Terry ,of course, is one of Gospel music's greatests. I have dozens of cd's with him doing background vocals. Some of the best recordings in the world.
Thank you Terry, for your beautiful rendering of the song, No one ever cared for me like Jesus. Your personal expression of the above song greatly moved upon my heart, bring countless tears to my eyes. I plan on doing this very song for special music this coming Sabbath. I trust the Holy Spirit will likewise move upon my heart, as He obviously did upon your heart. May the Lord continue to richly bless you, as you continue to sing to His glory. Phil.
This song is so emotional for me!!! Everytime I hear this, I convulse into catatonic seizures. This is truly moving, I am sobbing nude at my computer...I'm writing a fat check as we speak...keep singing.....
I believe that's Terry Blackwood singing that timeless, beautiful song on TBN...several years back (Terry looks young). I went to Tennessee Temple Univ in the early 80's and it was still the signature song of the college; I was a music major there. I've moved along stylistically in my music, but that song still moves me in its original, traditional style. Thanks, Terry and thanks Dr. Weigle!
Sometimes after I have been in the Presence of our King I hear a song...that I have to see if its on youtube. Today it was this one. Thank you for adding the story under more info...it completed it.
One of my favorites of all Gospel songs I have heard. I also was privileged to hear Dr. Weigle tell how he came to write the song and then he sang it with such great conviction and heartfelt emotion. Borne out of such great sorrow, but what a blessing these words and melody have been to countless scores of people through these many years. Thanks for posting this song.
The song is wonderful.. Written by Charles Weigle. I remember listening to him sing this song at Highland Park Baptist Church in 1962. I was only 5 years old at the time and he was 91 years old at the time but he would grab the pulpit and sing it LOUD! This is one of my fathers favorite gospel hymns.
My dad had a beautiful bass voice and loved to sing this song. Just weeks before he left us for his heavenly home I awoke from a dream that he was singing this song and it was being played throughout my house. It was a wonderful reminder that God loved him and loves me too.
Ya, I just had this little video on my library and so I thought I'd put it up on YouTube rather than just have it sit on the shelf. I thought it might bless somebody. A positive message, no doubt. Thanks for watching!
A beautiful song and a great performance!

Very beautiful song, and very beautifully sung. I first heard Charles Weigle in the early 1960's when I was a child. Brings back great memories.

This song is so precious to me. When I was going through some inner struggles it was kind of my theme song. Depression is a very real thing.
