  • great job dude!!!! =D

  • this song is freaking scary

  • @XChaosXSniperX No prob.

  • @XChaosXSniperX Middle mouse button... I THINK it's the very right edge of your touchpad. It is on my Toshiba, so I'm only guessing it's on others.

  • creepy...

  • At one point I thought you were making Mario! Too much Nintendo for me!

  • is it just me or is this really gross looking?

  • It's a little creepy XD I just got blender yesterday so i have ABSOLUTELY no idea what anything does XD

  • Ho do i rotate on the sculture ..... mabye a silly question :P !! where can i fins answer ?! .. sorry my bad english .

  • what button did you press to smooth the sphere at 0:03 ??

  • @iMrCookie Probably subsurf.

  • Comment removed

  • THAT THING IS GOING TO EAT MY FUCKING SOUL

  • nice

  • <<--@austinartwar I have some kick butt blender models to make tutorials for. See the models and vote up the ones that should have a tutorial. Or maybe subscribe so when I do get one you will know.

  • i understand everything until 1:12

  • @VilleIsTheShit That's not part of the sculpting. He just adds a sphere, UV textures it, and tweaks it a bit to make a cornea.

  • i like the music - sounds with this ! ! ! I'd like to know about its creation

  • wow, people on youtube should make video games, lol

  • 1:09

    HOw :/

  • the UV mapping is hard, sculpting the face is simple, just take your time and experiement, nice job btw oblen

  • I'm trying to make a rock with symbols on it. Will this help?

  • probably

  • I hope I get some help soon.

  • not long

  • how long have you worked with the blender until you could do something like that???

  • Streichholz00, try 'holding it' to speed things up. just don't piss until you finish your model or you piss your pants. you'll be surprised how quick you finish something, dorkbag. rofl.

  • wie dreht man den körper zum 3D ( am anfang )??

  • It's totally fabulous! I can't believe you did it with such speed.

  • @sadabpirate the video's sped up.

  • I'm impressed.

  • its too fast

  • actually never mind but somehow i got rid of the bar with the modes on and other things how do i get it back?

  • how did you split the srceen so you had two heads?

  • hover over the edge of the workspace so that you see the double-sided arrow, right click and split the area.

  • I watched this video when I first got blender and was completely confused. Now I've played with it a bit, I understand much of what is going on here. I liked how you sped it up condensing a bunch of information in 3:29. If you understand the steps, it saves time. Good job.

  • Thanks for that comment.

This was actually my first ever shot at sculpting in blender, I had never sculped in any other package before either. xD at the time I knew nothing of what I was doing.

  • howw did you do the eye??? plz tell me!!!

    'rated 5/5 awesome vid btw

  • Nice video

  • its obviously that the video is fast lol i think i posted right before about your video but if i dont, so, i think i i tryed to say that the tool in blender which sculpts is cool!

  • What is the music please???

  • oblenob if I want to model a Human Body for example, I need to import a human body pic file from my Pictures or Blender has samples of human bodies in it I can work with?

  • i like the music

  • eh i still think that A:M (animation master) is eisier to render sculpt and animate X3

  • Luv' this demo

  • wow dude you suck so bad, no joke btw

  • i dont know anything about blender but it looks fast and godd

  • The video is sped up, but if you can work this fast, the program won't lag or anything.

  • how do u make the shape bigger?

  • and how do u move it around?

  • S to scale a shape and G to grab it for moving

  • I'd recommend going through some tutorials. There are tons of them around the internet.

  • sweet it was just the mouth that bothered me

  • Can you make a tutorial about this?

  • Yea, I'd like to see a tutorial aswell, like.. what buttons you use for what, like... techniques and stuff, I have no idea where to start

  • put alot of effort into the eye ! lol

  • This program looks awesome, im gonna get this :D

  • where do you go to learn how to use this program?

  • search manuals and tutorials on the web.. they're free.. The problem with this software is thay is not very intuitive

  • how did you add the eye!

  • press shift while sculpting to carve into the mesh, the eye was a UV sphere with a UV texture.

  • how i make the eyes deep?

  • can you make a human body with this program that you use

  • I personally cannot as I can't model too well, but yes. One can make a human.

  • i know how to know :P i know how to sculpt now aswell its like a piece of modeling clay!

  • very easy model ....

  • can u use this on second life?

  • I dont know, I dont play second life

  • how do you make 3D items like have a 3D view like the starting square?

    please answer back!

  • its sloth!:P

  • whats blender?

  • Blender is a 3D program. It's free aswell. You can create still images, animatins/movies/videos, games, music videos, characters, scenary, architecture, etc. It's pretty sweet...

  • Well, i know it's difficult the interface have lot of things, but nothing that practice and time dont get ;]

I'm seeing a lot of demo videos on youtube to understand how it works, good luck to all you guys =]

  • how do you animate with it ????? im confused

  • just like z-brush. nice.

  • This 3d graphics application looks difficult to understand. The layout even looks hard to comprehend. I guess it beats maya or 3ds max if you don't have $7000 to dish out. Either way I'm learning this software if it hurts me! lol

  • its really not that hard to understand :\ I just dont know how to animate or model...

  • Is there a tutorial anywhere for the UV mapping effect? Please! I really need this... Thanks so much for this awesome video.

  • super3boy has one just type in super3boy mapping tutorial it will show up

  • sorry but could you please slow this down? all of thes tutorials are fast, even when they have time to be normal speed, please make a normal speed one please, cause this is too fast for me and its the best one i seen

  • Read the title, it says DEMO not TUTORIAL

  • yes but i like to see a DEMO slow

  • okay

I will call it a timelapse instead

  • sory if your mad at me, i was only asking, you dnt have to

  • POOP ON YOU FOR ASKING THAT!

  • mmmm ok but how na u poop on me, through the computer screen XD

  • This is the tutorial from The Essential Blender! Pretty awesome, dude.

  • Nope, it aint. I had just downloaded a recent build of blender and found sculpt tools, so I didn't hesitate to make a video. Unfortunately I had no previous sculpting experience so the result was rather poor.

  • lol you rule.

  • man i dont even have blender and if i did i would neevr even figuer out how to make things that are cool

  • The physics of b are kinda cool...

  • how did you invert the cornea? about 2:24

  • I think I used 2.43 however any recent build will work.

  • looks like Sim City music XD

  • Nice! Awesome work, I wish I could be nearly that good!

  • hey, i was wondering how u were sculpting the object, because there must be an easier way of extruding than selecting the dif points and draging....i see youre using some menu with 3 tabs in it (using the middle one) but i cant quite get it. thanx

  • wooaaa...

  • wow... I'd started on modelleng stuff two weeks ago, with blender of course, and gods like you are the ones that make feel that i should never give it up, I just hope to find my interior god some day, but it would be more likily to be Váli than Thor...lol

  • wow, fuck!

    How good are you?

i would never have come to the idea how to create a more realistic eye!

  • Nicely done. I do agree and love the "eye surgery."

  • how do you make a round object?

  • add a cube and subsurf it or add multires

  • what song is this?

  • or just use a uv or ico sphere

  • eye surgery lol

  • how do you move the screen? (turning the thing)

  • i guess you mean pressing "alt+left mouse button" or "middle mouse button"

  • nice vid :D realy helps alot

  • How can i do sculpting symmetrically?

  • press x

  • Oh, of course. Nice vid by the way.

  • Wow the way of since you made the eyes was incredible!

    (Im Using a Translator) jejeje

  • Very Nice! If only I could just fly through that... even though you obviously fast forward it the recording, unless your a god. Are you a god? hehe

  • wow, the forst person to uncover my true identity. yup I am a god. I am Thor.

  • lol, nice vid

  • 2 oblenob: (thats the only reasonable and acceptable usage of "2" for to) This video is great. Thx really.

  • thanks, but I dont really think there are any exceptions for to, two, too.

  • i am new on this any tips

  • im new 2. and all tips i got is.... watch all the tutorials :)

  • i am new on this any tips

  • I am most definitely a "noob" when it comes 2 this. I mainly like 2 use MAX when it comes 2 modelin' and some animation. It would probably take me a while 2 learn 2 use this.

  • Okay I can acept that, if you want to use different software do, but Please, Please, Please write all your to/too/two s out in full.

  • I just get frustrated and annoyed when I see really obviously bad spelling

  • Very well then.

  • I am brand new to this software and I am just so amazed at the things that people like yourself can do with this. I am rather curious on how long you were useing the software before you could do something like this?

  • I was crap at it. I was sooooo excited when I got a monkey (most n00bs are) and delighted when I made a chrome sphere. but I just kept going on at it and I have got much better (even more so scinse this) I hope you keep going at this and enjoy yourself. =)

    -Oblenob

  • i found the sculpt tool, its under the menu for which mode you want, object, edit, etc...

how do you get the vertices to go in? i can just make them pull out or smooth them back to the sphere

  • try pressing shift.

  • im a total blender noob, so can you give me the rundown on how to actually use the sculpting tool? I can't even figure out where it is.

  • u could of made it like a real tutorial and told us how to do it because i was trying to follow on but u were too fast and i didn't know what u clicked on

can u make another one but with ur voice as a guide =D

  • this is just a demo. I have no time to make tuts ATM. plus. I was using a tablet so strokes could not have been copied exactly

  • im speechless

  • i just got Blender and i haven't a clue to how to do ANYTHING... the tutorial that came with finding it didnt help much... but im hopping to learn!

  • Look at the video tutorials on the blender website to get started, there pretty good.

  • can you please drop the blender website in my inbox.

    thank you dear friend.

  • welcome to the club

  • i have just join too. and im clueless as well

  • What song is this?

  • I have forgotten. all I know is that I found it on youtube's audio replace

  • how did you split the screen?

  • use your middle mouse button to click on the line seperating the 3d view from the buttons panel. a dialog box will come up asking you what you want to do. click on "split area". a line will now appear above your cursor. click wherever you want to seperate. Done.

(If you middle click right after choosing split area it will change the orientation of the line.)

  • thank you so much, I couldn't do this tutorial(ironically) of creating a completed 3d super hero from a simple comic book style reference

  • thanks to you :) many ways opend to me to what i can do with sculp mode

  • also how do u get it to sculp both sides at once.....thanks=)

  • sculpt on both sides press x and to change brush size press f and shift+f to change the strength

  • thanks....one more thing tho...how do you link the image to the object like you did at around 1 58....thanks again

  • I selected said object and pressed 'f' to go into UV mode then I pressed 'a' to select all faces then 'u' and cilicked project from view. before or after opening the image in the image editor. I cant really remember

  • how do you change the size of the sculp brush...and how do u get the image of the eye to go to the object?....

  • Cool. Would love to hear what keys are being pressed -- would make a great tutorial

  • hey whats this music????

  • something I found on youtubes audio replace tool

  • can I ask. when your setting in eyes, how do you place one, then produce the other one so it's at the correct position in the head?

  • I moved it along the axis

  • blender sculpt=kindergarten sculpt

  • Blender+Sculpt+CRAPPY_SCULPTER=Kindergarten sculpt. look at some of the other ones too

  • Yes i'll see, well an example:the video lost making of lock's face in 3d,was made in blender,he is advanced user in blender, now check this video:zbrush sculpt demon warrior.Blender is basic still in advanced level,If you check the short film Elephants Dreams there is the same problem.maybe for beginners looks amazing but....

  • Maybe blender isn't as advanced as Zbrush or programs like taht because it doesn't have teams of people upgrading and improving it all the time. It's Open Source, so anyone can edit the program. Open Source=Free=Good!

  • thewalrus=man-who-does-not-matter

  • i am working at.

  • ? im confused...

  • just forget it.

  • very cool. nice software as well

  • good tut;)

  • post a tutorial

  • I am working on one that will be up in about a week or 2

  • how do you get the tool to edit both sides at the same time?

    btw nice video

i didnt even know blender had a sculpt tool other than z brush which isnt free

  • there is a mirror in the x,y,z axis button so you can mirror all 3 if you want

  • k thanks

    btw nice head model

  • Nice, but I got a question, How did you modify the whole shape of the head, I have the eyebrows, nose, etc. but you lose me when you shape the head. Thank you.

  • I used the grab tool to grab parts of the head

  • Proportional grabbing. Push O to turn it on, and mousewheel/page up and down to change how much is grabbed.

Very useful tutorial, I didn't even know there was a scuplt in Blender and I've been using it for months.

  • Which blender version is this?

  • It was 2.43 but im on 2.45 rc2 now

  • good job but... is this difficult?

  • No not really but I have a tablet... not tried with a mouse

  • hey man make it little slower man plzzs you are good but make it slow ok thanks :)

  • ok I;m working on a tutorial at the mo
