  • I wanna do that when i join the marines what is their mos

  • @jonade123 That was my job in the Corps before I went EOD they are 1371 Combat Engineers.

  • Did anybody else find it troubling when he said, "They find an IED, then technicians go and investigate."?....Sucks to be those technicians.

  • @jt4307 trust me, as a 12B it does suck but its all in the job.

  • @treyphan19 No kidding, I'm an 88M...but I'm proud to do the job. Thank you for what you do!

  • @jt4307 Those technicians are called EOD techs. Just so you know.

  • the best way to avoid an ied is to leave the shitty country...

if you can't find the guy in 10 years...you ain't gonna find him in the next 10...

if you can't beat the taliban in 10 years...you ain't gonna beat them period!

  • @SpeakingMyMind7 buddy gets what just happened XD

  • what are the called? Are they engineers?

  • @branjumba EOD

  • @branjumba Yes, Combat Engineers

  • i cant believe how ignorant some of u are, u havent been there you honestly have no clue what we are doing there you just sit at home in your lazy boy chairs watching the news, and all of a sudden you feel that u can give an intellegent response to situations like this. come on now, we are there to keep those who wish to harm the US from reaching full strength. and attacking our country again. im not a marine but I am an Army 12B show respect to those who serve u, u need us more than u know.

  • @bakkila2007 let me correct your grammer here. but you are right.

I can't believe how ignorant some of you are, you haven't been there. You honestly have no clue what we are doing there. You just sit at home in your lazy boy chairs watching the news, and all of a sudden you feel that you can give an intellegent response to situations like this. Come on now, we are there to keep those who wish to harm oour country from reaching full strength and attacking our coutry again. BLESS U.

  • @nosupa Thank-you I was just a little flustered to worry about punctuation.

  • @bakkila2007 thank you too. peace.

  • Huskys dont find them alot of the time i was in a RCP as lead gunner and i have been blown up 3 times. RCP49 ALL THE WAY.

  • That was alot of Opium they passed

  • thats awesome i just came from that area! and drove on 605, thats probably blood hound in this video

  • Its a good thing they do this its saving alot of lives.

  • @Antonio865 agreed

  • Helmand Province is totally god-forsaken. Why the local people chose to live there is beyond me. Its like walking around in a dusty hot clothes dryer.

Its just dust and rock. Like the moon but with an atmosphere.

  • @wrangleren fuck off, and die

  • Fuck the marines, I hope they all die

  • @hitman7112 wtf fuck u. u must be a sand nigger towel head fuck. i hope you die. ur a fuckin pussy they are out there getting them selfs killed for u. and im saying this as a future marine, fuck you i hope u die.

  • @hitman7112 : Fuck yourself hit I may be a dumb soldier but I still respect and honor my marine brothers and sisters.. go play in a minefield

  • marines will nvr die u fuckn bitch

  • shit, then why don't we always have huskies in front of the convoy?

  • scater bugs a machine that runs in fronth of our troops that would find the IED and they would take the hit not our men. remote controled cars can be used to go before our men, and do the same thing. but if the familys of our men and women do not demand this to be used they will not put out the money to do this, to keep them save.

  • why are there so many trucks?

  • Want to learn how to boot people offling??

    go here!

    watch?v=iZfmQIqObgY

  • I wonder If I'd be able to use those vehicles when I'm in Motor T.

  • @z2ato yep. I'm Mo T in the Army, it all depends on how experienced you are and which vehicles you qualify on. Just ask your Master Driver NCO to qualify on it.

  • What so funny is China is paying for all these fancy toys. They should make the vol army send animals like in war II very effective. Rediculus that my taxes are paying for this poop oh thats right the US of A is broke. China and Europe finance debt get ready the end is near.

  • they want us out of THEIR country occupations are never taken lightly. let me put it to ya like this if an occupation force landed in the united states the americans who wud fight wouldnt b fighting for the leader(president) or any1 theyd be fighting for their ppls survival n self esteem to drive the occupation out. I have all the respect for our armed forces but we are in those poor countries for the wrong reasons...

  • @TheEmcee1 then they shoud have never attacked ares :)

  • Gabe we all wish you the best here in ND and thank you for your service. Best of luck on your next tour.

  • God bless our marines

  • Ohhrah! :D

  • At least there doing there job to keep the road safe.

  • Marines are cool........

  • damn half of you are so f'n stupid..how bout you replace the camera mans spot or even walk in front of the troops..and you find an IED and let it blow your ass up.Remember while you are over here talking your shit they are there and everywhere else just trying to keep your dumbass alive..show them a little damn respect.

  • @TheMommaof4 Why does everyone say that? Soldiers aren't "protecting the United States" by fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In fact, every time we miss and do "collateral damage" we create whole families of terrorists furious at the loss of their loved one(s).

Terrorists should be fought with special forces. A decade, billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of troops, and OBL is killed by a special forces team in Pakistan. Sure glad we have all those troops in Afghanistan, though. Sigh.

  • @Valyn66 so you like people to die if we kill them they get mad if they kill us we get made but oh a us soldier doesn't matter his daughter/son is a piece of shit so is his mom who raised him just like the iraqi mans mom so its better for a us soldier to die and it be the same as if the iraqi died no one should die but as long as the iraqi man attacks the us soldier the us soldier will attack the iraqi man it wont end till we leave and we will soon.

  • @crazypat523 Your comment is BARELY even English. You seem to think I'm criticizing U.S. soldiers here - I'm not.

But let's not pretend they're protecting anyone over in the Middle East. Their presence only undermines domestic U.S. security. Why? Because you don't fight small, secretive bands of terrorists with trillion-dollar, decade-long, invasions.

What nets us the most terrorists? Random soldiers on the ground? Or is it drones and special forces?

    Psst: It's not the soldiers

  • @tajtas, i lol at your ignorance.

  • finally, someone else that's actually informed

  • war is war. regardless what it's about

  • man this is dangerous i would NEVER walk in a field with IED's or tripwires and all that shit...next thing u know ur left ass cheek is blown off!!

  • Agreed.

  • A local soldier in my town was killed from an IED, it affected the town greatly. Let this war come to an end soon.

  • It's not going to, and the qualitative difference when we lose men and equipment in Afghanistan and Iraq, compared to the killing of Iraqi and Afghan insurgents, is gigantic. They use very simple devices to destroy very expensive equipment, and highly trained soldiers who have to be transported and fed.

  • EVERYONE TRYING TO START FLAMEWARS: Try compelling, intelligent and boring ways to get people to understand your views war and politics instead of bathroom-wall style write and ditch loaded language. Calling someone a fool without acknowledgement or grace only achieves disparity in the tedious political gap that the last decade caused. You want the "idiots" to do the write thing? Then stop talking to them like idiots and start owning up to your words like we are brothers

  • Get them out of there! I'm tired of hearing the loved ones cry! Bush started the worst campaign in our history, and we take the fall. I'm lucky to have nerve damage.

  • @IntiHehlua and what about those iraqi and afghan people suffering from their terrorist regimes? Shall we just leave them alone?

  • It's all a fiasco, poppycock. That area of the world has everyone trying to get a piece of its resources, and haven't you heard about the civilians that we are killing down there, in support of the operation? Us taking lives or them, which do you prefer, because that's what's really going on. I prefer to take care of our own, because we need to stop wasting money that we don't have!

  • But we did get them out...And immediately moved them to Afghanistan! Thank you, Mr. Obama!!!! At least people can explain why we're there...NOT

  • It must take a lot of courage to go looking for explosives even in one of those armored trucks... I hope those guys all made it home to see their families...

  • I like dogs.

  • national geographic made a typo in the information box/section. it's helmand province, not hemland.

  • Holy crap, I deploy in one month!

  • Good luck. Thanks.

  • god bless and good luck

  • I have been to Iraq and I was in Ramadi in 2006 to 2007 and I saw many of these get blown all to hell they know how to get through these big ass trucks. Good luck man when it is all over you will be so relived I was a tanker and our tanks even got blew up and burned for a week I dont know how they burn for so long but they do but mostly we where on humves and that sucked. You will have fun sometimes and sometimes you will be ready to get the hell out of there.

  • amen bro like those shaped charges those haji's make with copper, plastique, n a coffee can those shits are nasty. Crazy when you see humvee glass MELT fricken melt....

All I gotta say when you get there is don't trust anyone them haji's working on base aern't your friends ur not there to make friends ur there to do ur job and get you and your men back home safely with your families!

  • @7SnakeEyes7 Good luck

  • @7SnakeEyes7 Stay safe

  • @7SnakeEyes7 i deploy in 2 days to Afghanistan too im a MP i saw 2 IED blasts in my past tours it was big as shit

  • They talk about getting complex bombs... When I was in that area a couple years ago we found eight pounds of HME crammed into a watermelon with a garage door opener as the trigger. As far as I know it was the worlds first watermelon IED.

  • fire in the hole!

  • Go see "The Hurt Locker" if you're interested in this video.

  • its hard to shoot sum1 with out thinkin about it....u got to atleast shoot sum1 b4... u know in order to shoot shoot another person

  • Like whoa.

  • very cool

  • fuck it say who ever wants to live leave and bomb thoe whole place to hell.

extract every 1 that wants to live and any 1 with a gun or any weapon gets shot.

screen every 1 that passes and check for any signs of bs from them.

    play hard ball.

  • One problem...when you fuck up the place (lol) you leave HUGE damage...making HUGe debts...so the U.S. gets known as a bombing ass... I don't think the U.S. wants to ruin the whole country.

  • @Airsoft109z I think the US is ruining the US.

  • ... that is kind of true...since we are spending all the stupid money we could be using to get us out of this recession on war... >_>

  • @bow2deathwish

    Play murderball more like it

  • Only armchair generals say "just bomb them all". Believe it or not most Afghans are on our side. They hate the taliban and support us being there despite what the lefty media and your lefty professors try to tell you. If you do that you'll only alienate and enrage the Afghans and the whole country will turn against us making our efforts there to develope the country and kick out the taliban infinitely more difficult.

  • Ibstead you have to leave the bases, interact with the locals, help improve their quality of life and gain their trust and support. When you do that the intelligence from the locals pours in and it makes it much easier to find IEDs and flush out the taliban. That's exactly what happened in Iraq and is why we won there so quickly when it looked like everything was going to hell. You have to treat people they way you want to be treated if you want to win the human terrain.

  • Luckily we have military commanders that understand that now (Petraeus, McChrystal, Gates) so expect good things to happen in Afghanistan in the next couple years. Casualties will go up on our side as we leave our bases and patrol towns more but in the long run it will result in less dead and injured and a win for our side and the Afghans. The only problem is that Obama is a complete idiot and only sent 3/4th of the troops McChrystal requested for moronic domestic political purposes.

  • And his announcment for when we'll be leaving was equally moronic and extremely damaging to our efforts there. Why would the locals side with us if they know we're leaving? Very dumb move on his part in order to throw a bone to his left wing defeatist pro-surrender political base. But hopefully Petraeus and McChrystal will make-do with what Obama gave them and still pull off a win. We should know whether or not we're going to win by mid to late 2011. It will take time.

  • @bow2deathwish The U.S is trying to rebuild the country, I even saw an interview with a captain in the marine corps and he said that this is a tough war because we are constantly trying to rebuild the battlefield

  • and i fully understand that but some times the fastest and the best way to rebuild is to wipe out the area fully.

and sense they can hide and keep bombing us in there own cities.

it seems best to do just that wipe it clean and rebuild. kinda hard to hide when they have no were to do it and as we extract the cities we can scan them aswell.

we secure the area and rebuild. less deaths faster rebuild less money.

  • im not heartless i wish i myself could go down there and make peace and hug and be best pals i really do. but these guys have logic of wanting most the world dead and us to be slaves to them if we could.

but extracting filtering and wiping out the area would be cheaper faster and the easier way than what we are doing now.

  • IEDs are real killers

  • awesome vid!

  • soooo---- its none of our business to spray paraquat or something on heroin poppy fields? ironic to help a country so they can continue to supply addicts worldwide

  • those AlQedas are sick lil maggots blowing up civilians.

  • @kotk05 Oh what about all the carpet bombing we did?

Entire cities of innocent people murdered.

  • @SirFoggy2Doped What cities? What war? Where are you getting your proof of this? Don't just spew out false information.

  • Why would we use carpet bombs when we laser guided and GPS guided precision munitions? Believe me we do everything possible to avoid civilian casualties. Many times risking our own lives and letting our enemies escape in order to prevent the deaths of civilians. The taliban know this and exploits it by surrounding thesmselves with civilians to act as human shields. And the taliban kills far more civilians that we do. And they usually do it by cutting their heads off for being "infidels".

  • this is so cool 5/5
