  • Classic. So cool on so many levels was Pauls Boutique...a true masterpiece. This was from the golden age of hip hop when the genre was groundbreaking with true visionaries like the Beasties, PE, KRS 1, TCQ, Eric B and Rakim, etc...

  • LIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

  • This is state-of-the art of the time of multi-sampling in hiphop that dominated the late 80's. This particular track is a MAGNIFICENT "sound collage" masterpiece. Listen to how all those different samples and scratches match, fit and melt together into this one tune.

This "Dust Brother featuring Beastie Boys" project was simply genius. It never got any better than this with this particular form of hiphop. Some said then that it was just ripping off others music - but it's actually art this way.

  • this is so old

  • MCA looks so uncomfortable during videos. He just doesn't know how to move like Mike D and Ad-Rock. And what's with showing us his trainers from 50 angles?? :)

    Awesome tune though :D

  • @jrussell84 Jews cant dance u know (-;

  • thier the bees knees

  • @JesusJack4x4 these boys are definitely a hip-hop group, so rap.

  • 38 people that disliked this video have no idea what real idea what real hip hop is

  • back in the 80s rappers wore cool clothes :)

  • 38 people don't like having fun.

  • They are so fucking original and NOT gay like half the rappers out there right now. Wish I could hear em live.

  • Paul's Boutique is a creative masterpiece

  • It´s a song for the top 100 ever

  • i like m.c.a's goatee

  • the cat on the turn table lol

  • @bossauce809 That's DJ Dizzy Cat lol :)

  • heck yea this is real rap music! Music today just talks about howmany girls they have, their money and gold chains which is plain dumb to me how they become so rich and famous by saying "what it look like... money, what it smell like... money..." pure BS

  • This song is pure fucking genius. I could listen to it all day everyday. The Beastie Boys are kings.

  • shake your tokus

  • Gotta say this was good I listened cause eminem said this one of his favorites growing up an well I see why. Amd my has the rap game changed very few rap with purpose any more any true meaning Eminem one of the few

  • THIS IS MORE THAN RAP- they took their punk roots and did lyrics with a rediculous sense of humor

  • i miss that bong sample ;D

  • The bass is EXTRAORDINARY

  • my brother told me the other day when he grows up he wants to be a beastie boy (L) hes 21 cute none the less . looove these guys .

  • Ironically that the first time I heard rap that I actually liked liked it turned out to be white people... ;)

  • MCA's beard is FRESH.

  • this is when hip hop took real talent

  • Man that bass riff is outrageous.

  • Got arrested at the mardi gras for jumping on a float

  • 0:18/0:23

  • the coolest white boys known to man :D

  • the clothes. HAHA - I'm not a native english speaker. How slang is "rump"?

  • @Mixarenan Rump means butt, ass, booty, boomkam

  • To all you young people who think that "rims" , "ice" , "grillz" , and auto tuners make you a hip-hop artist, most of your favorite "musicians" today learned all they know from these guys.

Get with the roots of the genre people. This is the real deal

  • @GinGVegas Personally, I wouldn't wanna say all the stupid fucks repping "rims", "ice", "grillz" learned anything from these guys or any other group/artist of thist ime.

If they did.. Well, I'm fairly certain there'd be better music today.

I think it's more likely they DIDN'T learn anything from these guys.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow I would agree with that.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow the lesson taught doesn't always coincide with the lesson learned...

  • @GinGVegas So F*uck1n True!

  • rappers these days need to go back to the roots of rap...

rap isn't about "fukin bitchez" and "shootin' niggas"

    comon...

  • people say rap is when people talk about girls, grills and cars but no. this is the real stuff

  • it reaaaally blows that now we're stuck with fucking flo rida and akon. what happened to muuusic like this!?

  • Please grab your crotch some more. ha ha lolol

  • White socks, fuck yeah.

  • Fisheye Lense :3

  • these dudes are fly.

  • why can't the awesome turntable part from 1:55 to 2:14 be on the album version? :(

  • I feel the Beastie Boys are being racist by rapping. And for being white.

  • The beasties... Their shit will never get stale....

  • Paul's Boutique was one the best rap albums ever.

  • awesome.....

  • 1:55 rocks my face.

  • runnin from the law the press and the parents.

  • is someon know the bastie boys song when they saying at the start i like beatbox? please write that song in pm

  • Lol @ kitty. 1:39

  • Genius! A great video for an awesome song x Yauch is the dude!

  • Paul's Boutique was an excellent album. Retro, way ahead of it's time, if you know what I mean.

  • That goddamn Biz Markie lawsuit damaged rap beyond repair, at least for me. Having to clear every single sample now has curtailed a lot of depth and creativity.

  • @KaneRobot yep , I admire Beastie Boys and Biz to create this masterpiece , but none of (known by me) following albums hadnt such amount of delicious sounds cause after releasing Pauls Boutique started problems with author's laws etc etc . beasties used approx 180 samples on pauls boutique. I learned what is hip hop from Illmatic and Pauls Boutique :D

  • Fuck'n kewl

  • i love the fruit at 3:00

  • How can u not love the Beasties!!!!

  • What does it say behind the crystal ball at 2:12 ? "Bear" something?

  • great album.. probably my favorite

  • zajebiste , wyjebane w kosmos:)

  • ROFL, the fruit and screaming was AWESOME!!!

  • Love the instrumental of this even more... Hip Hop... This is Hip Hop....

  • contributed hard. props. KNIBS_MAIN OFFENDERS CREW

  • amen.

  • one of the fuckin best beastie boys songs.

this is the evidence that white people can make good hip hop

  • no1 said they couldnt.....em is one of the best rappers ever, Beastie Boys are legends in my book.

  • @worthlessburger7 look up "go on" by B Reith, that's good white boy rap too, kind of hip-hop

  • @Mr4johnson4 the beasties invented white hip hop !

  • @Mr4johnson4 cuz they arent white wash maybe

  • @Mr4johnson4 not "good", more like "the best"

  • @Mr4johnson4 dont even play that sh.t one of the best hip hop songs ever. white black whtever. the inovation used on this album(emu sampler, loops, sampleing)blows all the 808 4 track rap, that was around, out the water. set new expectations for hip hop production. only downfall, only helped put the dj out the pic. but the bboys are just about only mainstream hip hop group w/ a dj

  • @Mr4johnson4 they can make the best according to this

  • @Mr4johnson4 Hey man, no one said white boys couldn't flow. The Beasties are the shiznik and they blow f'n m&m away

  • @Mr4johnson4 white people + angel dust

  • @Mr4johnson4

    Cough Cough eMInEm... :)

  • and long live BB

  • 90's. the world will never be the same again.

  • this was the 80's, dude

  • or was this after Busta??

  • @cameljoe04 before busta

  • Busta was still eating government grilled cheese sandwiches. BB 4eva!

  • Lol @ Camel you must be a very young person. As an elder let me tell you that this WAY before Busta Rhymes.

Just look at the date. This is 1989. Not even the 90's yet. Are you not paying attention?

Busta didn't start until 1991 with his group Leaders of A New School (4 members including himself).

As for WHOO HA (All In Check) that isn't until 1996.

  • I believe the "Whoo Haaa" is from some old Grandmaster Flash/Sugarhill gang jam. I´m quite sure of it, even though I cannot remember the track...

BB forever. Shake your rumpa. From when hip hop was alive and kept people alive. And how many samples are in this track? I believe it´s round 50 samples. From when hip hop was a real enviromental and fresh style of music.

  • 125 samples.

  • Even better:-)

  • my bad, 125 on the album, probably 6 or 7 on the track.

  • wait was that woohah i got you all in check hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so busta better than the beastie boys RIGHT???!!!!!

  • fuck you!! you also said f3tch was heavily influenced by soundgarden and shit in another video you bigmouth prick

  • And Bboys Lovin It Everywhere (H)

  • Yo, it's Solo reppin Rochester, NY.. hollar atcha

  • is your name micheal diamond? no mines clarence

  • Paul's Boutique is my favorite record of all time. I had a yellow cassette when it came out and played it so much that it literally broke. The part where it says EZ Mike Libra, it originally had his phone number insted of Libra. I called him and we spoke for about 20 minutes. He was cool on the phone then he turned into a dick. He said Pauls Boutique was all Dust Brothers and that the Beasties had no talent. License to Ill and Paul's Boutique, Beastie Boys at their best.

  • The Beasties are da shit

But MCA looked like a bum

  • this is old school ^^

    amazing song!

  • the beat alone is bananas

  • This is real music. That rap shit nowadays is all the same.

  • @aksuroni agree. completely.

  • amps on acid... da bomb!

  • @aksuroni Amen brother

  • mad lyrics and no one gives a shit about what shit ya listen to.

  • Amazing!

  • My friend's always make assumptions that I listen to little wayne and such just because I'm black but I prefer Beastie Boys more. I always listen to rock, metal, techno, alternative, and such. I don't like reggae, rap, hip hop, and country...

  • @NewbieGuitarr Good man.

Though I have nothing against reggae and rap, metal always wins.

  • nobody realy gives a shit you know..

  • @matkurbatismotana And you think people care about you?

  • well I'm quite sure that they don't and I'm happy about it (:

    p.s.

you don't need to write @whateverthenameoftheguyis all the time.. retard

  • Wow, nice one there!

Calling me a retard because I can't be arsed to remove it :O

  • because no one is wanting true talent...just garbage ass gimmicks

  • why is rap so awful these days?

  • dude this was made in 1989!

  • ya i know lol, i was saying rap was amazing back then and it sucks ass now, i wasn't saying the beastie boys suck

  • ah i see =P

  • One of the top 10 best rap albums ever!

  • get well soon adam yauch...see you first in 1987 at hammersmith odeon on def jam tour..loved you guys ever since.

  • word.... healing and love energy to Mr. Adam Yauch!

  • I love Beastie Boys since waaay back, what i like i most is that you can always hear its them.. it has to do with their raw rugged unpolished sounds i think

  • woo ha, got them all in check!

  • WTH, where is the explosive bong hit?

  • i love the cat on the turntable part

  • This is an unsung classic!

  • Saw em in Kalamazoo and when they played this the show was _on_--they had to stop the concert because ppl were climbing on stage and jumping off it (one guy off a high amp stack)

Band: We can't have ppl climbing on stage and jumping -- "Like that" (amp jumper)

  • paul's boutique was the best record they did imo,but all their shit bangs

  • i love the super 90's graphics XD

  • that's end of 80s xD
