Thanks for posting this. Charley Charles driving it all along beautifully as usual and Ian showing the genius of his stagecraft. Works for me every time.
saw them Leeds 1978 on the Stiffs Live Stiffs tour.... absolutely brilliant... front row...wreckless Eric, Dave Edmunds, Nick and this man... what a star... !
I remember him when he was Kilburn and the High Roads and a mate of mine even went out with one of the girl backing singers who were called the Roadettes.
I do an acustica version of this with harminica, I´ll be posting it up soon.

Great music - but that shirt is WAAAYYYY toooo loud -
Seriously though, Mr. Dury was - a great musician / poet/ wit / raconteur / speaking voice / Imagination and above all, a great bloke.
Much missed.

Who is the guitarist fully left with the semi-acoustic who you see at 1:55 and does the solo? Was he also in Kilburn & High Roads?
Reint25 3 years ago
That'll be Chaz Jankel on lead guitar mate. He made an album called Chazanova & did other solo stuff with Ian & possibly sly & Robbie too.
