Kids killing themselves... To say that happens pretty often, and blame it on video games is pretty biased and uninformed... The majority of kids that play games are going to be say at least upper-middle class... The majority of kids that are getting involved in violence, often live in poverty, and form gangs and such... So how do these kids afford video games, and then find the time to play them... I'm sure kids that are involved in such things would be ridiculed for playing games.

Nope, but perhaps you are, that part was a joke. If a kid is going to be convinced that killing someone is ok, by a video game, then its not the video games fault. The kid obviously has a mental condition, and the parents should be doing something about that. You'd would have to be really stupid to think that the stuff happening in video games was what happened in the real world.

That concept has been debunked many times. Movies are far more likely to encourage violent actions then games, because there is a stronger association with the characters. Ever been glad at the end of an action movie when the bad guy gets it? Do you think that makes you dangerous, because essentially you just cheered on murder? Hopefully not, because it's fiction. So you're saying that computer games are to blame for the violent acts today. Oh dear. Those poor computer game playing individuals get picked on by everybody. Including the violent yobs who then go on to beat people up and steal stuff. Yes, that's right. Every 'computer game user' I know is calm, nice and tends to avoid fights. Of course, people are too scared to confront those people. They'd rather blame the problems on somebody who isn't violent and can't stand up for themselves. Remember Jack the Ripper? They arrested somebody for it just to say that he was brought to justice. It was unlikely it was even him. People just love a scapegoat and unfortunately, that means that the nasty pieces of work in life tend to get away with it since people are too intimidated to stand up to them.
