Grand Funk went against the grain. First and foremost they weren't British which in 1971 seemed to be a big problem for music critics and the rock elite. They were high energy, and they could cut hit records. The assholes like Rolling Stone would have loved the funk if they were degenerates, homosexuals, or junkies. Fuck the rock and roll hall of fame anyway Grand Funk rocks!

Most of the vocals on the WAAB track were sung by Don Brewer, with Mark doing a high harmony track. Karl Probst is the keyboard player and he has a good voice.......Mark accompanies him to copy the original 1973 recording.

In 1969 Mark Farner wrote a song that appears on the "CLOSER TO HOME" album (Nothing Is The Same) Powerful lyrics y'all. Mark ends the song with, "I can flash through future years and NOTHING is the same." WORD UP Mark! It was all real different back in those days. FUNK ON PEOPLE!
