  • God i hate cathy

  • Is this the start of the tv production? I dont remember the story starting this way but its been a long time

  • They totally ruined the magic of the book. The only thing I like is the relationship shown between young Catherine and Hareton :)

  • I personally hate this version (they super sexed up Heathcliff and Cathy's relationship which I just found unnecessary and drawing away from the spiritual, other wordly love in the book) but I really like how they delivered with the second generation. Thanks for posting.

  • Brilliant TV film this is, my fav movie of 09 and by far the best recent adaption of the book. Tom Hardy is a quality actor, very pleased he's gone on to have a successful career.

  • Tom Hardy is such a hot creeper. I would get into his van.

  • Tom Hardy is a hot creeper. I would get in his van, regardless of the lack of candy.

  • i wish they did have this actress show Cathy's evil side more though...

  • Thank you for the video! BTW my name is Piper :-)

  • y do u people keep calling this a movie its a bloodie TV adaption! A screen adaption will never be as good as the novel because it is someone else's interpretation not your own! I actually really like this adaption the one with ralph fiennes was a joke! the only thing is the beginning is stupid and they could of made the moors look more gloomy and haunting!

  • Why does she remind me of Gollum?

  • Am I the only person who feels sorry for Cathy??

  • @SuperMerryhappy think so :P

  • @SuperMerryhappy No..i feel sorry for her as well..

  • i think i know where catherine lost her virginity? XD tom hardy is scrumptious

  • Ok .... For this version you MUST read the book. Because you are definitely missing the emotion that the book gives you and further more.... it lives you with questions in the beginning of the movie!!! If you have NOT read or seen previous versions!!

  • lmao i cant take edgar seriously.Walking Dead= how the world views him

  • @Ganorminor Hard to believe that before this he was in 'Love Actually'... and now he's Rick Grimes...

  • I actually like this version :)

  • Tom hardy is an incredible actor. Outstanding.

  • The way he says "But I know YOU Catherine" makes me want to scream "DON'T GET ON THAT HORSE!"

  • bane voice... 6:20 ?

  • @ColtSegura 03.35 sounds closer

  • Shockingly bad, as a annually reader of the book, this is a pathetic attempt at bringing a fantastic book to the screen. Terrible, absolutely terrible. I have yet to see a proper movie on the book, no movie has yet captured this fantastic novel and this is one of the worst I have seen.

  • @Casonferal1 I agree

  • this movie is horrible compared to the novel. What was that nonsense in the beginning? and why did it start with Linton and Edgar?

  • @freekLYNNxD I do not think it's horrible.. It's like every good Novel when they put out it on screen it is never close to what we feel reading the the book .. But I still get chill's in some part's.

  • wow these floorboards are gorg

  • wait, wasn't Linton (son of Heathcliff) 12 years old when he came to love with him???

  • @Dsuperman102 The name doesn't matter too much I don't think, but there was a distinct and purposeful reason why Catherine's daughter was Cathy, and so in the book the name had more significance.

  • Thank you for uploading the whole of this version of Wuthering Heights. Brilliant.

  • ??? where is lockwood ?? why its just flashback in the first part ???

  • portuguese please.

  • I first read WH as a very young mother, and it upset me greatly. Anybody stupid enough to think it a "love story" hasn't cracked page 1. It's unsettling, unnerving, troubling, pagan, wicked, startlingly true, tragic, thunderous and magestic. But a "love story" only as Linton compares to Heathcliff. Emily Brontë wrote "No Coward Soul Is Mine", and how right she was--to her, that Heathcliff and Cathy aren't together is a sin, the only sin. "No trembler on the storm-toss'd sphere...".

  • @marginallymental first off since when is being pagan a bad thing? Second, maybe she was looking at it as, even though Heathcliff and Cathy are not good people (no one can deny that), they are redeemed in a way by their love for each other.

  • @nerdypreppyemo.... huh?? I mean "pagan" in the academic sense. Cath and Heath's behavior certainly struck Victorians as chilling, and at cross purposes with all they held dear (which many now consider disingenuous of them, to say the least). I've always thought of K and H as "pre-moral", like Greek gods thundering in the sky. And honestly, I don't consider them "redeemed" by their love whatsoever. I think K and H would scoff at the notion. They're beyond even the NEED for redemption. JMO.

  • @marginallymental Sorry I didn't get what you meant by pagan, sometimes I need to be hit over the head with things. But that is a very interesting idea, although I don't know if such a thing as pre-moral even exists, yes, morality is developed, but doesn't everyone have some basic sort of morality. You are right though, they would scoff at redemption, but is it you who decides you are redeemed or others? It does at least seem to send a message that all are capable of love or is that just me...

  • Good movie, not as true to the book as I'd like but was still good. I don't know how but in this movie they made the characters look like better people than they actually are.

  • TOM HARDY AS HEATHCLIFF I HAVE DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN!

  • How come it skipped to Volume 2 of the book??

  • The Book if far more sinister then romantic. In my opinion.

  • Everytime he kisses that cross eyed homewrecker I want to gag! Bah! Why leave the lovely Rachel Speed for an ugly version of her? (They could be twins!) Charlotte Riley looks like such a bore!

  • tom hardy is such an amazing actor

  • every single adaptation is a failure. i give up on watching wuthering heights

  • How very awesome that you put this up!! I think this is absolutely the best version to date!!

  • I don't understand why did Edgar call Catherine Linton (2 Generation) Cathy, and Catherine Linton (1 Generation) "Cathy". I mean it's written in the book that only Heathcliff calls Catherine (1 Generation) "Cathy", and that Edgar always calls her "Catherine", when he calls his daughter "Cathy". So why did they change it ? O_o

  • @SweetMiragee Catherine/Cathy. Does it really make a difference?

  • @SweetMiragee cuz its hollywood :p

  • I've had to stop after this part - I really want to finish the whole series, but I just have to read the book first! If I know what happens at the end without reading the book, I'll never get around to doing it which will be a genuine crime!

  • This makes me pretty excited to see the rest. Hareton is adorable :)

  • The movie haunts me as Cathy did Heathcliff!

  • I really cried a lot during watching the movie

  • omg i love this book

  • it really annoys me how young catherine seems whiny and selfish when she shouldnt be at all

  • @mazza20007 Have you actually read the book? She certainly is whiny and selfish in there!

  • really good :)

  • Please could you post all over the movie again, but with an English subtitles, because I would like to translate to Portuguese, but do not hold what they say, at least if you're writing, I manage with the help of Google ! THANK YOU!

  • @SusanGaldino You can click on the litte cc button and you can view with subtitles in Portuguese. Hope that helps!

  • @PeachSiki oh! my gosh! TKS.. SOOOOO MUCH!

  • i absolutly love this movie :D i havent watched it snce it came out in 2009 xD happy to watch it again xD
