  • lol pause at 00:34

  • Thanks to you, I've added beautiful blues riff to our alternative band. (Don't ask) But instead of mindless repeating pentatonic solos, (I enjoy those though xD) I've got full blues filled thoughtful riffs. Thanks again!

  • Hey Dave, I know you have worked with Ibanez a bunch and I want to ask you.....What do you think about the S series of guitars?(I'm thinking about getting one)

  • I really like the S series. Very comfortable guitars. A good alternative if you don't want the "rock" looking RG series.

  • dave, its nice to meet you, at least by youtube.

You are a huge influence to me.

Your vids are awesome!!! keep that cool work!

    MARIANO

  • Dave, one question...why use those notes that travels a few frets up and down rather than the typical boxed patterns? thx much Dave for ur weekly 'biblical guitar' sharing with us :)

  • because you should never want to play typically.

  • Cool Video!!

  • I think it'd be cool to get some ROTWs of less common (not saying this is common, don't get me wrong!) things like licks with the Japanese pentatonic scale--or more middle eastern sounding riffs to throw into our playing.

    As always, thanks Dave!

  • When iTunes went to auto download this video, I got last weeks again! Any idea how that happened?

  • should be fixed now.

  • dave you can always build up an awesome groove. i can usually make a cool riff up, but i can never do anything with it.

  • Now that was a cool riff.

Hey Dave, where'd all your gear go? Even your table is gone!

  • Moved some things to a different part of the house for acoustic recording.

  • Thanks Dave, Awesome, I can't wait to try this one out..

  • i guess just watching these isnt going to help me play any better huh

  • Good stuff.

  • great lesson Dave, i love this whole riff of the week concept, it is very very useful and always gives me inspiration and a different view from a different angle and gets me "out of the box" of the everyday practicing

  • Thanks.

  • yeyah, im the first one to watch this video :D

by the way, how did you start your music career dave ?

  • Yay! First view! Nice ROTW, as usual!
