  • you are a beautiful rider with a beautifully built horse:)

  • :) could I please use the fall clip in a video im makig? :) i will credit you and send you the finished video :Dx brilliant riding btw!

  • @sugarismyhorse Sure! Message me when it's done! :)

  • goed opgelost

  • wow great job sitting to the playing from the horse I would have fallen off about two billion times just in that vid wow

  • that is a beautiful indoor ring

  • You're such a brave rider you just get right back on and don't let it phase you! Good job :)

  • How you riding, oh my god!! You riding so bad!

  • @SuperSmothie Your grammar is worse...trust me.

  • How many horses do you own?

  • Looks great, I think one thing though is that you need to quiet your leg and heel at the canter and your upper body. Besides that, great!

  • @Love4Horsezz This was a while ago...I didn't have the time to ride as consistently as I do now. Hopefully you see a difference if you check out my more recent footage. ;)

  • @dragonfly1030 Will do :P

  • She looks like she can be a bit of a handful! She is super cute! Nice riding

  • @vintagebw She tapes at 15.3. So does my gelding, but because she's kind of a slim, athletic build, she looks smaller than he does.

  • @carmelpony2454 Yo, I do that all the time! The 5 star system of rating was so much better!! Wish they kept that!

  • beautiful horse:)she seems very high spirited 2 me! how old is she?

  • @RustyandCaine Haha, that she is!! She is now 8 years old and still has occasional moments of silly or spastic behavior. For the most part, she is becoming more focused. :)

  • clue seems like a very high-spirited mare! but she is very pretty

  • how old r u?

  • @Awsomebreyerlover 29 years old

  • she is a cute horse. you rode her really well...

  • Your an amazing rider :) I love your horse to :)) My horse did exactly what clue did at 0:18 but he landed on the jump but ya he over jumped with his front... it was funny until i realized he broke our pole xD

  • Great riding. If you give a little more over the jump is he just as fussy or worse?

  • @akualtekefan She was just worked up because these were some of her first courses since being reintroduced to jumping--she was a little nervous and trying to get rushy, then overjumping, then jumping sideways, lol. Then she got mad if I didn't manage to stay with the more "special" jumps. Fortunately we've figured things out and made progress since then!

  • what barn do u ride at i am in need of a new barn!!!

  • @horse4ever1999 I was at On Course Riding Academy, which is a great facility (financially, my job situation changed slightly so I couldn't afford board on 2 horses there anymore). I'm now at Stepping Stone Farm. In the video, this is On Course.

  • @shrockoutloud Yes.

  • your REALLY good!!!!!! Luv your horse!!! very cute! i think you did great with him! looks like he was haveing fun! great job!!!!!!!! =))))))))))))0

  • THAT HAPPENED TO ME LAST LESSON!!

another horse aimed a kick at my horse's head, and she took off bucking and i landed far up her neck and really didnt have time to regain my balance before she threw me another one and i flew off. it didnt hurt at all though which was good :)

  • Your horse is soo pretty! And you ride really good even when she's misbehaving.

  • Do you know how amazing of a equastrian rider you are!!?? I mean your riding skill and movement with yur horse is very good! I have a uncle who knowss much about horses!

  • @Horses101Rock Thanks. I still have much to learn!

  • What a great lesson!!! so much progression!!..... she looks like a really funny horse!!! so much life!! lol

  • ur really good at riding, and u have a really cuteee horse! how long have u been riding? and where? i promise im not a creeper it just looks like that barn has made u into a good rider :)

  • @showjumperluvr4 I've ridden at a number of different barns with all different instructors. I think they all have influenced me in some way.

  • @dragonfly1030 thats cool how long have u been riding?

  • HOLY COW

man that horse looks really hard to ride. your amazing at handleing him.

id love to see you on a easy going horse, you'd KILL!

  • @christy437879 She's wonderful, but she can be opinionated. I think it comes with her being quite clever, which is a quality I appreciate. :)

  • are you still riding duncan?

  • @zootycoon2freakgirl At the time of this video, I believe, Dunc was still down in FL. He has been back in work, but I've not had time to make videos lately.

  • that's a pretty spry QH you have there,,,, mine is pretty sleepy, but she likes to jump too (and give me a few surprises now and then) :p nice video!

  • @617Tora Thanks!

  • thats a beautiful arena! what stables do you ride at?

  • @Lonaart This is the barn I used to ride at. See comments below.

  • Hey. Is that at on course riding academy? I bought my horse from there. :) the barn really nice.

  • @dhess73095 Yes

  • You're a really good rider. (: and when the horse fails at a jump it seriously fails, hehe the first one is funny. :L

  • @MegaPixiee Haha. This was very early in our lessons. She's so confident now, my job is mostly to stay the hell out of her way! :) Thanks!

  • ur really good at dealing with that horses stubborness

  • that pony is really pretty! i love bays :) you ride really well ! i havent started yet, but im going to start jumping soon. any tips?

  • @LucyIsMyLife Be patient, be willing to learn (ie. listen to your instructor, even when frustrated), and do a LOT of work without stirrups at the walk, trot, and canter--it helps! :)

  • What breed is she? Is she a arabian? And nice job getting on after that fall! Im starting to jump soon (finaly) after 6 years of riding.

  • @CheerioLove101 She is a Quarter Horse. Thank you! Congrats.

  • is she yours?

  • @romeoiona Yes.

  • you two are great!

  • @Justasam Thanks!

  • wowww, you ride amazingly!! :D

  • @JockeyRidingHorse Thank you :)

  • tee hee she looks "fun" :D Lovely horse though and you ride her so nicely!

  • @joosiej85 She really is! She's got things pretty figured out at this point. Check out some of our newer stuff. :)

  • Your a great rider!! and my horse looks almost the exact same! his names Sneak! :)

  • @breyergals12 Thanks! Aww that's cool!

  • @dragonfly1030 Your welcome1 and yea hes really nice i have a vid of me jumping check it out if u want to :)

  • Your a very good rider! Is your horse a natural jumper or did u teach it to do that? I wish i could jump that high!

  • @EllaBellagal25 Oh, you're much too kind. She's a good girl and, though we take lessons, she shows natural aptitude. Thanks for commenting.

  • @dragonfly1030 :) I ride a percheron Mare and were starting Hunter Jumping. It's a tad confusing trying to get her to lift her leggs over the poles but she's getting along just fine :)

  • Nicee job riding those bucks, until the fall! Do you mind if I use some of these clips in a video I'm making of my favorite riders on youtube? :)

  • @Spheett Aw, thank you! Sure, that'd be cool--thanks for asking first! ;) Let me know when it's done, I'd love to see it! :D

  • @dragonfly1030 Thankss, and yeah of course! :)

  • Aww shes so cute with her little mareish flipouts! You've such an amazing job with her, and perfect form even while falling haha :) I had a fall today, broke my tailbone!

  • Oh man, sorry to hear that! I had a roomie in college who fell down the stairs and broke her tailbone, and she had to bring an inflatable donut to class to sit on. :-/ I appreciate your comment on my riding! Gotta love the shocked expression as I am on my way off...lol!

  • It is a Fleeceworks wither relief half pad. I use it as an additional buffer for the horses, but if your mare had a sprain, you might want to consider one that's a bit less...floppy? Fleeceworks has some that have a bit more substance to them in their line as well.

  • Wow you handled that very well!! Your a fantastic rider! Beautiful horse!

  • ;D She is just that helping hand as if to say mummy wake up, lol. :D Lovely videos ive looked through a few now. <3

  • ouch that must have hurt i hope your ok!!!oh and btw if anyone has any videos like this or falls or anything bad i have a cometition open now so check it out! x

  • Notice how you started sitting up much better when you had that fall. Great riding, looks like your both doing really well.

    5* stars

  • Sometimes I just need a little sense knocked into me. My mare is always happy to oblige. Thanks! :)

  • You are definitely a fantastic rider! It's nice to see the traditional two-point versus the new fad of basically humping the horses neck going over fences. Great eye as well, always looking a head. You & and your trainer have done well!

    Keep up the fantastic riding!

  • Getting ahead of or perching on this horse = fiery, fiery death. I have learned, painstakingly at times (from both my mare and gelding), to wait until the horse commits to the jump. :) I can't say I don't anticipate sometimes, but taking my lumps has taught me to do it much less!

  • oh wow, she's come so far since the injury!

  • Do you still have Duncan or am I missing something here?

  • Yes I do! :) He is currently down in Florida at my aunt's in a more regimented training program (groundwork/flatwork/possibly being trained to harness!) to help him build up some stamina and muscle. :) My job has been keeping me very busy, so she offered to take him til the beginning of spring to help him work on some skills. She will be mailing a memory card to me, so hopefully I'll have updates on his Florida stuff soon!

  • I love these updates! I can't wait for spring to come so I can start working on my horse again. I took a really bad spill on Oct.22 and fractured my vertabrate and it wasn't fun at all. About 2 days later I decided to ride my friend's horse (only just walking around, not trotting/cantering), so hopefully soon once the spring comes I'll work on my own horse and hope to be riding soon! :)

  • Wow, I am so glad to hear you are able to walk, let alone ride! That sounds so scary. I've had bad muscle spasms in my back recently (not horse related) , and that was bad enough to take me out for a day or two--I really can't picture a fractured vertebrae!! I wish you a speedy and full recovery!

  • Thanks. I'm actually ok, sometimes my back will hurt really bad where I can't do much.

But I'm hoping to ride soon!

  • Ohh my gosh Clue is jumping!! I cannot believe how far this girl has come! She is such a superstar!! One this that is clear, is she is still such a character!

  • Oh yes, my girl still is a very outspoken young woman! :)

  • wow that was a nasty spill...other than that, brill riding and beautiful horse :)

  • Thanks!

  • Ouch! That was a pretty decent landing considering there was really nothing you could do about it. Glad you weren't hurt too bad!

She's quite the trooper and I absolutely love her spunk. You did a great job riding through most of it! Hope to see more of your videos with Clue :D

  • Thank you! This wasn't quite as bad as her spree that ended with my broken ankle--I feel like if I pushed her forward a little more, this one was more preventable. I think I also thought she was done when she had a couple more up her sleeve. ;) Regardless, I'm just glad I stayed in one piece this time. More to come!

  • If i understand her story right shes came a long way!

    -KJ

  • Oh, definitely! She was literally on the verge of being euthanized in 2007. Thank God it didn't come to that.

  • Aw, she looks so proud of herself!

The first line you jumped and the last one were beautiful. Well done!

  • Thank you very much! She's so much fun to ride, and I'm learning so much from my time with her...hopefully, that's working both ways. In other news, I need to spend more time with the mechanical bull at the local country western establishment...I'm clearly being outclassed a little here by my mare, lol.

  • Absolutely Amazing..she has such a life story...thank to you :)

Can't wait to see her progress!

  • Thank you! I'm currently catching up on your footage! :)

  • i'm STILL in awe that Clue is jumping again! i can't imagine how you feel! lol who can blame her for looking funny at fences? if i remember correctly she was pretty early in her jumping career when she got hurt. she's doing amazing! and you're doing amazing with her! it must be so weird jumping her after all this time on duncan - they're such different movers! hahah and leave it to clue to let you know when she's not happy about something - and then drop you on the ground! i'm glad you're ok :D

  • Haha, my mare always is perfectly happy to communicate her feelings. :) I am constantly amazed by her. Sometimes she gets worked up and excited, but once she understands what she needs to do, she's all business. Yeah, where she was when I started her over fences had the same jumps in the same places all the time for the most part, so there weren't any "surprises." I love the fact that the trainers here are constantly adding new elements and mixing things up!

  • Btw, yeah, Dunc and Clue are night and day--two totally different jumping styles, ways of moving, and bucking styles, haha. Dunc is a LOT easier to sit out, lol! When Clue bucks, it is nothing short of apocalyptic. :-0

  • Haha well her willingness to speak her mind just adds to her personality :D And i agree, it's great that they're always adding and moving elements around. I'm sure it comes in really handy when you're showing somewhere new :)

  • wow she looks so good! what was funny about that one was that it seems like she the ones that have just a flower box were the ones she over did but the white one with the red flowers looked like it was a fuller one and she didnt even blink!

  • Haha, that would be because we schooled the poinsettia fence on a different day. I thought she might have a major cow about it, so I had pulled the red flower filler pole out and used it as a trotting pole--much to my surprise, she didn't care. She'd at least seen that element before, but even the first time she did, she didn't react. You just never know sometimes!

  • awesome riding! you really handle her well.

  • Thanks! :)

  • Look at her go! You must be so proud; I know I would be.

P.S. I love all the flags hanging on the walls. :)

  • Thanks! I definitely am! I like the flags, too--it adds some nice color and international flair. :)

  • yah that is awsome that she saved clues life.what was it like when you got duncan and clue.i want a buckskin horse really bad.when did you get duncan and clue

  • Ouch, glad your OK. You guys look great and she sure is cute. Quite the little spitfire though, huh? lol

  • Thank you! You bet!

  • Great to see she is doing well. I love the fact clue does goat leaps at times. And dunc makes cat bounds.

  • If there was a class called "Creative Jumping Over Fences," my crew would all be Olympic level by now, especially Duncan. :)

    Thanks!

  • wow I only just noticed this! what an ace fall there! Poor you :( she's looking soooooo good and that leap was hysterical :D looking gooood :D

  • Thanks! My husband remarked when I had him watch the video about how close I came to getting a nice face smash on her poll when she awkwardly leaped the fence. What saved me was putting my hands forward on her neck to brace so I didn't tip any farther forward--glad I did!

  • a face smash would NOT be very good :) I miss riding sparky horses- Crissie does look like a donkey at the moment...Hoping to get some a) spurs and b) the arena fixed so i can get c) more footage :D xx

  • Bummer, hope things get sorted out for ya! The weather and my schedule are my two biggest demons right now...neither of which I can control much. :-/

  • I am so used to seeing you ride Duncan, that it's hard to see you switch to riding clue haha

  • Aww! Well, they're both my four-legged children, hehe.

  • this is a site I never thought I'd see after that awful video where you didn't know how things would turn out, the spunk is what makes her Clue, the tenacity is what makes it you... it's wonderful to see

  • I hear ya! I look at each day and ride with her as a gift. Thank you so much for your comment.

  • WOW! looks like she made a full blown recovery! and you never know what your gonna get with her :) great jumping, you guys will make major improvement, i can tell!

  • Thanks!

  • I love Clue! You just never know what you're going to get with every ride, huh?

It looks like Clue and Lexi are at a similar point in training, getting stronger and more formed but still working on confidence some. She looks great, by the way!

  • Lexi has been looking wonderful over fences--you guys are doing such a great job with her! Lexi's another one with an innocent face. ;) Every now and then, Clue manages to sneak a surprise in there--surprise, you're on the ground again! :)

  • Thanks! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to jump her since December 15th. The farrier has been neglecting the horses, and her shoes are way to loose for jumping, or much of anything right now. She just won't throw them off herself, and the only day the farrier did show Lexi refused to be caught. But soon we should be back on track :)

  • Oh my gosh, thats so great the you and clue are jumping again !

Man she has alot of spunk for a QH hah !

Love her little mini kick ups / tail swishes of jumps (:

  • I'm not sure how familiar you are with your QH bloodlines, but I've had a couple of people tell me that horses from the Impressive line have a reputation for being smart and crafty--sometimes in a plotting/troublemaking sense. ;) I can vouch on both parts, lol. (For anyone reading this familiar with Impressive, yes, Clue is N/N.)

  • ha ya clue is so cute though.you are very lucky that you have duncan and clue they are both very pretty.evn though somtimes they can be a little onrey

  • I always feel lucky to have the two of them in my life. The oddest thing of all is that one would not still exist without the other...Duncan's previous owner is the one who pointed me toward Daisy Haven Farm (Daisy is the farrier who saved Clue's life).

  • Wow! Clue definitely had some P&V in her on January 2...but I'm so happy to see how much spunk she has! So wonderful to see her jumping again, and her enthusiasm. You look great up there.

  • Thank you! Once she gets rolling around a course, she's unstoppable (not in the sense of a bolter, but that's she is focused, lol). She always cracks me up with her antics...sometimes, literally... ;) lol

  • Awe! Im so glad shes feeling good enough to jump again! What a lovely girl she is (: Glad you were ok (for the most part) after the spill! Thanks for the update! <3

  • Thank you! Yeah, a few days of soreness is acceptable. Broken bones are not! :)

  • She's a very fast learner. I don't want to push her too far too fast, so I'm letting her kind of dictate the pace...though she seems to be an overachiever type! :)

I am still blown away just considering where we were at in 2007. If you told me I'd be posting videos like this then, I'd never have believed it.

  • Thanks you!

  • Good for you! Ride strong and proud, screw what other people say. You and your instructor are obviously working hard to get both you and your horse places.

  • Amen to that! :)

  • You've guys have really come a long way. She has a beautifull gesture and she looks so happy to be jumping again. You truely are an inspiration

  • Thank you very much; that's very nice of you to say!

  • She's a cute little jumper!! She approaches jumps nice and easy!

  • Thanks! :)

  • she tucks up so cute over fences :P

...and it's amazing how far you guys have come since her injury!! Hopefully in the spring she'll get her energy out in turnout haha, but it's so hard right now with the snow and ice (the thoroughbred I've been riding has similar energy spazzs!)

  • Haha, I hear ya! People actually constantly mistake Clue for a TB, both on YT and in person...especially if they see her when she's being a bit spastic!

  • oh ok i remember when i took a few spills to.but you know one day that it is going to happen.and wow you get alot of people that comment really fast i wist i could have people comment on my videos

  • I think it's just that people like to see my lawn dart impersonations, lol! ;)

  • Its so great to see how much better Clue is doing!! And bravo getting back on! I broke my hand in a jumping accident and it can be so scary getting back on, especially when you have a fall again. You two look great!

  • Wow, I imagine a broken hand has to be really painful--not to mention inconvenient! Thank you for your comment. :)

  • Great riding.. have you ever ended a lesson on either of those jumps?? just curious. it seems like he wants to play, this is why i asked the question, thinking he might be thinking the lesson was over?? nice horse, has some energy thats for sure.. you rode him nice.. :)

  • I could definitely see that being a workable theory, but these were really our first lessons in the indoor. I'd schooled her in there, but usually just flatwork. The one where I got dumped, the standards had been moved to a new location and had different filler. She got me on the second time over. Thank you! :)

  • Do you mean 1/02/10 for the title? (:

Y'all look great! You've done such a great job bringing her back from her injury!

  • HAHA, good catch! Totally fixing that after I'm done writing this to you. Thanks for that! :) Thank you! She is an amazing horse.

  • it's soooooo great to see her jumping again!!! :') awesome fall btw:) haha and your eq is improving so nicely!

  • Thank you! She's got a much different jump from Dunc, so it's taken me a while to fall back into rhythm with her. She uses her hind end much more actively through the arc.

  • Wow [: Big improvment, she's doing great [: It's so great when horses don't jump for years and they come back better.

  • Thank you :)

  • Your fall looked really painful hahah im sorry you hurt your arm but at least its better :D I lovee clues bell boots :D

  • Yeah, at least nothing broke! I can handle some bruises and soreness. :) Thank you!

  • nice video.clue sure was onrey

  • When she's got some extra energy, she let me know! lol I even lunged her before that lesson where I got dumped! :-P

  • shes such a pretty mnover!

  • Thanks!

  • nice :) xxx

  • Thats fantastic that she's jumpign again! Sorry about your fall, glad your better!!

  • Thanks! I'm just glad I didn't break anything this time! :)

  • Ouch that fall didn't look so good! Hope your shoulder is feel better lol :) Clue is looking great -- you're doing such a great job with her. What a wonderful mare she is!!

  • Thank you! Shoulder's just fine--it was only funky for maybe three days. I love my girl!

  • omg that looked painful! lol she seemed a bit . . . fresh to say the least! poor you! hehe she acts like such a mare sometimes! lol

  • Haha, she's definitely built herself quite a reputation for being mare-ish at my barn! She can also be such a sweetheart, though. I can relate--I think Clue and I have the same personality, lol. :)

  • haha i know how that goes!

  • Clue is very pretty(: and you did really good.

My instructor says that your part of the "dirty jacket club" that what she calls it when someone falls off haha.
