  • 1:52 :D

  • I don't know if you did this purposely, but D and E are both hit at 1:34

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so determined to learn this!! I will try so hard! it's so beautiful!

I'll be back in a week... Saying how badly I failed.

  • 0:01 chopin... made a easy song???

0:20 Omg... of course... i must be dumb.. it IS Chopin who we are talking about here...

  • I love how synthesia makes the music actually look like there's a wind, as well as the sound.

  • Love seeing it this way. Almost convinced I could actually play it. hahahahaha--but it gives you HOPE. Seriously might need the slower speed on this one.

  • @liseetsa1 Haha, that's good. Believing you can do it is very important. However, I would recommend learning pieces such as this from music sheets with proper fingerings. That makes it way more feasible. Good luck!

  • The first few seconds I was like "Hey this is easy" and then I was like nevermindd!!! lol

  • O_O This is ridicules Imposible to play unless you are a machine 0:20

  • @sasukejr40 no, but i cant play it :P. but i saw an 8 year old asain play this :O

  • This is way slower than the original.

  • you know i actually think this one is easier to play than the revolutionary etude. im learning both at the same time and this one may look harder, but revolutionary is way more awkward on your fingers.

  • @TheChemicalGenius no way man, the revolutionary is a cakewalk compared to this. Winter wind is infamous for being one of the most difficult etudes due to the sheer fact that there are so many musical elements going on at once. Plus this video is like 1/2 the speed it's normally played at. =]

  • @PianoPotter Can you play both in their entirety?

  • @TheChemicalGenius i can play revolutionary, not winter wind...

  • Well its a difference of opinion. I have relatively small hands so some of the stretching on the left hand in revolutionary is hard for me, The very active right hand notes are not quite as distant.

  • Shit it's too hard, joking i could play this after some practice.

  • OH MY GOD HOW I LOVW THE WINTER WIND!!!

  • Is this something like Piano Hero?

  • @hawawawawawawawawawa synthesia.

  • my brother plays this song ^.^

  • @silverwindow16 is yur brother asian?? o.o

  • @BangXBig woah. impressive.

  • 0.01

  • 0:00 - 0:10 sounds like backwards star wars? lol

  • Although this looks incredibly difficult, I do absolutely love watching it being played.

  • @AgnusObel me too d(^_^)b

  • from 0:00 to 0:00 is easy!

  • Piano Hero(notreallyjk)!! XD Can you beat THAT on expert?

  • 0:01 Yay, something I might be able to play!!

    0:20 Fuck it.

  • @MrFridaythe17th ahha that comment made my day i said the same thing .. try his preludes some of them are much easier

  • @MrFridaythe17th well, if u looked at the title, then u should have noticed that it said "etude"

  • @MrFridaythe17th lol xD!

  • i can play 0:00-0:20

  • Playing it is one thing, but how the hell did Chopin write that!?!?!

  • @TheAtoms999 i don't know but he probably spent a lot of time working on it. Possibly months or years, but than again, someone like Chopin was pretty gifted. He practically woke up and said "What happens if I put random notes in and see if it works.

  • @rallyabc123 Haha, so true. Naturally gifted. But I guess that's the case with most genius's of music. They sit down and just write something. The notes are in their head and they just put it down on paper. Haha, I wish I could be like that :P

  • @TheAtoms999 Who doesn't!? It would make me feel so much better about myself hahaha.

  • @TheAtoms999 You'd be surprised it's a lot of work. You just don't hear the crappy stuff they write. It's work work work and love. Love of what they do and a deeper psyche than most people. I've always believed people like Chopin are genius because they have the ability to express music. Many people just can't- and they have the best ideas... but no way to express it. Other people are just shallow.

  • @rallyabc123 He actually worked extremely hard. That's probably why he died so early. He's lock himself in his room and then rip all his papers. And be all "No this sucks". He didn't even want the Fantasy Impromptu published. It takes a lot of music theory and imagination. He was amazing. He's probably my no.2 composer. :) The Ballade no. 1 took a year.

  • @lolitaeviston We all know that. It was his ideas and determination to make great music that helped him create this piece. He pretty much revolutionized music. His music was generations ahead of his time and we all appreciate it. I see him as my idol. The main point though is Chopin was a gifted musician with much passion for what he did. This is why we can appreciate him today and think of him as the greatest musician who ever lived.

    1. Chopin 2. Beethoven or Bach 3. Mozart

  • @rallyabc123 I know what you mean! I'm just saying. It bothers me a tad when people act like they just fluff it out or something. Sorry!!! I find him incredible as a human being though :) (and his music, obviously) I think I already listed my favorites...if not 1. Mozart 2. Chopin 3. Racmaninoff and Tchiakovsky 4. Liszt 5. Bach or Beethoven,.... they're all so wonderful it's so hard to pick!

  • Hi I have a request. Can you play Nadia's Theme (Young and the Restless) by Henry Mancini on Synthesia. Cheers!

Give this a thumbs up if you have any taste in music.

  • Hey guys, I've finally developed a new equation.

    Chopin+Etude+Piano= =O

  • Yeah. ONLY play this if you can read

music :) Trying to learn it this way is like trying to juggle 13 balls at once.

  • Lol? This's not level 8 - it's 10. Imo if you can't read music don't play this, you'll ruin your hands and make loads of mistakes thus pyschologically destroying this piece never in your lives being able to play it.

  • ŻEBY POLSKA ... ŻEBY POLSKA ... ŻEBY POLSKA BYŁA POLSKĄ !

  • Well... I could follow till about 0:12... Yeah I suck... Chopin would be awesome at video games! (I suck at that as well...)

  • im pretty sure i need not less than 100 hands to play this..

  • I just finished practicing the right hand to just the first huge run of this song. My wrist is absolutely killing me, but this song is so beautiful. I want to learn the Ocean Etude, too. It will probably require a lifetime, but that's ok.

  • learning my grade 7 piece which is way easier than this alr made my hand ache like hell...

  • My hands started to laugh at me after 0:20

  • all the notes are green, how are we supposed to differenciate btween left and right hand?

  • @donkeykong5646 It's pretty obvious. Just listen.

  • @donkeykong5646 I don't even understand how one is supposed to learn a piece like this on youtube. But if you're following along with music won't it tell you?

  • @MsThisNameIsTaken you dont learn it on youtube. you learn it with the music, the video is just a tool to help you find patterns

  • @TheEmoistKidEver My bad :)

  • That poor right hand.

  • you can definatley hear him toying with the funeral march theme in some phrases.

  • @MrCzecher Have you ever tried to play this? It would probably make you want to kill YOURSELF, too. Imagine the inner turmoil coming from writing it. *Shakes head*

  • What was Beethoven on when he wrote his songs e_O

  • @Kareby1968 lol this piece isnt even by beethoven what were u on when you reply to this?

  • @lmsk222 It's a game. And it's on automatic in this video.

  • Most difficult piano piece ever?

  • At the beginning i was like this looks simple...20 seconds later....... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • chopin had an engine in his wristle

  • Yeah, this totally isnt a hard song.

  • this makes me think of twin dragons xD

  • all i could so was drop my jaw and click to an easier song :'[

  • Umm, on the very Right ¿What kind of piano is that?

  • Its not a hands problem, its a fingers problem, but ill try

  • What site do you dowload the midi files from?

  • this is not how it is supost to be...

  • SICK

  • lol @ inexperienced people wanting to learn this song with Synthesia

try again in 10 years :p its impossible in your first years, its a highly advanced piece that even proffesionals have a hard time with

  • this man deserves only one word: Genius *.*

  • blebleblelbebllblebelbleeeblelbelbllbelbllbelbeebllelblelbel.

  • You have to be pumping your right hand with some speed while playing this

  • this is the hardest song to play on piano hero

  • Why, Chopiiin!!! Why, I said, why?!?!??! Dx

  • This is a bit slow...it should be a bit faster.

  • so fast~~~ i use leg also no enough @@

  • This was chopins "im better then you" etude :p

  • Okay, time to skewer Ganon, save the Princess and go down to the bar and have a pint with Mario...

  • OMG ! this is sooo difficult :D

  • Of course Chopin could play this! Has anyone seen 'Fantasie Impromtu'?! It's unbelieveable! Oh and you are brilliant for uploading this.

  • @JimNoir1 But Fantasie Impromptu looks like 10 times easier to play than this.

  • @SuperSZ Well the beginning is difficult, after that then I agree with you. The middle of Fantasie Impromtu is easier than this.

  • @JimNoir1 I was talking about the beggining (it's a fact that the middle part is easy). I dunno... it's just a sensation, cause I actually play Fantasie Impromptu, and heard this song and thought 'WTF O_O "

  • @SuperSZ Well that's understandable. Everyone sees a song as completely unplayable before they learn it. But then they do, and see it afterwards as piss easy.

This rule applies to everyone and everything. Apart from Circus Galop. Thats just impossible no matter what you do.

  • @JimNoir1 Ok, I will try to play it then in 2011 (as soon as I finish practising what I'm playing now). ... Oh, Ive just searched that song you mentioned, and its obvious that it's impossible because it was clearly not made for just 1 person to play. You may need 4 hands (you must be Goro from Mortal Kombat ... OR play it with another person). There is a song in which you need 4 pianos: /watch?v=VWxg_MLDBCA

  • @SuperSZ Good idea! I hope you find it slightly easy. xD

  • piece of cake until 21 seconds :(

  • I'll die playing this. This is so difficult! D':

  • :O i have nothing to say cause im in shock on how good this is..... :O

  • thanks alot i can do it now

  • In 1 hour I've reached the 54 second mark

  • Could you please make a slowed-down version? That would be very helpful!

  • @TheYellowSubmarine13

just saying, this actually is the slowed-down version... the real version goes insanely fast

  • omg cant believe u can play this... even my piano teacher who played piano since he was 4 still have trouble playing it and hes like 30!!! well he messes up a bit on when ur supposed to go down the piano.... well i cant play it at all but i can play it on my baritone and trumpet XD

  • one of my most regarded songs...

even though i know basically almost all piano songs in back then...

  • Yeah this is possible. When I visited Chapman U's open house a guy from the piano department played this.

  • i wonder if Chopin mastered music theory, wrote this out almost like a math equation, and thought "i wonder who will be able to play this song?" Chopin is a genius......

  • @honkindonkey this is possible without a math equation, but perhaps bach used equations

  • this program is amazing! :O

would be so nice if there was one for ocarina XO

  • lol

  • A clavinova should have some sort of USB port to connect it to your computer. Just use the kind of cable you use for your printer to connect. That's what I do.

  • holy shit your fast

  • if you wanna play this you need four hands I think :'D

  • haha i agree its look lit but this is possible.. after so manny.. hours of practice lmao!

  • no this is 2 hands, i used to play it

  • Can you do Op 25 no 12 by Chopin, The "Ocean" Etude? I'm learning it by sheets but I'd love to see people's comments on that.

  • what a crazy guy ô.ô

  • its like watching the Matrix. lol

  • this song is not impossible

  • can you do it?

  • chopin is notorious for writing pieces with the impossible third hand. its really just about using both hands to pick up the extra notes. just think in three hands and it should come with lots of practice. the big left hand movements are hard as balls too. you have to be quick or you just miss it entirely.

  • omg, in the first few seconds i thought awh this song isnt so bad idk wat you guys are talking about...i look away from the screen for a second n when i look back i saw all those lil keys coming down n i was like impossible O___O

    lmao xD

  • this is impossible

he has more than two hands

  • What level is this?

  • Level 8

  • @teresahan1991 What do you mean by 'Level 8' ?????

  • @kingyas22 Grade 8. The highest grade you can learn and then diplomas. After that though start teaching yourself and composing yourself and you get eventually to Chopin and Beethoven's level. Grade 10, but nowaday's it's not called that because we have qualifications instead.

  • @JimNoir1 THANKS FOR TELLING,

YOU KNOW A LOT ABOUT MUSIC AND I DON'T KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT MUSIC LOL, NOT IN THAT STAGE YET, LOL

  • @teresahan1991 this is RCM level 8?????

  • @1217ryszka IT'S OVER 9000

  • My hands heard this and said NO!

  • its impossible the guy brobally had like 4 hands D:

  • Pretty sure Chopin had 2 hands. I'm gonna check though =P

  • @teresahan1991 yup and 27 fingers

  • @teresahan1991

    LMAO XD

  • or 20 fingers, which is way cooler!

    hahaha

  • @hien512 pah, look up hungarian rhapsody no. 2 friska, on synthesia, and then tell me who has 4 hands, chopin or liszt (none of then had 4 hands)

  • WTF this song is imposible xD !!!! jajajajaja

  • proves that the amount of skill needed to play something doesnt equal quality.......

  • I'm learning this piece, it's pretty hard, but should be fun to play

  • my hands are sore now from just watching it!.... 0.o wow

  • Could you do the second hungarian rhapsody from Liszt as well (slow plx! )

  • pfft i could play that easy

  • I wish I can too. :D

  • haha :D

  • Hello. could you please make a slower version of this and the rachmininoff prelude in g minor. it would be greatly aprediated. i mean i would be saved ALOT of work and ALOT of time.lol

  • lets se you try

  • ill play the first 14 seconds!

  • LOL :)

  • i loove chopin. the begining sounds kinda like pokemon..or rather pokemon sounds like it lol

  • I'm glad you like it.

  • It's classical music

  • Well, no kidding, but it doesn't sound nice, it's just a bunch of notes thrown together. There are a bunch of songs munch nicer then this. I'm just saying it's not a song i like.

  • He have a point

  • Shiffty05, if you don't like this one, you may like "The Ocean" by Chopin better.

Also, the group of pieces this came from is a group of "etudes", which are pieces geared more toward building up technical ability than portraying musicality. For classical music, you may enjoy Chopin's "Ballade No. 3" or Alkan's "Chant in E Major" better. Give those pieces a listen. ;)

  • lol... this sounds like funeral music and hoist the colours mixed together kinda...

  • It sounds little bit creepy but I like it. :D

  • Awesome video. Is this synthesia?

  • Yes it is.

  • ok thanks for clearing that up.

  • "Liz on top of the world" and "Georgiana" by Dario Marianelli from Pride and Prejudice. PLEASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEE!

great video! that song is impossibly amazing!

  • great!

request: "Liz On Top of the World" and "Georgiana" from Pride and Prejudice. by Dario Marianelli :) that would make my day! thanks!
