Mordeth: one uncivilized, warped minded person who enjoys masturbation and getting liquored (among other things)... Can also be an action. Doing a "mordeth" involves promising something, and failing to deliver upon it for a surprisingly long length of time... hehheh :) something with ADD ?:P
This is sad because for students to reach the higher level of education in our system, they have to excel at an early age, yet our system of education from K-12 is very weak. However there is no doubt that America has a lot of opportunities.
Don't take the kid out of school. You really think memorizing information will do harm? I teach high school in the U.S., and I can tell you that not only are most of our students unable to memorize anything, but also their critical thinking skills suck way worse than the FOB Asians who arrive here as teens.
Worst case scenerio: the boy memorizes facts in school, and you teach him to think about them at home.
In Germany you'll never get all the points you can get by simply writing down the memorized stuff, you've always got to do something yourself...well at least that's what it's like in my school, never went to some other school actually...(except elementary school)
America teaches like that to which explains why some kids that get straight A's are still stupid as a rock since they have no common sense... they have all the knowledge just don't know how to use it correctly.
@Emericaskaterx U.S. education is nothing like Taiwan's. We need a bit of that Taiwan-style memorizing and academic discipline. Our education produces idiots, not because we don't ask children to think, but because we emphasize too much the concepts of freedom and equality. Students, we think, should be free to think how they wish and all of their ideas should be treated equally no matter how stupid they are. "They all have knowledge" That is a joke! They know nothing except their navels.
there are people in bulgaria that do that thing too but they are not related to any asians its just a thing that was passed from generations to generations mostly people in the mountians though. weird!
its understandble that these maters can heal well beacuse martial arts are so effective beacuse they know anatomy its centuries of knowledge passed down and perfected; in order to destroy the body one must understand the body. and martial arts isnt just fighting its healing too. modern medicine just doesn't accept it because why should thye offer a quick fix when they can drag it out and charge more?
I have been doing some experiments with chi or qi (or whatever the hell it's actually called), and I do think that I have a knack for it, but I have no teacher... You should definitely get your son into that shit, that stuff runs really deep into the secrets of the universe.
hey that bus at the end...... in Thailand they have those huge party buses with flashing lights and a huge stereo system. when we stopped in Taiwan i didn't notices any. Do you guys have those too?
International schools are harder to come by outside the major cities, and expensive as hell. Then, the students have a major daily commute that eats into their play and family time. A lot of them also become isolated foreign enclaves that don't prepare the students for life anywhere but another little enclave. Tough call for a parent.
That is completely true about Asian schools. I learnt about that in my Cultural Psychology class. Collectivistic cultures (such as East Asia) emphasize discipline whereas in the West the school system acknowledges individual differences in personality and learning.
Dont forget to make your son pay for you and wife's life after he becomes mega rich. Say without you he wouldnt have aquired his amazing skill and thats gonna cost at least $30,000 a year.

But now seriously. You're a good father when you think beyond yourself and so well to your son. That speaks of your maturity and self consciousness. I hope that qi gong master lives long enough to teach your kid. But most probably he'll live longer than we all do:) One of your better video's if you ask me. 5*
The way of teaching in Asia sounds pretty bad, but its present in Ireland as well where I live. Its all memorize memorize, and puke it out on the day of the exam. No provocations for imagination or creativity. It's not just in Asia.
Also though, home schooling can be fine, I had it done myself for a short period of time, but for that time I did not develop as well, socially I mean. Not having high school or Uni education though, that's pretty nasty IMHO, personally.
I know its not the same thing, but in America (where I live at least) the teachers just loaf around all day, and give you like 8 hours of homework every day, so you have like no free time at all... plus every single high school English class ive been in has based half your grade on art projects.. All the teachers care about is not being bored, and sometimes having students' art on the walls... I hate it :P
I haven't been to school in America, but by what you give me, I can safely say that education is going a bit down the drain in several countries, not just Asia or Ireland but America as well. But I I will be fair to say there are institutions out there that do have quality education. I'm doing everything with my time and power to get into one of these kind of institutions. And I ain't talking Ivy League here, brudda. :P

Hi Mordeth: Why don't you start a different kind of a school...where thinking is taught? Maybe an after school thing to start with...or a weekend seminar. Seriously. And why, oh why do you cut off your videos...!
It's better than being turned into another robot by the communist inspired educational system of southeast Asia. If mordeth was your father, why would you want to be taught by anyone else?
School system in my place sucks too...But that doesn`t mean that I should have no choice...I know that as a parent you have expirience, and don`t want some mistakes, bad things, to happen to your kid...

You must have in mind that,

Over here in germany those guys are called "bonebreakers".. They fix horses and mostly animals, but can fix humans too, the only difference is, they don´t have a diploma or something, it´s all self taught or family knowledge and tradition. Seems like every culture has some secret doctors^^
The Asian way of teaching sounds an awful lot like what they aspire to in the US as well. In Massachusetts, they have a system that forces the teachers to do nothing but teach to the test.
i went to the doctor cause i had messed my ankle up bad i couldnt put any weight on it and he just gave me something to wrap it up in and told me to put ice on it ......it wasnt getting any better after 3 weeks my dad took me to this hispanic lady she poped it and in less than 5 min i was out walking with no more pain
what you said about school is so right... 90% of it is useless stuff, only thing it's good for is the social aspect but there is many other ways to develop social skills.
As far as "healing" a long had injury, it's just not always possible. In your case it might have been something that was out of place in your body -- a nerve overlapping, or whatever the case it was. There's things that scientifically you will not be able to "fix" or "cure" through a mere yank or pull. The body's functions will remain the same, not matter what you attempt to do.
I'm a college student, and learning is still 90% memorization and regurgitation. Even well paying jobs are this way in the United States. Ever wonder how someone can get paid so much for their job (100,000k+) and are still not smart (or even stupid)? Most of them just hold a lot of knowledge, but are not smart -- they're two completely different things. Being smart and creative comes from genetics in my opinion.
I watned to learn, but i dont have much free time either. Anyone can learn qigong...only thing is how fast your about to learn the "right" material. I'm sure your friend is gonna be a teacher since he's able to make things look easy.
Yeah, I know lots of parents who give their kids tons of freedom in choice. And the kids end up being dropouts delivering pizza with no direction in life.
Im not saying parents should give their kids tons of freedom. Im just saying you shouldnt force them take a certain direction.
I even think its important that the parents are severe, though also loving and accept and encourage their kids to reach their dreams.
There is a difference between teaching your kid what is right or wrong, and optional - pass on your faith. But they should not be forced into something, that might not add to their reality.
I'm serious, it's not a joke. He was with this one really dumb girl his age, but I don't think they got what they were actually doing, like that episode of South Park with red rocket...
Do you have any idea how long it would take to learn to become a qigong healer? Also, just my opinion, but you should let your kid experience school mainly for the social aspect of it.
Yes, but Asian school creates stupidity. Hard for me to sit back and watch my son lose his soul as one of the poorest educational groups in the world suck it out of him.

Ghosts are real. And anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that the world is run by a select few.....and they aren't the presidents.

Think you need to lookup the definition of real there Mr English teacher.
The first google definition really made me smile:
being or occurring in fact or actuality; having verified existence; not illusory; "real objects"; "real people; not ghosts"; "a film based on real ...
I didn't add the ghosts bit, haha. And maybe this is the problem, I have more than an ounce of common sense and I don't *know* this.
