  • i like the c/s but i bought a regular gt. the c/s comes with a little more power but nothing to brag about. throw an intake on a gt and u even the playing field. it would still be nice to own a special edition car though

    I think you got confused with the Mustang Bullitt. The GT & GT/CS are both rated at 300 HP & 320 TQ... The Bullitt is rated at 315 HP & 325 TQ and it has 3.73 gearing versus the GT & GT/CS's standard 3.31 and optional 3.55 gearing. I'm sure you know this by now being your comment was a year ago. Just in case, I decided to leave this comment. Enjoy your mustang!!

  • ah my dad owns an 08 CS. He added headlight splitters, sequential tail lights, quarter panel window scopes, and Gt500 pedals. Did you guys know that the CS was suppose to mean Carrol Shelby, bcuz every CS represented that it was a look alike to the Shelby,but instead they named it California Special, bcuz it was built in California.

  • I got an 08GT/CS with Steeda CAI, Steeda underpullys, BBK throttle body, Ford racing 4.10's and a Brenspeed tune. I will be posting a vid in the next month or 2, i'll come back here to leave a link or search name............it is a sick car.

  • thats tight. i've got an 07 GT/CS with a steeda CAI, 4.10's, and and SCT programmer and i love it. what did you think of the underpulleys and throttle body? i've been considering them for a while..

  • I took the throttle body off, it made problems and to be frank I did some research and the stock throttle body allows the maximum air into the engine as any other one. The underpullys are nice but only if you put them with what you already have, so I would do that. buy them self they do nothing. I just got some Brola axel backs though they sound real nice. Get a tune from Breenspeed they are great and really bring the car alive compared to other tunes.

  • Yes 80 MPH in a government truck and never once was ran off the road. I'd say the average speed in the left lane is 80-100. The autobahn is not all it's cracked up to be and there are speed limits on it in alot of places believe it or not.

  • the gt/cs also has a special pony cover over the top of the motor, and some air diffusers in the front and rear

  • I don't think the modern mustang Gt has a govenor, if thats what you mean. The rev limiter is just over 6k on most mustangs but I don't know about these brand new ones yet...

  • @wyldfantasyx the current gt DOES have a limiter.. its 149 for the GT. remove the limiter and it will do 160-170

  • @wyldfantasyx its 149-150 cus iv hit that and still had .5-1k or more left in the gear till redline.

  • I'm not sure. I've heard 150, but I don't know. I have an 07 GT, 5spd with 3.55 rear gears. If I top it out, I will post it, and let you know.

  • i have an 06 roush stage 1 with 3.55's as well, i'm sure it has a speed limiter but they take that away with a tune...130 comes quick...5th gear is too dumpy to race with, so i'd guess around 150. wouldnt go that fast in the stang though =D

  • I have an '08 GT/CS, traded in my '05 GT for it.

    They have identical HP numbers, stock, from the factory.

    You get a little HP bump if you buy a new Bullitt or a Shelby, but you don't make big numbers until you see the Snake.

  • 300hp stock, the gt/cs has 320 hp stock, thats what i have. red convertable gt/cs 5spd :)

  • The GT/CS has 300 bhp, just like the GT.

    Everything about the engine is the same.

  • there's no power difference between the the two GT's. each engine does produce different power but i don't think you put out more than what's ever said.

  • The CS stands for California Special..its body is the only thing thats different from the regular gt

  • Well one of the things thats different on the engine that mine has and the reg. GT don't have is a bigger intake!DOES THAT NOT GIVE A HP GAIN??ok i thought so!And some of the other things are 2 tone leather seats that the GT/CS has that the reg GT dont have!holla back if u need any more info!!!!

  • the Cs has the same power as the Gt, but theyre not the same. for me, you just cant compare a CS to a Gt. take it as the Cs in a different class above the Gt just by a little...
