I was at that concert and then watched the awesome Youtube broadcast several times before they yanked it and the only version was the official DVD, which I bought. All I can say is that the guy who edited that disc should be fired (or shot). Everything out of order, and no shot lasted longer than 4 seconds I think it's unwatchable and a travesty. I'll go see them again live in June and get the real experience rather than the edited version.

Iv listened to the DVD and the way people thought Bono's voice was bad. Il admit it was one of his weaker vocal prformances of the tour. The echo makes him sound terrible on night when he was gravelly but still pretty good.

Jeez. Bono is really struggling to sing live these days. This is plain bad! He obviously can't handle the large stage performance any longer. He's buggered!! Amazingly, Jagger still does it so effortlessly!
I think we can all agree that Bono and Jagger aren't anywhere near the same in the sense that Bono does more as a singer than Jagger who (and not to put down his music cause the Stones are awesome) keeps his singing style mostly monotone in terms of range. Lets hear him sing "Moment of Surrender" and see how effortless that sounds...
Being there was absolutely amazing, just feeling the comradary of over 100,000 people that feel the same passion for their music as I do. During this song, a few rows below me, there was this gentleman that you could tell was really in the moment and had a lot of positive emotion. Another fan embraced him in a hug during the song and it was a very heartfelt moment I wont forget. You are not "a hopeless case" sir, wherever you are. God Bless.

the echos sound awful but I'm guessing it was because since this was captured from a live broadcast they weren't able to filter and do a better audio mix... hopefully the sound on the DVD and Blu-Ray will be better.... can't wait for the Blu-Ray!!! :D it was about time U2 released a Blu-Ray concert!!
I'm not a fan of circular stage concerts, it affects the sound dynamics, i have the same problem with the Timberlakes Future Sex/ Love Show blu ray, the sound was pretty aweful. Not to mention, Bono isn't really in top vocal form here. As it stands, my favourite U2 concert will always be 2001 Boston Elevation.

@newdawn69 This was actually the sound capture for this Youtube live broadcast. I went to two of these 360 shows and the sound was flawless, I mean perfect! You might get some echo on the nosebleeds but even that woudn't be as bad as this makes it seem. The sound mixers really blew it here. Watch amateur clips for this same show and there is no echo.

@breachmania The echo came from the big location i think, and this concert was live on youtube so they haven't enough time to mix or master the sound - i think thats the problem.
The echo is a combination of digital reverb added to the vox, the front of house sound bleeding into the mic and also bouncing off the Rose Bowl and back at the stage.
whoever did the sound for this show sucked ass you can't even here the edge it just ruins it whats with the out of time echo on his voice jeezus I hate when great bands go to waste like this
What a complete let down this tour was. £100 tickets, same set list every night, most fans watching the screen as they're to far away to see the band, Red Zone tickets going to the rich and not the real fans, Bono talking shit about politics. U2 still produce great music, but they're a business now not a rock n roll band which is a terrible shame.
I have to say I partially agree with you. Red Zone should be for real fans and I was behind the stage a tiny bit higher than Larry and I couldn't see much. Relied on screens a lot. We were 12th row high from the bottom. There were people lower than we were, I can't imagine they saw anything at all! I don't think they should have sold those seats lower than where I was. I am a U2 fan though.

I love U2's music, probably nobody better at what they do. But i'm sorry, Bono is a complete gobshite. The last 90 seconds of this video prove my point.
It was a good performance, just it dragged towards the end with the snippet/speech/soul part. Its becomming a bit annoying with bono nowerdays, just play the song how it should be played, instead of killing it with loads of snippets ect. I dont mind the soul part, but waffling on saying america we love you just wrecks the song.
I think you missed it on that one. He's saying that America has recently been out of step with the rest of the world. America is the heart of the world and should join the rest of the world.

there's a bad echo on Bono's voice during all the song.
His voice is almost inaudible at the beginning of each chorus, then much too loud, then too low, and then almost ok for 3 seconds.
Should i go on with all recording problem on this song? I love U2, but the sound quality of this video is sh##, period.

It was a good performance, just it dragged towards the end with the snippet/speech/soul part. Its becomming a bit annoying with bono nowerdays, just play the song how it should be played, instead of killing it with loads of snippets ect. I dont mind the soul part, but waffling on saying america we love you just wrecks the song.
