man your da best.i've promised my parents i'll get a good report card.n in exchange they'll give me a bass.n then i'd start learning it n keep watchin ur videos :P
@darrenandsarah123 you're a boss. like the "bassplaya" said, I seriously think that we'd be total bros! and like lenbo888 said, about ska, I would love to hear some ska lessons, especially from you. I've gotta say that your tutorials really teach people stuff. You're making thousands of people better musicians! That's awesome, man! For a few GOOD ska bass players, check out Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, and We Are The Union (which consists of more hardcore ska sound, but still great)
Dude, I got one word for you: RESPECT. I've been watching a lot of your videos tonight, and even if the ones I've seen has been in to much of a beginner level for me to learn something new, I notice you are very talented, your lessons are good, and you're cool as hell. I'd rather watch this than MarloweDK:s lessons. This turned into quite a gay subscription, but still: you rock. (Altough I didn't agree with you in your punkvideo...)
Dude excellent stuff, not only are you good but damn funny as heck, keep em coming, you are making me get another BASS and give it another go, not to be a pro but just to play and chill at home..hahhah...great stuff!
my problem is Im lacking fluidity? (does that make sense) I've been playing awhile and I feel like Im in a rut. I could use a lesson essentially in "jamming" and leading a jam session and maintaining creative sounding bass grooves. I have great timing, and good ideas, but they run out of steam when it comes time to change. hope thats not to complex haha
this is a simple yet very effective teaching aid. All my practice has been with this method, and it's really helped me as I've tried to progress further into more theory, now if i can just get interchanging between modes down... i really like Lydian.
@mikesohc81 thanks for the comments man. I've kind of been out of lesson ideas lately, so I've just been posting riffs and stuff. If you have a lesson idea you'd like to see, thats not super technical, let me know!
Thanks man, this helps.
