@3mmans17 It's a she, not a he. And probably not the best idea to take a 12 week old puppy outside in freezing weather unless you have to (potty), so the multiple layers aren't for show, they're for precaution against a tiny, sick puppy. No telling how cold it was there.

Well i moved and now i'm renting a house with my family and i can't have my shiba with me. owner of the house said so. and i miss her. her name is jinx. i miss her a lot. i cant be with her this christmas. :*( god bless all of ur dogs and have a very very merry christmas and a happy new year. hope u all get what u want!

I live in Jackson hole, (very dog friendly)and yep, he runs behind me in my tracks. for some reason my shiba has always been off the leash. from day 1. no fences and an open door. especially when we are on an adventure...he never strays far off the trail, even when chasing chipmunks, marmots, birds...you name it. He is so much fun. Of course he is on lead when i take him to town (for his own safety and it is the law).

My shiba, Aki, who just turned 1, loves to come Alpine skiing with me in the backcountry! never needed shoes, but ice/snow does build up so you have to be a little careful on big days. even in the summer when we hike to where snow is still in patches, he freaks out rolling around and playing.
