple and feel his spirit just go to one of the open houses

  • Temples were not open to the general public. There are reasons, just as there were reasons anciently and it is a counsel from God. Everyone should understand that ALL are invited into sacred Temples, but each must properly prepare themselves to do so. I see it as steps that one must follow, and though the process is simple, one must properly abide by them before entering. A local Bishop will help you prepare. Temples are not secret but sacred. I pray this helps=]

  • I enjoyed your comment& respect your perspective. I hope you will understand that ALL are invited into these Holy Temples, but individuals must prepare themselves sufficiently before entering. A local Bishop or LDS missionaries can help you prepare. I like to see the process before entering Temples as steps that must be taken one at a time in preparation. But you will notice that it was the same anciently. The ancient Tabernacle & the Temple during Christ's ministry were not open to the public.

  • how i love the temple :D

  • like

  • @queenoveryou AMEN :)

  • @queenoveryou It really is the best thing. I was married two years ago, and now I have a one yr. old and am pregnant with baby #2. I love being a mom and I love knowing that we can be together forever. All of the sacrifices that you will make in your youth are a million percent worth it! By staying close to the Lord, you will find an amazing man who will provide for your family. Marriage is hard and at times, extremely frustrating, but it is so worth it. - Lauren, age 21 :)

  • @LaurStanford Cool. I'm 19 right now and might be doing a service mission soon and when I'm done I hope to find a woman that I can marry in the temple. I know God has someone for me. I can feel it. :)

  • As much as I despise religion; I respect the beautiful temples the LDS make.

  • I am so excited for the new one thats gong to be made in Rome, Italy and Pittsburgh, PA!

  • A question to mormons. If you have to take with you one book and one book only, and go all around the world and preach the gospel of Jesus-Christ, wich book will you take with you. The BOOK OF MORMONS OR the BIBLE.

  • @71gk Here is the point that makes your hypothetical question moot. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not based on the Bible (or the Book of Mormon), it is based on what the Bible is based on - revelation through prophets.

  • @71gk The Book of Mormon.

  • @71gk The answer is you can't do that. Both are testaments of Jesus Christ. To not take one is the same as to not take either since you will only carry part of the gospel with you. Please read Isa. 29 (whole chapter) and Rev 14. Those are prophecies of the Book of Mormon. If you want me to explain how just send me a message, a nice one.

  • @71gkThey would take the book of MORMON !

  • If a Mormon were to just take one book they wouldn't be teaching the fulness of the Gospel. To understand the gospel contained in the Bible, one must read it. Likewise, if someone is to understand the same gospel contained in Book of Mormon they must read it as well. The Book of Mormon and the Bible together give us a true understanding of what the Atonement of Christ is, and how we can apply it to ourselves and others. To answer your question plainly, no one can take just ONE book.

  • @71gk They are combined into one, so I would take all of them. We could well ask you, the Bible is made up of many separate books, so what one book would you take? There is a lot of Isaiah and even some New Testament scriptures found in the Book of Mormon; Christ teaches His Sermon on the Mount when He visits the Americas. Because of both books together, I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. Have you read the Book of Mormon?

  • @71gk Well it depends where I was going. A Good portion of the world already has The Bible. In Christian Nations many people have a pretty good concept of the Bible, So I would Take the Book of Mormon. But If one has no concept Jesus Christ and what He did While He lived on this Earth I would take The Bible. They Go hand in Hand.

  • @71gk There are a set of books that we call quads. It has combined a copy of The Book of Mormon and The King James version of The Bible so that they are one binding and one cover. So I can take both.

  • MrPougles- Visitors can go inside Mormon temples before they are dedicated. On lds.org it looks there are about 19 temples that are under contruction/ announced but not yet dedicated.

Karlito5757- The church has funding for both temples and for humanitarian relief.

  • @Freedome4all people who can't enter the temple aren't ready, that's why we get recomends. They wouldn't let you in college if you were a 10th grader.

  • @Karlito5757 who said it was wasted? It could go to those starving, but the storehouses of the church are for that... The temple is a place not of luxuary, but spirituality

  • wow that temple was beautiful, God the All-Glorious

  • way too much money invested. I don't think luxury should be the main focus when building a temple. The Vatican is perhaps the most luxurious "temple" in the whole world. Those millions and millions of dollars can go towards the millions and millions of dying children in Africa, India, or South America. Sure the church does help, but I doubt the aid equals the amount of money invested in temples.

  • @karlito5757

There is never "too much" for the Lord and His House. He deserves everything that we can offer Him including our money, time and as you put it our "luxury".

And yes, the LDS Church does provide substantial aid to the world to help stop suffering (show me who does more in yearly percentages, including the U.S. government), but on an eternal perspective, God is more interested in saving souls in His Temples.

  • @karlito5757 The reason the LDS temples are so luxurious is because they are literally the house of the lord. If you were building a house for the lord, you would make it as beautiful and perfect as you could. The church does put millions of dollars towards charities, but the ordinances that take place in the temple are saving ordinances, they are required for the highest degree of the celestial kingdom. The ordinances are the most important thing that takes place on the earth today. that's why.

  • @karlito5757 While the need is apparent we cannot forget the importance to giving all we can to the lord's house. That has always been the focus on building the temple.

  • @karlito5757

I disagree; the amount of fast offerings paid by members each month go direct, dollar for dollar (you cannot find any charitable organization that can make a similar claim as they all have salaries and overhead to cover) to help feed the needy and poor. These funds come from the members....all funds the church has comes from faithful tithe payers in the church and those funds are dispersed according to the needs of the church, including temple worship.

  • @karlito5757 The same idea put forth by Judas when Jesus was being anointed with expensive oil.

The LDS Church is always one of the first at disasters and one of the last to leave. And it does feed the many hungry around the world. I recommend you do a fact check before making such statements.

  • @karlito5757 We can pay for this by paying our tything. It dosen't all go to the temples though. It also goes out to those who absolutly need it. That is one of the reasons there is Deseret Industries, which ships out clothing, food, toys, ect. out to the families to te countries that you named off, plus a lot more.

  • Freedome4all1: The temple is a sacred and holy place where God dwells. No unclean thing can enter it. This is why the Mormons do not allow visitors to enter the House of God. Although, visitors are allowed to be on the temple's grounds and still enjoy the beauty and holyness it radiates.

  • My Problem with Mormon temples is that people who are not Mormon can only go into the temple for a short period after the completion of the temple. After the temple has been Blessed ONLY Mormons may go in and only if they recieve a "temple recommend".

  • @Freedome4all1,

Yes, and only Jews could go inside the temple when God commanded them to be built.

  • @Freedome4all1 well it is a sacred place to them. you wouldn't just pick a random house and go in without knocking and without have permission

  • @Freedome4all1

"Problem" because you can't enter the Temple?

Well, if you read the Book of Mormon, sincerely pray to God to find out if the Book of Mormon is true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet, receive a special Divine witness that this is indeed true and then exercise faith to be baptized into the Lord's Church.

Then as a member receive a Temple recommend and your problem is solved. :)

  • @Freedome4all1 The lord has always had conditions for his house. just standards of worthiness. nothing different from the simple sommandments asked of us all in the lds church.

  • @Freedome4all1 it is the same with most things tho... are you allowed in the presidents oval office..... are you allowed in the popes chambers? no? once the temple is blessed it is considered sacred and the LDS only want members that believe the same as they do to enter...

  • The vatican is beautiful to,or father bakers basilica.A catholic church serves the same purpose.I respect the mormons alot, they put alot of love in just as my church does.God bless them.

  • @rockandrollhunting I don't believe that. Baptisms for the dead, and the sealing of a man to his wife is a singular doctrine taught in this church. No disrespect of course.

  • @rockandrollhunting God bless you too. Much love my good friend.

  • @0d12m23 We don't necessarily hate the term "mormon." It was a nickname given to us because we believe in the Book of Mormon. We just want everyone to understand that we are Christians. By saying "mormon" or "lds" (latter-day saints), people get confused and don't believe that we are christian.

  • I felt God's presence and felt His power as people testified of his goodness and mercy and shared of their life's transformation and it was there that I gave my life to Jesus and experienced complete transformation and received clarity of who God is without all this confusion about tablets and South America....its just an observation I've made.

    Someone educate me.

  • This is so awesome. I felt such peace through this video :)

  • Thank you for this. very informative and spiritual

  • Even the Catholic priest believes in baptism for the dead from 1 Cor 15:29

  • Very well done and perfectly represented. I do look so forward to seeing my Saviour when I pass through to the other side or when He returns here. Jesus Christ is the Saviour of all mankind and all will recognize it when he comes again. He is my light and my life. Without Him my life would be so much less meaningful. He taught me the importance of family and its eternal nature.

  • i respect mormons and every other religion in this world, except satanism : p

    From your muslim brother;)

  • @Welle92

Thank-you....all the best to you too!

  • @Welle92 thanks you kind sir god bless

  • @Welle92 well said.

  • @Welle92 totally agreed. O_O of corse that's only because I'm mormon, but still.

  • Le Temple est un lieu où les familles sont scellées pour le Temps et pour toute l'Eternité. La famille est Eternelle.

  • beautiful message :')

  • This is a very clear explanation of Mormon Temples. Thank you.

  • when God's world rules the earth God bless you all guys the best ppl i have ever met

  • Los templos dan testimonio de la gradesa de Dios, testifica de Dios, y la restauración

  • i absolutely LOVE the temple and i want to get married in the Provo or Salt Lake temple one day. it is the house of the Lord.

  • It is the FIRST PRINCIPAL OF THE GOSPEL to know for certainty the character of God, to know that we may converse with Him as one man converses with another, and that he was once a man like us, yea that God Himself the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ did...Here then is eternal life—to know the only wise and true God, and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, the same as all Gods have done before you."

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp 346, 347.

  • I like your answer general. But I would like to say more about it. The Gospel is supposed to bring happiness to us. How can you have happiness when you have crosses all over the place? Reminding of Christ death. God wants us to be happy. What was the joy and happiness that came from the Atonement of Christ not his death but his resurrection or Christ overcoming death and sin.

  • I would love to learn more about all of this for my paper(I find many relgions intersting so plz comment)

  • @Jrhotstuff4u shure. I know it's been 11 months, but if it's not too late, then ask away. :)

  • Im not mormon im roman catholic and always will be but I do respect mormons. The way I see it it really doesnt matter where ones spiritual allegiance lies. Anybody who tries to do right in their life and help others is a good person and to me thats the pinnacle of excellence.

  • The Temples are beautiful

  • I LOVE our temples. Their beauty is profound and otherworldly. I think of beautiful music (enya, of course) when I view them. I KNOW that this is the true church.

When I was a small child, like two or three. I used to dream of going to titanic temples where I heard beautiful music. These dreams have always stuck with me and are a huge part of my personal testimony.

  • No sinner can enter Heaven(Rev21:27)Only people living holy lives can enter heaven, but being holy is impossible. The only way we live a holy life is by God's grace, through faith. We can only receive Gods grace if we are in right relationship with Him. Jesus death on the cross reconciled us to God. Now reconciled we can receive His grace through the Holy Spirit who changes our hearts of stone to hearts of flesh. With our hearts of flesh, we can live in holiness giving us access into Heaven

  • I think it is interesting that the Bible has been translated out of Latin into English, and the book of Mormon has been translated into over 100 languages EXCEPT Latin. btw I am LDS, just a point to throw. Hope to visit a temple soon :)

  • Actually, the original languages were Hebrew and some books in Aramaic (O.T.), and the N.T. was in Greek. While there are Latin versions of the Bible, it wasn't the original language.

  • I think the reason why it isn't translated into Latin is because it is a dead language. To spread the Gospel, we need to have the Book of Mormon understood in each tongue (but Latin is not spoken today). Just what I think :)

  • @gueropuro69 Remember that the purpose of translating the Book of Mormon (or any book for that matter) is to make it easier for more people to understand it. Latin is no longer an actively spoken/written language. Yes, there are scholars etc, who use it, but nowhere is it a national language, ie, no one speaks latin as their first language, so why translate into a language no one speaks?

  • @gueropuro69 Probably the same reason they don't use Sumerian or Mayan... tis' a dead language.

  • go Odin.

  • I got to visit a Mormon Temple recently in my role as a council inspector. It was absolutely beautiful inside and out, fit for a king! Although I notice that they don't feature crucifixes like other Christian denominations.

  • I got to go inside a Mormon Temple recently with my job as a council inspector. It was certainly fit for a king, very clean and peaceful. Although I notice they don't feature crucifixes anywhere, like other Christian denominations.
