  • he looks like robin van persie.

  • Cable std

  • thats easy its the 5th largest and i havnt even saw the answer yet

  • @TheTEAMBUTLER what if they ask a question about grammar?

  • 25k is less than a year's tuition for most of the top universities.

  • So much hate on Americans in all of these vids. I'm not even American but people need to lighten up.

I wouldn't even know the order of the planets from the sun had I not learned some nursery rhyme as a toddler. Knowing/not knowing this stuff does not make you smart(sorry folk who think they're the shit) or stupid. You can go pretty far in life without knowing a lot of the crap we were taught in primary and to be fair a lot does get forgotten.

The kid did well - made it further than most.

  • I would have gone with Jefferson simply because I know he was a builder/inventor.

  • This is really not an easy question, either you knew it or you did not. It was not one of those reasoning types of questions, which you could mull over.

Tough break for the kid, he gave it his best shot. 25k buys a lot of milk and cookies for college sleepovers. :))

  • @cheeriosinabowl after taxes it os only like 13K...which aint shit these days

  • @cheeriosinabowl after taxes it is only like 13K...which aint shit these days

  • @gdb5444

... true, 13K is piss on a rock, it would be gone in no time.

  • What a fukin moron... u didnt know this? There are kids in Africa that can answer this question !

  • @rockstarrist

    .... oh, sure.

  • @rockstarrist yo wtf is africa? a piece of shit?? stupid ass american

  • they have fukin cheerleaders ! this is pathetic.. only in America. Only in America

  • HOW?

  • he missed the easiest question for 250K ever

  • Lol dumbass... He cancelled it out properly, but he just dumbassed out. He cancelled out 4 that were bigger and 2 that were smaller, leaving him with the middle three... so whichever way he put it, earth couldn't have been more than the 5th largest... Fucking dumbass... He deserved losing for being such a moron.

  • this should have been a 100 dollar question.

  • Omfg that dude is such a DUMBASS. The 250k question was such an easy one (I answered it right live while I watched). Stupid american, he doesn't know that mars is smaller LOL !

  • @MasterLuigiSW oh, I'm sorry, it's smaller by THIS much...so it's not exactly easy to memorize this fact.

  • @MasterLuigiSW

You mention Mars, and him not knowing its size relative to Earth, when the real thing to joke about is that the question came down to the size difference between Earth and Venus. Why not comment on that? Perhaps it is you that is the buffoon. Yeah, I'm going with that.

  • @harrimanpd Because any dumbass should know in 2011 that Venus is quite smaller than Earth in size, wait you might fall in that category is ineducates too.

  • @MasterLuigiSW

Earth and Venus are actually very similar in size, imbecile. The second part of your response I have no retort for as I have no clue what you're trying to say.

  • Comment removed

  • @harrimanpd My whole point is that this dude is a dumbass for the simple fact that he thought either Nepture, Uranus, Saturne or Jupiter were SMALLER than Earth, hence why he answered C. The smaller than Earth are Mercure, Mars, Venus and Pluto = 4 planets (in 2007) . But his answer still doesn't make sens, since answering 6th largest implies that he thinks one planet from the following : Uranus, Saturne, Jupiter or Nepture is SMALLER than Earth to make it the 6th largest. So he's a dumb american.

  • the 250,000$ question was really easy

  • My friend tried out for millionaire, you have to do a phone interview where they ask you questions, he got them all right so they didn't let him on.

Which shows that they deliberately search for half-wits before letting them on.

  • I knew all of the answers, I want to participate !

  • This question is very misleading since Pluto is not considered a planet any longer and is in the classification of "dwarf planets" of which there are thousands.

I've noticed other questions on this show that aren't consistent and could easily be misinterpreted.

  • @staphinfection i would agree with you if it said how it said "how many plantets are SMALLER than earth" then you could debate pluto being a planet. but unlike you, for the majority of us that know the earth is bigger than pluto, we could rule it out. Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune are bigger (making earth fifth) and mars venus mercury and pluto (if its a planet) are small, Earth is right in in the middle.

  • @staphinfection Pluto has nothing to do with this question because it's about the largest planets. There could be 50 smaller planets than Earth in our Solar System and it wouldn't change the fact that Earth is the 5th largest. Jus' sayin'

  • @tardsfan Your analogy is incorrect. You measure from the smallest to the biggest not the biggest to the smallest.

  • @YesYou123333 I stand by my point. Earth is the 5th largest planet simply because there are four planets larger than it. That fact would not change no matter how many planets were smaller than it. If there were ten planets smaller of twenty planets smaller, it would still be the fifth largest because there are only four planets larger that it.

  • @tardsfan I still think you have it backwards.. at least for US English.

  • @tardsfan you made your point dude, and you're right. It's amazing to see how people still get that answer wrong even when someone explained it to them. You know you got it right (i did too) so just forget about the stupid people.

Take this advice, dont read your inbox never. Let this be the last time you do. Why? Because you can get mad with the stupidity people write from your comments and they can ruin your day little by little.

    Keep watching! see ya!

  • I learned "Probe Magellan Mapped V-E-N-U-S Joyfully" in school to remember the order from smallest to largest (when Pluto was still a planet.)

  • 100% sure he googled that question. Its so easy to google them now adays

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD THE EARTH BE THE 6TH BIGGEST PLANET? IT'S ALWAYS THE SMALLEST. venus, pluto, mercury, uranus, neptune.

  • There's alot of big planets yeah? I woulda guessed 5th.

  • that is such an easy question of 25k

  • @niceparkjob

    4. President Reagan (governor of CA) made schools in CA cheaper.

  • @charleneeee ok then, I will agree with you for a public university 25,000 is enough for an education...For a Private university- 25,000 is not even close for ONE year.

I did some research, and I did not know UC regents were so highly thought of...forgive me, I've never been near California, nor do people over in the midwest talk about California.

  • @niceparkjob

yyah, for private youre paying sheeeit load. my sister goes to a art school. the thing costs about 50k without dorming. -.-;; and she barely gets half covered by financial aid and scholarship. shes been taking out loans...

  • MARS IS SMALLER! AAH

  • @Redsdelight

obviously, it couldn't be left as 4 and 7, because the answer wouldn't even be on there if that happened.

  • That's a "trick question" almost.

    With our without Pluto?

From smallest to biggest? or Biggest to smallest?

Google it , and you'll see what I mean.

  • @JoanTBrye

Nor really because it's asking which is biggest. You need to know which planets are bigger, not which are small. In other words there could be 100 planets smaller than Earth but that's irrelevant to the question.

  • @Redsdelight that's why it's a million dollar question. You want to the million dollar question to be "what's the difference between a cheeseburger and a double cheesseburger" ?

  • even i knew it was 5th largest

  • @Redsdelight We don't even need fancy maths for this, we can just count this out there are 6 pairs that could be left, let's put em below eachother: A and B, 4 and 5 A and C, 4 and 6 A and D, 4 and 7 B and C, 5 and 6 B and D, 5 and 7 C and D, 6 and 7 Out of these six pairs, three have numbers "next to each other" If you nicely want numbers that'd be 50% Or even if not this, but just the pair 5 and 6. That's still 1 in 6 chance, 16.6% Let's argue if this is random by looking at separate shows.
  • how come ppl always look so calm. id be sweating, crying, laughing, shitting, peeing myself then pass out

  • URANUS IS DEFINITELY BIGGER!

  • @mainaim AHHJAHA

  • That college student who went for $250,000, he should go home with nothing, not $25,000. If he was so smart, he should have taken the $100,000 when he had the shot.

  • nahhhhh, motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!

    i had that right!!!!!

  • US 1million dollars

    UK 1million pounds

Haha we win. We get like double you do fat cunts.

  • Certainly 25k is great, but he was going for 250k, and he already had $100k on his pocket, but they went away.. I think he actually threw 75k away.. For me , it's pretty sad.. Besides, how in the world could anybody think Mars is larger than the Earth... Anyway, with that amount of money he should have withdrawn if he was not sure. Just my opinion.

Sorry for my bad English. It's not my "mater" language.

  • hey, some people work a whole year to make $25,000! He should be happy.

  • Comment removed

  • Easy question, pluto is not even a planet at all. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune while Earth ranks 5th largest.

  • this title described my saturday night if you know what I mean

  • @Carpet07 Lmfao she likes it deep eh? :D

  • Mercury, Mars, Pluto, and Ur anus-I mean Venus.

  • I miss Millionaire without the countdown

  • that question wasnt that hard actually, dont know why it was 250k

  • He's a fudge packer!

  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! :(((((((((

  • hes a cute, too bad he didnt win =/

  • question on planets, the options are: 4 5 6 7.

she says "computer randomly removes two options", computer removes 4 and 7 leaving the most controversial pair 5 and 6. Well, one can question how random the choice actually was...

  • By largest it's...Jupiter,Saturn,Neptune,Uranus,Earth,Venus,Mars ,Mercury then Pluto if you want to include it (dwarf Planet). I'm quite good at earth and space science

  • good gamble.

    he didnt risk a lot

  • Does he lose everthing? No. He did lose $75,000 on a 50/50 shot to win $150,000 profit.

Advanced Math says he needs to be correct better than 33% of the time on those odds.

Basic Math says he lost 75% however.

  • oh ,shut up, i bet 80% of the ppl here wouldnt have made it that far...retards...

  • I'm a space guy so I knew this before any of the answers sere shown.

  • this kid is the biggest dueche bag ever... how can you get that question wrong. He is probably gonna grow up to be a plebian....

  • I can't believe this college guy doesn't know basic astronomy.

  • The Earth is the fourth largest planet, as Pluto is not classified as a planet.

  • Are you a moron or something?

  • No, not really. Are you?

  • Pluto not being a planet doesn't change Earth's status as fifth largest planet. First largest is Jupiter, second is Saturn, third is Uranus, fourth Neptune, fifth Earth. Retards like you should be systematically exterminated, you are one of the worst people in the world.

  • And your screen name is "danthe flyingnigger".

I had a good lol at you calling someone else a retard that should be systematically exterminated. Black or not, discriminate racial terms and other such types of slander are what should be "systematically exterminated".

The guy made an honest, incorrect statement. Let it go.

  • Whether he's a racist or not does not take away from him being right about the issue he was commenting on. Your ad hominem argument is fail. And just in case you don't know what that term means, it means attacking a person directly in order to discredit their opinion on an issue unrelated to themselves. Basically, its bringing up things of no relevance to the subject and claiming that because of them somehow the value of the statement has gone down. Its retarded and so are you.

  • I get it, so your statement about him being retarded is an ad hominem argument. Therefore his argument about racism is no less credited because your comment about him being retarded bears "no relevance to the subject" Great definition followed by an example.

  • LOL...Hilarious.

  • now it is, ya. true story. Back when this was recorded i guess Pluto was still a Planet.

  • Umm, it goes from biggest down. Pluto makes no difference. Knowing a piece of trivia is only "trivial" if you don't know how to use it.

  • As Pluto is not classified as planet anymore, the Earth is the fourt largest.

  • fail

  • are you a fuking retard? basically you just stated pluto is larger than earth moron. pluto being gone has no relevance Jupiter,SaturnUranus,ANd neptune are all larger than earth so earth is the fifth largest.

  • Woah hey! You watch it there man! That guy is not an idiot. He did not imply that "pluto" was larger than earth. He even said "Pluto is definitely smaller", and he knew that four planets were bigger. But he wasn't completely sure if Mars or Venus was a little bit larger than earth, therefore it could have been 5th or 6th. If one of those planets were a little bigger, then that would have made earth 6th on the list. Pay more attention man. YOU are the idiot.

  • fail

  • 25k wont even pay off student loans. that sucks

  • He may not have any. And it's still great to have that much to put towards paying em off....

    $25k is alot of money...

  • 25k is nothing

  • Nah, that's a nice sum of money. It's not 1mil but 25k is better than nothing. To some people it might be nothing, but not for most

  • 25k would pay for the best university education and most of the living costs of such a thing as well. To many people, it is a lot of money.

  • i think u forgot that u only get half of what u win because of taxes

  • @elkrobber sadly, the cost of education has definitely went up.

  • @elkrobber not really cause the school im going to, the tuition is a little over $35,000

  • @elkrobber all though taxes would still take a majority of it away -_-

  • @elkrobber 25,000 WOULD NOT pay for the best university education and most living costs....are you kidding me??? Most top of the line Universities are over 35,000 PER YEAR just for tuition!

  • @niceparkjob

25,000 CAN pay for the best university education and living cost. depends where you go and if the university is private or public. UC regents (UCLA, UCSD, UCB, ETC) annual tuition is about 10,000 without dorming, so yes $25,000 is enough.

  • @charleneeee notice his Wisconsin shirt....That is in USA!!

  • Comment removed

  • @niceparkjob

UC regents are in california. thats ALSO in the USA.

  • @charleneeee UC regents ARE NOT known for the best education you can get...I'm talking Harvard, Yale, Princeton etc. Those are top schools

  • Comment removed

  • @niceparkjob

"UC regents ARE NOT known for the best education you can get.."

    1. you must not know what you are talking about. UC's are pretty good PUBLIC schools. the schools you mentioned are PRIVATE.

2.there are other schools in the US that tops those ivy leagues you mentioned and cheaper than those schools.

    3. where ever you go, education is the same in college/univerisity. professors go teach anywhere where the job/money is.

  • Comment removed

  • @elkrobber 25k for the best university education? The University of Nebraska is not the best university education.

  • @moonraker416 eh i suppose i'm writing from an english perspective where the most expensive fees are under 3,300 a year. and in scotland it's free

  • @elkrobber Maybe instate ;)

  • @elkrobber You clearly have no concept of how much school costs.... epic fail

  • @ferrarif40 suppose i'm writing from a uk perspective. apaprently costs you a mint over there

  • @ferrarif40 education is free where I live :) you're the ones who fail.

  • @elkrobber You would have to rent a DeLorean, go back 20 years, then apply to a top University and live in the projects. Then it would be a lot of money. Hell, you can't even buy a nice new car for that much.

  • Comment removed

  • wow i knew that last question he got wrong when i was in elementary school

  • THAT is a cruel question, Venus is so similiar in size to Earth, but I believe Venus is slightly larger..... I am not sure though

  • venus is smaller

  • After all the Iraq question was ridiculously easy for me, but if you don't know shit about Geography it suddenly becomes very challenging.

  • u can actually start remembering all the planets and u'll see it is the 5th largest.. itsso obvious .__. poor boy

  • If the question was about how far away a planet is in relation to the sun, I could recite that easilly with a rhyme (My Very Early Mate Just Sat Up Now). I know Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are definitley bigger. But it's hard to determine whether it's bigger than Venus, So it's far from being obvious especially with such a cruel 50/50.

  • W-whaaaat??? That was a $250,000 question? That is seriously something you learn when you're 8. Wow.

  • Wow I would have went B final answer before the choices came up. Clearly 2nd grade knowledge.

  • trust me you wouldn't really know the answer after a lnog time, if you don't believe try going on the show.

    lol

  • quite the milf, the moderator

  • It was the easiest queastion and he didn't answer.

  • idiot

  • greedy kids

  • Epic fail....

  • What he meant to say was that his father was the quickest Googler he new.

  • haha

  • *like the others, i watched it first*

IT WAS FIFTH-LARGEST!! ANYONE KNEW THAT ONE!!!

  • That question was kind of easy.

  • oh wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUMBASS

  • I had a feeling it was the 5th, but I would have ultimately walked since I really didn't know.

  • well, 25,000 is great too when ur at college ^^

  • yeah but good old uncle sam takes about 55% of that...

  • that´s what they call income tax, tax based on your salary.

  • right, but they still take it

  • what a sexy presenter

  • Oops, nevermind. I'm bad at math XD

  • Ouch. He would've been right if they had asked him that question now.

  • No, the question asks to consider how many planets are larger than Earth (not smaller). Only the four gaseous planets are larger, making Earth the fifth-largest planet, regardless of whether Pluto is considered.

If the answers were presented as "fourth-smallest," etc, it would be a different story.

  • GO BADGERS

  • kinda sad it could have only been fifth or fourth

  • u could acutally argue that cause there use 2 b another planet (not pluto) called planet X and it was slighty biggger than earth so yea u could argue that

  • not really... planet X has been basically disproved by astronomers

  • Wow super easy question for $250,000

  • 8:02 is funny

  • WTF the question he missed was easier than all the other ones he got right

  • mars is definitely smaller... it's like half the size. Pluto's not even a planet.

  • Quadratic Expansion, derivative.

  • he's like spelling out gliz to his dad

lol he was googling it !! :P

  • haha thats what i was thinking, his dads sitting at home by the computer all ready for it.

  • $25,000!!! He didn't lose shit :p

  • Is it a coincidence that the 50/50 decided to take out two of the most obviously wrong answers? Hm....

  • What an idiot! he probably thought pluto was still a planet & thought instantly that Earth was smaller than Venus! You stupid kid - go back to college! $25,000 is crap!

  • he definitley isnt an idiot ppl make mistakes and especially in pressure like that its hard to think clearly and how accomplished are you mr condescending commenter

  • To the title of this video.

    That's what she said!

  • wow

  • The dad was quite clearly googling 'Gliz'.

  • The guy said "jupiter, uranus, neptune and saturn are all larger than earth" That leaves earth being, at largest, the fifth. It was between fifth and sixth, he said the answer and didn't even realize it, holy fuck

  • Then he said Pluto + Mercury + Venus are definitely smaller, and that he wasn't sure whether Mars was larger or smaller than Earth. In the end he thought it was larger.

  • to HM208 no!! he was speaking to himself and then we can't know with which planet he was comparing mercury and Venus and when we speak is not like when we write,he may say pluto and just comparing venus or mercury not to the earth but with a reference planet that was in his mind..why I say so? well, because I was doing the same calculation in my mind too

trust me this guy is inteligent...luck wasn't at the appointment that all!!!

  • Serve's him right...smart arse!

  • Whoever says this was easy they are crazy. I picked B but I was not certain and I would not have risked it.. What about Pluto. Pluto is not even considered a planet anymore. Was this point considered.

  • exactly! That's what I was thinking about pluto as well. too much of a risk.

  • You know how old this is? And pluto is a dwarf planet.

  • I do agree this was pretty easy for 250 but come on, it's not worth all this flaming. Think about it. Would you really choose the obvious answer on such a high level question? I probably wouldn't have if I were in this position. If it were for 4 or something, I probably would have chosen have chosen B, but for 250? Geez louise.

  • I think it was just the very pressure of going for 250 that caused him to not choose the right answer. At least he went for it instead of walking away on an easy question.

  • How can you not know that Earth is larger than Mars? Dumbass!

  • "ice cube" = the beauty of wikipedia

  • is he fucking serious..why gamble on so much if you dont know the fucking answer?

  • I love how Millionaire always tells you the answers to the questions.

(i.e.: the answer to the question you now don't have to answer is "Thomas Jefferson", just so it doesn't keep you up all night wondering.)

  • I like how he eliminated three countries on the second $50,000 question and still has to think about the answer.

  • Mars is a LITTLE bit bigger isn't it?
