The TurboGrafx-16 Looks Like A Decent System. Good Games, Built In Turbo Switches On The TurboPad, And A CD Player Without An Extra AC Adapter (TG16+CD=1 AC).
To me, the TurboGrafx was pretty lame! It had a few good games, but most of the games I saw for it were bogus. No wonder it went almost as fast as it came!
@jarbon5 Unfortunately 95% of the good games only came out in Japan. There it was more popular than the Genesis (Mega Drive) and didn't die out until 1995, whereas in the US it was pretty much dead in 1991 when the SNES came out.
Though they use slower CPUs, both of those systems have the graphical processing they boasted. Go ahead and compare the consoles, you'll see the value of peppier GPUs is more substantial than color enhancement.

Comparing the NES to the Turbografx-16 is like comparing SNES to the 32x.
32x = Not a 32-bit console
Turbografx-16 = Not a 16-bit console.
Both consoles above just output more color.
