To you, jazz drumming might not seem so complex because you probably never got deep into it and probably never listened to enough good jazz. I guarantee you a metal only drummer would not me able to play in a jazz band. So instead of arguing over who would be better you should realize these are two entirety different styles that cant be compared

@homermoo767 Hardest thing in jazz is COORDINATION and feel. Playing different, enough complicated for human drummers, time signatures. Now think that every stroke has different dynamic level, accents on a variety of ways, with complete independence between two hands AND the bass drum and hi-hat which may be loud or silent as you know. Then... try to hold the groove and play fills.

don't get me wrong, I think both drummers are absolutely amazing. It's just that I used to think that Inferno was the best hands down. When I started listening to Nile, I really wasn't sure anymore. They are both highly technical and speedy drummers with bullet precision and complex patterns, I'm not sure if I could decide between the two.
