I remembered this as Question Time came on tv tonight as it was held in Winchester Cathedral and all of a sudden I was little again and bouncing around my living room to this song being played on the radio. How I loved it and still do!!
THANKS, Nancy, but fourth year elementary school for me! Mom rushed out and bought the New Vaudeville Band album of this and I have it yet, today!
Added it to 1966. Complicated - this song spawned two or more groups from this hit, so this is the singer on my album, but this is his group that branched off after the album was recorded.
My 400 playlists give you continuous play for any of over 250 artists or any of the past 120 years. Hear the best pop music of the day as if you were there!!!
We had this on a 45 when I was a little kid. I remember thinking it sounded like he was pinching his nose, but I couldn't believe somebody would really do something that silly on a recording.
the first 45 i can recall my father playing.....

My favorite song as a kid. Music is utterly repulsive today. Bunch of Rap and Hip Hop crap.

This song was great fun. My late father always enjoyed it. Brings back good memories.

Why was this song popular? It is just horrible.

Great memory song, but the nose bleed was not from whistling, rather than squeezing his nose too hard....I think.
