While performing a hammer-head turnaround, the arch on the bottom will always be lower than on the first pass. The contact he made with the ground was not intentional. Acrobatic flying in a non-acrobatic rated aircraft? Illegal. With passengers? Illegal. That guy was an idiot and should get his license yanked permanently (and yes, I'm a helicopter pilot).
