attn: don't ever apply your foundation with a sponge. you will go through it 2-3 times faster. sponges are great for setting, and just kind of rolling it along the skin when you're done. brushes are best...especially with acne prone skin. be sure to wash it constantly though, reshape it, and lay it flat overnight to dry.

Brushes are better for application and sponges for blending. If someone prefers to use a sponge, moisten it with water first - the foundation doesn't absorb as much - if at all.

If you're going to use a sponge, wet it first (and wring it out) and use it to apply your moisturiser before you let it touch the foundation. Latex sponges are best. Also most people never clean their brushes, despite how cheap brush sterilizer is; if you're a lazy fuck then buy some latex sponges, cut them up, use them, clean, ditch them after 4-5 uses.
