  • Actually, it's a bug, because Safari only plays audio in the background. Videos get paused when you exit Safari.

  • yap...all original apple apps runs in background.

  • Safari always runs in the background... it did on the iphone also before 4.0

  • my ipod touch does that with songs randomly in the night. and i didnt play a song and go to the home screen i know it does that

  • @neomysterio Seriously, why would look for this video, only to bash on a product. The iPad isn't meant to replace a laptop, it's only meant for a certain amount of people who want a mobile tablet device. The iPad is great for me and I don't have to troll on the Internet at cluncky windows computers. PS. You can run windows on a Mac. Dumbass.

  • Isn't iOS 4 out for the iPad now and doesn't that essentially allow you to multitask?

  • eBuddy will still make you logged in if you do that stuff aswell, it must be a problem that the iPad has to fix. I'm gettin the iPad but I want to wait for the next gen to come out because if I get it now I wont be able to get another iPad but I can't wait

  • Yes, the iPad is multitasking Safari, Mail, installing new programs from AppStore, and iPod player. If you use Spirit and install SBSettings you will see what programs are running simultaneously. Also you can make more programs run in the background like Pandora or Spotify.

  • The iPad is garbage, get a laptop.

  • @neomysterio Are you retarded dude, Ipad is whats gonna soon throw your laptop in the garbage, but dont get me wrong it doesnt replace a laptop yet, but it sure does come close.

  • @jemalrussell2 I don't want it because it's apple, macs can only run 10% of my programs. No thanks Apple. I am not retarded fanboy, I am realistic.

  • @neomysterio dude with apple products you dont need all those programs, i thought the same thing until i got my macbook(old at that) but thats my decision, you should try one tho im sure youll like it.

  • @jemalrussell2 So it can patch my Xbox 360 backup games so they work on my console? Can it run RPG Maker VX so I can continue making my game? Can I use a my rom hacking tool? Will it run a PS2 emulator? I have no reason too get one of these pieces of junk.

  • @neomysterio Seems like you are a windows or linux fanboy to me. Buy whatever products you like and fit your needs. There is no need for you to bash a product you don't like because there are plenty of people, over 2,000,000 to be exact, that think the iPad is great for what they need it for. So instead of wasting your time watching these videos and posting negative comments why don't you just ignore them and get on with your life.

  • @moose0422 Beause people need to realise that this product is just a cheap gimmick

  • @neomysterio See but thats your opinion and its fine to have an opinion but there is absolutely no need to call a product a gimmick. Have you ever used an iPad and see what it is capable of? You are just an Apple hater so just keep the negative comments to yourself.

  • @moose0422 It is a gimmick. How is it not?

  • Safari, iPod and Mail applications can stay up in the background officially. This is the way your iPod keeps playing music or your mail application keeps fetching new updates. This has been official since the first release date. Many radio websites have used this as multitasking features to play music on Safari and then let the user multitask

  • @se7ene1evenster oh thats pretty cool say you have a song on youtube or something on itunes if im using pages can i listen to it??? and is there anyway to change the sound on ipad??

  • @joannesiano I don't fully understand your question but I will try to answer it. You can play music from the iPod app and than use any other apps you want because the iPod app allows you to play music in the background. With the new iOS 4 Apple is introducing multitasking so you can use other apps like Pandora to play music in the background.

  • @moose0422 does safari sound run in the background??? and yes you answered my question perfectly

  • @joannesiano I don't think Safari runs in the background, so audio from Safari won't play once you hit the home button.

  • @moose0422 so how did they get that error

  • @se7ene1evenster This actually turned out to be a bug because it never worked again. I don't believe Safari runs in the background though because there really isnt any need for it to.

  • @moose0422 what you are calling a bug is exactly what i want an ipad to do. hopefully ipad3 will allow real multitasking

  • show apple or maybe espn has flash and close's the browser cant support the page

  • Probably not a bug. It's got a 1ghz cpu ffs...

  • ^made the previous comment before I saw it exit and stop. So it stops after you exit the browser twice? That would be a bug lol. But you can obviously see that this thing can handle multitasking with this, so I don't see why they don't make it a permanent feature in the future.

  • Wait for Microsoft's IPAD he'll be next month Do not be suckers My friends
