Just bumped into this. I saw it only one other time when it was first released. All I remember of that is Tim Allen saying "There is no GOD-DAMNED-SHIP!", and then I tried pretty hard to stay awake for the next hour.

WOW seanisdeaf17, thanks for uploading this great classic sci-fi comedy! Tim Allen is hilarious as a Captain Kirk type, and Sigourney Weaver is very sexy. And the whole sci-fi convention thing is really funny. What Crimson Mistress said is true--the trekkies really take those characters, plots and various sub-series very seriously. The old Star Trek fans hate the Next Generation fans, etc. But that makes the comic elements of this film even more funny!

@0311SECFOR I think they did a little "addition" to the costume (since that's what a cheesy sci fi show such as Galaxy Quest would have done I suppose.) She's not quite so built in the Alien series.

I went ot a Star Trek convention with my husband. It was his birthday and i payed for the whole thing. I was shocked at how serious people take things. Some kid told another kid that The old star trek sucked, which resulted in a horrendous fist fight. The funny part about it was they were both heavily dressed as klingons, and they were trying so hard to fight like Klingons, while at the same time trying to actually mame eachother. I thought they were acting until security escorted them out.
