There are a few RC kits for the ME 262 available.

GWS makes the best small one. Appx $500 (kit, motors, retracts, radio system, batteries....)to get it flying properly.

The one in the video cost at least $7k just for the engines.

Meteors were the first jet built,tho they werent in active service for some time.but yeah..i did laugh at the guy..i cant imagine many mustangs shootin em down..possibly they collided in midair..IE a kill!

They were vulnerable at take off and landing due to poor throttling characteristics and poor acceleration with early jet engines. As a result, FW190Ds were used to guard them during that phase of their flights, the FW190Ds were painted red and white underneath to help the airfield gunners to differentiate them from allied fighters. P51s and P47s shot down Me262s but normally by jumping them when they were low and slow.

Yepp ! And because the "guard-dog"-190s were looking so colourful when seen from below, their respective squad was hence named the "Papageien-Staffel" or "Parrots-Squad".

The speaker is quite funny, he has to point out the Gloster Meteor that in fact saw service way later than the Me-262, and then he has to mention that P-51 Mustangs shot these down... Even though the Me-262 had a K/D ratio of 5:1 and also were greatly outnumbered and suffered fuel and pilot shortages.
