I watched this video when I first got blender and was completely confused. Now I've played with it a bit, I understand much of what is going on here. I liked how you sped it up condensing a bunch of information in 3:29. If you understand the steps, it saves time. Good job.

how did you split the screen?

use your middle mouse button to click on the line seperating the 3d view from the buttons panel. a dialog box will come up asking you what you want to do. click on "split area". a line will now appear above your cursor. click wherever you want to seperate. Done.

(If you middle click right after choosing split area it will change the orientation of the line.)

Maybe blender isn't as advanced as Zbrush or programs like taht because it doesn't have teams of people upgrading and improving it all the time. It's Open Source, so anyone can edit the program. Open Source=Free=Good!

Proportional grabbing. Push O to turn it on, and mousewheel/page up and down to change how much is grabbed.
