  • lol what do you use that for? Watch my save money on fuel with one wire vid, and yes hydrogen can saturate a block and aid in the combustion chamber.

  • Just add some cake batter and its an HHO powered birthday cake.

  • by the way , why cant I "back" from this page? Cant leave no matter how many times I click on the back arrow.

  • Introduce the HHO into the burner which has an air port in it. (Bunsen? kinda burner) Also "lightback" occurs when there isnt enough gas pressure. ie, the gas is coming slower than the flame speed of the gas.

  • I was wondering at 2.5 LPM what was your BTU output. I was considering putting 1 of these in a straight copper tube with fake logs or lava rocks for a heat source. Is it a crazy idea from your experience? Thanks JNC

  • add air to the hho gas then burn ..

  • Never use steel wool in a flashback arrestor. The steel wool can ignite, use fine bronze wool instead. Nice job on the burner.

  • Muaixmn Looks good What size cell will it take to run James

  • Doesn't seem like a lot of flame- did you try it? How did it work for you...very interesting idea.

  • trying to make a one burner HHO device 1 liter HHO

I cant get it to light. Do I need bubbler and air from an aquarium pump.

    Thank you

    jim

  • @gjim20 Always use a bubbler before the flashback device- good for safety...

  • Hi I am trying to make a one burner HHO device with a 1 liter HHO

I cant get it to light. Do I have to use a bubbler and to I need to add some air from an aquarium pump. I could substitute a 1 liter Hydrogen generator if that would work better but wonder if I need those two things I am using the .025 tip banged down.

    Thank you

    jim

Thank you for any help that will work and not blow back especially with HHO

  • This is so B.A. man. I will make one soon. I made a cell for a HHO car device, I may use it to pump it into a burner similar to yours. Saves alot on gas bill, huh?

  • i love the design, and the simplicity of it, but no matter how many times i count, i still can't find number 19.... i only see 18

  • @basicimpala I just counted myself, there are deffinitely 19 tips.

  • now that is friggin awesome!!

  • Whenever I try to light my hho burner, the flame pops into the tube and ignites the rest of my hho

  • If you are getting flashbacks then the hole size is to big for the amount of gas you have going thru it ..If you are using mig tips you close the hole up some by tapping the top with a spoon or hammer ..What are you using and how many LPM are you doing ?

  • well the LPM is variable at the moment I am experimenting with producing hho through a chemical reaction. However would it work to attach a fire arrester? (metal tube with moist steelwool)?

  • hello every one. i just have 3 questions:

    1) why don't you a cast iron primus burner?

    2) how much energy was used to make the H2 and the O2?

    3) how much energy output?

    cheers.

    nice welds btw

  • I have a 3 tip burner I keep trying to light but i get flashbacks. Tried stuffing with bronze wool and still flashes back. Does that mean I need to stuff it even more?

  • What is your tip hole size and the amount of hho you are using?

  • I'm using the same heads you are with 1/4" copper. 2 LPM, but maybe it's not enough. I can get a 4 inch flame from a single head, so I thought I could easily light three.

  • What I done was take a hammer and tap on the tips to close the hole up some..if you have .025 tips to use them normal you need approx. 1 - 1 1/2 lpm per tip ...2 lpm with 3 tips will work fine if you close the holes up so they are bout half the diameter of a .025 tip...

  • Ok thanks! That's super helpful. I will try it tonight and see if I can get it to work by closing up the holes some.

  • You were absolutely right. Thanks to your tip of hammering the holes I was able to light the 3 tip burner. Thanks for the help!

  • get about 8 LPM bud, and you'll have a great stove. Nice work.

  • how fast can ya git giant plate of biscuits and gravy going ? thats what I'm talkin about

  • after you put a biscuit tin over it then use it to scramble the eggs. my point being that this gas is unique and therefore when comparing it to other gas cookin or electric cooking you must include all of it properties and take advantage of them to yeild your results.i think the same idea but with some mesh

underneith as well to really absorb the flame!

  • the best thing about hho is that you do not need air to burn this gas.

my point being is that you should put a biscuit tin right over the complete burner and then you will get no heat loss at all. regards andy

  • Yes I agree , I have done a few test with the flames closed off and trapping all the heat it works even better ...I plan to do this on this burner ,and make it when ya sit a pot on it it will be completely closed off..its still a work in progress

  • i think you have to do water boiling to get an accurate test.either boil or even more accurate boil over as this happens within a moment but water boiling is hard to detect when you would class it as starting. maybe the start of small bubbles could be the measure but i think with a lid on and it boiling over would be really accurate.

  • When i get this thing completed i will be doing a a btu test with water , I know a guy that can figure all that ...

  • Great ! I love HHO applications but , where is your FBA ? there is a lot of HHO at the copper pipes .....

  • I dont use flashback arrestors , I have a bubbler with a reset valve ...

  • @jdcmusicman but if your flame burns into the copper you then have a small copper pipe bomb..

also the heat output would be much better with more pressure or flow those flames are tiny

  • True but that has never happened ...There is approximate 1 - 1 1/2 psi on the burner in this video...That is one reason I rarely have a flashbacks or problems with flame burning in the copper tubing

  • Breakout the beans.

  • i really appreciate your effort in the build but can i just ask why you just did not coil some quarter inch copper tube as plug it at one end with heaps of very small hole burnt or drilled through it.

maybe you have reason and i want to know as i was going to do just that.

  • I main reason is I do not have a drill press , I have some micro drill bits just for that tho...the mig tips are easy and cheap ,and easy to adjust the hole on with a hammer ......I dont have the money to buy a drill press but will get one one day ...

  • nice jd

    keep pushing the boundaries

  • but if the watt's input to generate the HHO were sent to an electrice burner insted,

    wouldent it cook better?

  • Nope, I have done several test and the hho wins..

So far hho wins every time , I have done watt for watt comparisons at 400 - 600 watts ...I will be posting data and videos showing all this soon ....

  • Thats great ! How many Liters a minute are you running ?

  • right here around 2.5 - 3 lpm

  • i like this project-have you tried some sort of ceramic between the pot and the flame tips?

i think it might spread heat better.......

  • I havent tried the ceramic yet , but plan to sometime in the future

  • try a tile or old porcelain plate

  • just a idea, but along time ago to change natural gas to lp, we used to have to drill out the orifice, with really small drill bits, they could be available at any hvac parts house, you should check around, it would be a whole lot easier drilling it than soldiering? just my opinion, anyway great job, you can really use the hho your making.

  • Yeah I have some micro drill bits , I just dont have a drill press yet ....my bit sizes range from 0.025 - 0.012

  • I want my eggs over easy please with a bit of bacon ... some hash browns would be very nice also ...

    I love it ... great project ...

  • Order Up! ....

  • wow bro thats bad as

  • thanks man

  • How much gas and wattage are you using there?

  • i didnt do a test , but just guessing no more than 450 watts maybe 3 lpm ......i will be posting some more videos with data sometime this , i was just showing it off as far as looks go on this one

  • 450w X 6mmw should give ya 2.7 lpm. I'm kinda surprised all them tips are staying lit. Even with one tryin to go out on ya, that is impressive.

  • The lowest I have had 19 tips burn is 2.3 lpm , really small flames ...this is pretty much same as the other 19 tip burner , just done it with copper , its actually the same tips from the other one ..

  • i like how you followed the price and not the plan as they say ,, thats a good habbit

check the price it takes time but saving money with tricks like that is a skill

  • When the job aint holding out that good , ya have to use what ya have ....If I had the money I would make a really nice and neat professional looking cooker

  • Comment removed

  • Nice

  • thanks

  • Hard to tell from the vid, whats the outer dimensions of the entire burner, I'm guessing 6 x 6 or so. Looks big enough to grill on.

  • its 4 1/2 " x 4 1/2"

  • Perfect burner size, that's just a tad bigger than my natural gas stove burners.
