  • THE BEST ONE SO FAR!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing.

  • nice rick

wish i could aford one. jet glow or midnight blue??

what would be the closest comparison as far os the way it plays?

  • i love how you get right into it just like geddy!

  • You sounded great man, & I just lvoe the tone that a Rickenbacker gives. It's jsut soo unique. Anyways, you did a great job, my ahts off to you.

  • nice work!!! song brings baxk some great memories. my old band won the battle of the bands back in 84 and i'll never forget we killed the crowd with 2112 i ha my 1961 fender precision with ampeg svt 2 cabs 16 10" woofers Geddy was always a favorite as well as steve harris of mine. keep up the great work...

  • Brilliant work! Hey, if you ever have some time for it, I say you go for the whole song! I love 2112 ^_^

  • haha this is the craziest song ever

  • you are phenomenal!!! You are my master!!! I am learning "Overture" thanks to your video...yessss

  • Woww!

    You dance like God

  • i... fucking... LOVE YOU!!!

  • Oh my god this is awesome

  • Yes! feel the music! bounce everywhere if you have to! lol thats what i do.

  • rickenbacker!!!!!

  • YES! Great work

  • your playing your own version of it because getty lee plays it different by alot.

  • Geddy. Not Getty.

  • Sounds pretty good to me...

  • crazy, demential, RUSH is my favorite band, i play bass too, but.......i`m cry...

  • holly shit!! amazing....

  • Nice lookin' bass you got yourself.

  • is Geddy's ricky a 4003 or a 4001?

  • 4001 i believe

  • actually it was a 4001 from 1975-1976, a rickenbacker 4080 in 1977 and from 1978-1982 he used a 4001 and a j bass

(4003 didnt come out till the 80's)

but he owns several rickis he even has a ricki 4000

  • and he even ownd a rickenbacker 3001 i believe too

  • Sweet shit!

  • good bass playing

i can play it on guitar

  • I love your playing man. You handle that bass as if it was your own design, just the way Geddy did. Hey do you do requests because I think it would be awsome for you to do Cygnus X-1 from A Farewell to Kings.

  • In my opinion that was a home run. You seemed to lack a little emotion on "barchetta". But not here! You were on top all the way. GREAT!!! PS: please let me know when you plan to be away from home so that I can sneak into your house and play that BEAUTIFUL bass!

  • u are great god that is one kick ass bass

  • Dude. Nailed it.

It's kinda hard to stand still, aint it. That's definately one of those "Everybody jump up and down" songs.

    Pretty git-fiddle too.

  • damn bro, rock it out, im sure your makin some serious bass faces, right?

  • nice. im still tryin to get that song right.

  • it would be cool to see yyz on that thing. nice job

  • hehe i like seeing the head cut off, it gives the impression that the neck just keeps going... (i like longer basses and more frets =D)

  • yea, but you would get some serious fret buzz on the lower end :P I would like to see someone design a bass with 35 frets or something crazy like that. lol maybe not...

  • Nice RIC...I still like my Gibson SG Bass ... You play very well...check out my VID and my Gibson!

  • mmm that is one tasty ass bass... i'm going to have to learn this song now. Great playing too :)

  • yeah. thnx o and *shectars lol

  • Your playing is brilliant! Love the Ric sound on the tunes and look forward to future videos. Only one suggestion, pull the camera out for a wider angle so you don't cut off your head. I, always feel a little strange watching decapitated bass players! :-)

  • Thanks! Would it be better if we played Steinbergers? :-)

  • @fcbv can this bass play punk glam thrash rock metal and blues or is there a specific genre its best for

  • @fcbv can this bass play punk glam thrash rock metal and blues or is there a specific genre its best for

  • @apacolypseday I think most people would say it is best for rock. I only play rock myself so that is my experience. I believe a bass like the Fender Jazz is more flexible but it's all subjective.

  • @fcbv oh ok thanks dude

  • nice man. i wanted your bass for so long. especially after i started to listen to rush. then i realized its a little pricy for a 15 yr old so now im lookin at shectors. ive played a few and they sound great. ne suggestions on what bass to get?

  • I'd try a Fender Standard Jazz Bass maybe. The most important thing is to try it out at the store if you can.

  • @fcbv yeah get a cheap one first u never know if you wont like it but if your willing to pay close to 1000 dollars then yeah get a fender p bass but i am also 15 and started with a 150$ used bass so i can get better then i will get a better one

  • You should try the Geddy Lee signature bass, plays like a dream, the neck is really thin, sometimes it seems thinnger than my epi les paul!

  • awsome video... your are a great bassist with a great setup. i should be getting the same ric shortly, even same color >_<. i would love to see temple of syrinx, thats my favorite part of 2112. keep the videos coming they are very helpful at mastering geddy's style.

  • Awesome song! This is my favorite song by Rush and you played it so good. You should be in a band or something. :P

  • Thanks!
