  • Nice save there by you and the Elise! Not sure if you noticed, he tapped his brakes right before he goes off and that threw his tail out.

  • You're both good drivers. It is REALLY hard for an inexperienced driver to save a mid-engined vehicle from oversteer without the car whipping violently around the other way after correction - the driver of the Elise seemed to show a lot of experience there. Of course I've never actually driven an Elise around a track, but I've had my fair share of track time in mid-engined vehicles. Kudos to you both.

  • you did some great driving there, is your miata modded? And although the guy did lose it, that was a good (if dramatic) save.

  • @eskimo810

Yeah its got a few mods. JR supercharger and some other stuff. :-)

  • I've spun out in my Elise before, it happens too fast to get scared. I shifted too late going into a turn. I love my Lotus!

  • Nice save indeed !

  • HU HU

  • Nice save

  • I'm liking the videos dude! You're a good driver, no doubt about that!

To be fair to the Elise driver, he done pretty well to keep himself on the track at the end!

  • Eh.. not a very good demonstration of Miata vs Elise. The guy in the Elise had sloppy lines, braked too early, and liked to yank the wheel rather than smoothly work with the car to maintain balance.

  • I LOVE HEARING THE WIND.

  • I think you are being modest in your evaluation of the Elise against your car.

If you were in front, you are running faster lap times, especially after he stops for a picnic.

  • lol, i love how people just write off the miata because it is a "chick car", and yet this video shows it can hang with a lotus, one of the most respected true sports cars there are. nice vid.

  • nice driving. nice recovery.

  • i have a 02 mr2 spyder i am new to the imports i recently had a ls1 camaro and a firebird ws6 and at high speed they felt and did fine anything over 100 in my mr2 it feels like its going to get blown off thr road when a oncoming car passes i understand their is no weight in the front but still a sports car should feel and handle like 1 also at 80 mph im turning 4,200 rpm do they make a 6spd that is a dirrect bolt in ?

  • @duiracing82

I'm not even sure I should dignify this with a response. Where oh where do I begin? First of all, I have a Miata, not an MR2. I haven't the first clue what options are available for your car or how they are supposed to feel. Secondly, why are you asking these questions on youtube? There is this great thing called Google you can use. Lastly, spell check and putting more than one punctuation mark in your comment. My head is still hurting from reading your post....

  • @jberry813

    lol punctuation on youtube Hilarious

learn how not to have a stick up your anus. the guy probably did not read what car you have. or maybe he was just asking since they are both tinny cars? don't be such an ass hole =)

  • @jberry813 shall i buy a miata?

  • @beechface1 No

  • @MoePower2 why?

  • @beechface1 I dont think you should ask others about buying something or not, that is completely up to you. If you like MX5/Miata you should buy one. They are great, I have one myself and Im probably going to have it for a long time still.. :)

  • @duiracing82 youre just used to shitty american cars. Learn to drive a mid engined car correctly and you'll see it's way quicker on its feet.

  • @JD0x0 haha yep my 67 camaro with a 427 and 4spd settin in my carport is a real american piece of shit --- i know its not numbers matching but hey it is what it is

  • haha, nice recovery by that elise

  • Wahoooo! Oh SH*T.....Wahooooo!
