  • @Ninetailedpimp you can't be serious with your question right? clearly it is not the boxer's guys channel.. it is expert village's channel and they host a LARGE amount of diff types of educational videos for any purpose you may want genius!!! you think that guy would be living in that crappy home if he had 2billion viewers?? he'd be smoking cigars with 1000 dollar bills.. youtube would be all over his jock!!

  • @KillYoFam97 Its iight man... the economy got everyone going nuts.

  • @KillYoFam97 WRONG... Anything goes in a BITCH fight. Real men fight with their hands. Bitches need weapons.

  • i wish you were here to teach my son how to fight. he never wants to go to school because people make fun of the way he fights and because he gets beat up if he would ever try, so runs away from his fights

  • @sheliene12 You could always get some gloves and teach him. I started boxing when I was like 10 and that's how it started for me. Dad and I would get some gloves on and work some combos/defenses. It was really fun and it still is

  • XD I think that the most people here know peek-a-boo style from Ippo:P

  • ??? i am right handed wich foot do i use left or right

  • @janeko50, If you're right handed, you left foot must be in the front and the right foot in the back.

  • what if you knew both styles?i know both.boxing(stay away or get knocked out, karate, stay away or get knocked out)

  • wad if the guy punches ur balls?

  • @DeathDefied69 then 1.hes a bitch. 2. you have the right to take out any fighting weapon available. or 3. completely maul him

    haha

  • if Its a fuckin street fight, anything goes. Including nut shots. And you should use any fighting weapon you have available at the very start and end it.

  • Then he's a noob.

  • hey i just got into boxing n cage fighting etc. i dont really know much about it though i did do tae kwon do for 6 years, but i forgot most of that. can you give me tips on boxing?

  • all i have to say is never stand up and fight a boxer toe to toe

  • shoulders up chin down

  • uve a vid of me shadow boxin if any1 wants to watch it. . . im 13

  • if you put a martial arts fighter in with a boxer in a strictley boxing bout the martial arts guy would get hammered SIMPLE!

same goes for if a boxer trys fighting martial arts he would get knocked out...

as far as a fight on the street goes they normally end on the floor so mixed martial arts is the prefered street skill.

but dont doubt boxers if there good because if they are good anough they will be stood where there oppenent will bw asleep!

no fighting style is best they are all good:)

  • yea but the point is boxng rules arent the more realistic, i love boxing but, in all reality winning in an mma fight is almost like winning in a real fight, in an MMA fight its the ultimate testing ground for different style including boxing

  • @Brightgreenweed eh ... since leaving primary school I have never seen a fight go to the ground.

  • stupid :P and where is your neck you boxers if you got hit on it you re out :D it is one of the most injurable spots

  • that's why you're hands are up

  • but if you are punching u dont cover your head and your neck but if you ve got your neck hidden with sholders than it is harder to be knocked :)

  • If yo knew anything about boxing you'd know that rabbit punching is illegal. By that I mean, punching the neck.

  • but one thing who ever told that I am only about the boxing :D I dont like box cause you use only punch I like everything mixed up and there you can hit neck to :D and if you re only boxer you ll go down :D

  • LoL most martial arts that mix it up fail so badly at punching it can easily be taken advantage of.

This neck is covered, (assuming his opponent is standing in front of him that is) Also this is merely the boxing stance, not a full video on all defensive options.

When you punch your twist your arm a little bringing up your shoulder up to defend like you mentioned before he explains that in other video's.

  • yeah but if you re only boxer than you can take little advantage of your punching but if he uses kicks knees elbow and other things he got much more advantages

  • true and if you practice MMA you can. Then again boxing is also part of MMA so comparing those two is a little odd.

Other martial arts often have very poor punching techniques or deference against it. So its easy to take advantage of that even if the other person is using kicks or elbows. But it mainly depends on the skill of the user.

Now i'm assuming your not talking about "street fighting" coz that shit is just crap

  • yes it mainly depends of user you can learn the best mix you can have the best masters in the world but if the user is shit and doesnt trains good and doesnt have the heart he wont be good :) but I dont want to tell that good trainer is no neccesary and good martial art cause I hate martial art wich are like freestyle only fo demonstration :D

  • most martial arts are used for demonstration purposes, how ever there still more effective then street fighting. Boxing is one of the more effective ones.

  • not everyone it is how good is your trainer and what you are training for example my trainer never teaches us something for demonstration everything is to teach us how to fight in match or on street and it is everything

  • yeah ok now i know what you mean you mean like that jumping around punching air stuff lol ok yeah that sucks. its not even martial arts more like cheerleading

  • yeah my words :) :D I dont like those guys :D, I really like only a few thing and I use only straights the most , hooks uppercuts elbows knees and side kicks mygari mawashi gary and it is almost everything :D and chokes groundplay and it is really great if you could combine them well and one thing sidesteps one of the most lethal thing in fights :)

  • i would like to see mohamed ali (cassius clay) or mike tyson, take on anderson silva in a street fight. or other mma pros with boxing pros.

  • @taylorhg mike tyson punching anderson silva in the jaw will fucking kill him. Silva wouldnt be man enough to even get close to tyson before tyson knocks his fucking brains out. Yeah good luck trying to take tyson to the fucking ground. You idiot boxers are way quicker and much more powerful with their hands. haha

  • @FortMinorsBiggestFan someone obviously knows nothing about fighting.

  • @taylorhg apparently someone thats from america does. Fucking idiot, you cant go from point a to point d.

  • thx i didnt know what rabbit punching is but what is squirrel punching now :D

  • dude is pretty awesome. thanks.

  • peekaboo style is the best ever

  • yeah but hard to get proper timing but if you master it you are amazing

  • @cafo for short people

  • @cafo i like peekachuu style better, feels like i'm lightning when i fight

  • @Mr0Beast peekaboo is a real style though

  • thanks for showing me wat peek-a-boo style is!

    TALKING TO DIGIDRAGO,

  • who the hell has a problem about me and futton9 being portuguese?

  • peek-a-boo style is my favorite

  • me too

  • that makes us 3

  • your portuguese? i am

  • sim sou portugues

  • now its 4

  • sorry please help to tell me what means of peek-a-boo??, i am an biginer.

  • Peek-a-Boo is a boxing style where the hands are placed in front of the boxer's face. It offers extra protection to the face and makes it easier to jab the opponent's face.Peek a boo boxing utilizes relaxed hands with the forearms in front of the face and the fist at nose-eye level, as opposed to the orthodox style where the hands are at chin level with the left hand slightly in front of the chin and the right hand next to the chin. The style allows swift neck movements as well quick duckings

  • WIKIPEDIA .. HEY

  • and I think its the style that Mike Tyson used

  • TKS

  • SO what?

  • Umm... Or not.

  • Muhammad Alii!!

  • thanks!

  • nice vid. he knows a lot about boxing

  • ur jab hand should NOT always cover ur face...if u are a boxer who moves and is slick u tuck ur chin in ur shoulder and L the jab out so u don't have to have it coming all the way from ur chin...esp from outside..when u r infighting u keep ur hands tight since u won't be using ur jab...just a thought ...be safe

  • is it bad to be a southpaw?

  • No it gives you an edge. Boxers are mostly orthodox so they are used to fighting against orthodox opponents. Fighting a southpaw throws them off.

  • @TripleNipple3 you have the best username ever,,

  • @TripleNipple3 Both have their advantages, southpaw is vulnerable to right cross so...

  • @wasasa666 nooo not if in correct stance i step out on there left foot with my right in my boxing stance so when he throws right ill hit him with my left which is going past his right an "POP" #OUCH ) =

  • @TripleNipple3 what's a southpaw

  • @shawn963741 where your right foot is in front and left foot is in back. meaning your left handed.

  • @shawn963741

Southpaw is a boxing term that designates the stance where the boxer has his right hand and right foot forward, leading with right jabs, and following with a left cross right hook. Southpaw is the normal stance for a left-handed boxer. The corresponding designation for a right-handed boxer is orthodox, and is generally a mirror-image of the southpaw stance.

  • @Leendoncasti i can't believe u got that from wikipedia.lol. i just happen to find that on there.

  • @TripleNipple3 like pacman? lol

  • @TripleNipple3 I'm southpaw

  • man those are some batman ears ...anyway nice video

  • I do kickboxing and I much prefer standing with a more square on stance, is that a bad thing? I feel it suits me because I like to throw looping punches and hooks. Plus I can bring kicks round more quickly. But I get hit a lot more.

  • Brisks, only you can answer that question. This is more of a one-size-fits-all stance. Everyone has their own stance. Whatever suits your fighting style. If you like to fire with both guns and throw lots of hooks a square stance is better, but your kicks and straight right loose power, but your hooks get power. An off-square stance like mine let's me move quickly, and gives me alot of extra power in my straight right, but someone limits my left and right hooks.

  • kickboxing stances differ because of the defensive front thrust kick. but as for punches you'll find a sqaure stance to telegraph more openly which side you're punch'n with. it also may shortn your punching distance based on your advance tactics.

  • get 18 ounce gloves. it wont hurt that much.

  • does anybody know what ounce boxing gloves i should get im just boxing with my friends for fun not serious or anything

  • very helpful, thanks

  • thats the correct stance fo boxer hands always covering your face mostly all boxer have their front hand at like their shoulder or chest

  • I love boxing! is my number favortie thing to do I hope to be champion boxer oneday and this guys videos helps me alot I wish this guy could train me he seems like a good boxer and trainer

  • Stance too low and wide looks more like some karate stuff. Don't forget to turn a bit your left foot inward to get better chances going back and forward.

  • I as well as several other people I know have the exact back pain situation and it is 99% not muscle tightness. It is 99% a compacted disc, that stretching will do nothing for. Watch who you get medical advice from on here.

  • u are best..hope u can be a coach of mine and train me to be the best..

  • This is the most basic stuff in boxing. Got everything right here.

  • yo it to expert village i really need ur advice i boxed for almost one year got bussy so had to leave it wat happened like 5 yrs ago i had strained ma lower back hard up til now it hurts somtimes if u think i do dead lifts and other back exercise can i join boxing again cus i want to box again so bad

  • hey buddy the very same thing happened to me.extremely frustrating.i know i won't be able to return.ive found other things to do.

  • See my comments above. I'm a doctor of exercise science, and this has remedied most of the people I've treated.

  • Do not try such exercises. If you've hurt your back at one time, it healed, and it still hurts, its 99% likely to be muscle tightness. That happens a lot with healed injuries, and they'll stay tight until you do some major stretching. Start by warming up with a 10 to 20 minute jog, then ease into your stretching. Do this 2 or 3 times a day. If its sore the next few days, wait until the soreness has subsided before trying again. Otherwise, practice every other day.

  • yeah the exirsizes won't help its probably because of muscle tightness you need to warm up and stretch before each workout

  • No, you don't drop your hands to protect your stomach. You just 'close' your elbows, hands stay the same height. Also, you can parry a punch to the stomach by doing a circular movement with your arm, catching the punching hand with your hand. (e.a. your left hand will circle toward your right shoulder, that direction)

  • good video, but im confused... what do you do if someone throws a punch towards your stomach...how do u block it from that stance, because your hands are on your face, anyone know??

  • use your elbows or step back out of range

  • Yeah but if you use your elbows, your hands will come of your face which would leave you open to a punch in the face. Right?

  • boxing schools are mad at you, lol.

  • SO true !

  • thanks sooo much for the tips...keep doing this...we apreciate it even tho some assholes dont....

  • i think its just diff style. I keep my forward foot at an angle for balance and to pivot for jabs. i may be wrong though.

  • shouldn't his left foot point straight forward...? when I started my coach always corrected me if I put my left foot (or both feet) at an angle

  • you can learn completely from videos but u probebly wont have time to do the tricks becuz u will be to busy watching vids and probebly not have time to do the workout

  • You can learn to box from youtube you just wont be very good. I think these videos are great for begginers so they can get really intrested. Cuz most people don't want to stat in a gym cuz they are intimidated. I think videos like this will give them basics and more importantly confidence to go to the next lvl.

  • thanks for the tips

  • You guys are awesome. God Bless.

  • Bishop, You can't learn how to box from youtube.. Lol

  • Thanks. It's cheaper for me to learn with videos jaja.
