kinda obvious, since Pikante isn't exactly in a self-powered battle arena, unlike Kaliente was in his lava pools and such! not to mention has to be carried around in a fireball/watermelon shooting tank for the whole battle! honestly, a king would train his son better than that! xD

@Overhazard i meant by their environment. with the King, you can accidentally get killed by the lava pool if you aren't too careful. but i guess its no difference to the lava puddles in this battle, so yeah! xD

there's a huge shortcut at the beginning. Once you get the cloud at the beginning, do a long jump over the hole before the volcano. Make a cloud and repeat 2 more times. Finally do a long jump and you should land in the lava. Of course, you lose 1 life, but if your close enough, you can jump into the star lancher. You come out with 2 lives, and it saves a lot of time

@XxEastEndersChloexX The cloud suit just makes Mario's jumps more floaty, so the jumps seem longer. It's stilla normal long jump.

Prince Pikante kind of reminds me of Joe from Family Guy. Both are forced to go around in a wheelchair (or a device similar to one), and both seem to have a short temper and an explosive nature when angered. lol

I'm a huge novice here btw, and this may sound stupid, but at the beginning when you have the cloud power thing, how do you do such long jumps. I know how to do the normal long jump - is it just that? :) Also, thank you for all these videos, they're really helpful for people like me hahaha :)

@XxEastEndersChloexX You perform a long jump by pressing Z when Mario is running, then pressing A before Mario stops. Don't let go of the control stick, or it'll become a backwards somersault.

Hey! Did you know there's an easter egg in this galaxy? If you enter first person view at Prince Pikante's planet and look at the cliffs in the background, you can spot three shilouettes!

Also, I can't find any teleporter in this galaxy. Aren't they supposed to appear in every galaxy except boss galaxies?

Totally random, but do you think that Prince Pikante is meant to be King Kaliente's son? They are both squids that shoot fireballs and melons, and Kaliente and Pikante mean the same thing: hot/spicy.

@morninglighttrail I think they are. There's no in-game evidence that says they are, however.

@Overhazard There is no evidence, but I think the creators of SMG2 made Prince Pikante based on King Kaliente, apart from the tank (which I think kind of ruined the SMG fun).

The boss is probably my least favorite boss concept in the game; Squizzard and that one Flipsville boss (what the devil is it supposed to be?) are right after.

@morninglighttrail Alhtouhg I'm not entirely sure what you mean, I'm not talking about it in terms of difficulty, but in terms of concept... I mean what the devil is Glamdozer supposed to be? At least other bosses have a coherent concept, but glamdozer is... a fat yellow thing.

If you mean it's not that hard to remember its name, then yeah you're right; I just didn't know it until about a week ago.

@Breludicolo The only thing that Glamdozer could be related to is a Mandibug (purple bugs with ground-pound symbols on their back), but with an upside-down weakness. Notice the ground-pound symbol on its underbelly. And I think Glamdozer is female, not male.

@Overhazard There's something really freaky here. If you look in 1st person mode at the top of the cliff to the left, you see three little figures. It's pretty scary, actually.

@morninglighttrail A Pupdozer is a creature found in Flipsville (and only in Flipsville). They're dinosaur-looking things with spikes on their backs. Mario (or Luigi) can only defeat them when they crawl onto a flip-grate and the brother butt-stomps the grate.

Oh yeah, and these Octoombas can sure take the heat. I mean, they appear and disappear behind lavafalls as the platforms that they're on move. You can see a couple other quarks about them in 2 different galaxies that Overhazard has already uploaded videos on, namely Beat Block Galaxy and Clockwork Ruins Galaxy.

For Prince Picante's battle, I didn't skate all that much. Didn't have to, or want to for that matter (unless he's close). I ground pounded the ground to cancel out of skating, though as we can see from this video, you can also stop skating by doing a spin in midair, as we see at 2:52.

As for the galaxy itself, I liked how they mixed the fire and ice elements together. Certainly better than Freezeflame Galaxy, though sadly, it's also much shorter.

I found that when I did this mission, I was extremely creeped out by Prince Pikante's sounds. I was expecting something like his father, in terms of sounds.

Wow, this is argueably much better than Freezeflame. I hated that place, it was annoying because it was all just ice until episode 3. The Ice and Fire Flowers were cool, but they definitely could have been used in much better ways.

The Bedroom was my least favorite area, and I actually got enough power stars to do Bowser's Dark Matter Plant without beating any of the missions in there.
