@KatAttack61 It's actually not that bad; if you don't slump in your ankles but really stretch them and if you have a good plié, it doesn't hurt... that much. (but don't try it with 'dead' pointe shoes... that ís killing)

@FiddlerAdam You make is seem like its a matter of fact.. Just because it's usually done at a fast tempo doesn't make it esthetically correct or vice versa. According to your logic, since the vast majority of computer users are PC users, therefore PC must be superior to Mac. And, Justin Bieber must be a brilliant musician because the average teen absolutely adores him.

@FiddlerAdam I believe this piece is from the NYC Ballet...a highly revered company, after all... ballet is supposed to be graceful, and fast is usually not very graceful.

This is lovely...but I just saw the christmas production of The Nutcracker by the English National Ballet and it was mind blowing....something to aspire to! The music interpretation is too slow for me here but the dancing is amazing...such elegance and strength...

@FiddlerAdam i agree. I have sat and watched this piece yet peformed it at a much more fast tempo and it is more fascinating to watch, the main thing is these children performed to a high standard and that's all that kind of matters, well apart from the music too.

@FiddlerAdam Okay, i kind of agree with what you said about Tchaikovsky. But at the same time, i didn't find this dull i found it intriguing - but that's my opinion. As for what your saying that is your opinion - i guess we have different thoughts on this particular choreograph (:

@JasmineVlogs I agree with you, to an extent. However, not everyone offers a what is consider a valid interpretation, I am not saying this is not valid. However, at one point interpretations can become, uninteresting and not do the music/choreography any due credit. Tchaikovsky was adamant about musicians following his directions, writing extraordinarly specific instructions, he knew what he wanted, and had good reason for wanting it that way. Interpretation -can- be good, however this was DULL!
