Wow, The sovereign really hung on for a long time. Amazing against 3 Akira class starships. I knew she would lose to the akiras. But still to take a beating for that long and still fight back is quite impressive. Of course, the sovereigns are quite impressive. One on one the akira would have lost though. Still, the akira is pretty impressive on its own. Especially, its ability to launch large numbers of torpedoes in a short period of time.

if i was the Sovereign, i would concentrate all my fire on one ship and destroy it as quickly as possible, thereby reducing incoming fire by 1 third and increasing survival time. I would then move on to the next.

I consider the new ST very good but separate from Old. I think they should be dealt with separately. And no the sovereign didn't have a chance vs 3 Akira class starships. The Akira is a heavily armed starship to begin with. Type 10 Phasers and a considerable stock of photon and Quantum torpedoes. Nothing to take lightly. The Akira is also interesting for its "fly through" shuttle bay in the ventral side of the saucer section. One could launch a small force of fighters or shuttles.

Not really. they have speed for one thing. and their shields are better than that of a galaxy class. But you are right if you meant to say the quantum torps make a massive difference. They wouldnt be "screwed" tho.

Sovereign class ships are some very hardy and very well built ships. It would take 3 or more Akira class starships to do that.

soveregn is a battleship if you played legacy you would see and hms hood was a battle cruise but considerd a battle ship

battle cruiser are a different class of ship then battle ships, battle cruisers have less armor and more power full engines so they can go faster and have the same guns as battle ships, hood wasn't a battle ship. More fire power but less armor and more speed and maneuverability.

capt. picard commanded (not flew) a sovereign class ship after the galaxy class version of the enterprise (d) was "grounded in the horrible generations movie. first contact and all the subsequent movies use the enterprise e which is a sovereign class. but now with the reboot, none of these ships will have been built since the original enterprise in the reboot is now more advanced than the original one in TOS. the timeline has changed.

@thegamerman7 not just picard. sovereigns in general were designed as warships because of the dominion war. the akira is a support ship. you'd need a dozen of them to even MATCH a sovereign

You know, in ST canon, a single Akira should be plenty match for a Sovereign on its own. The Akira class is larger (wider and deeper, but shorter), and has 15 torpedo tubes. Never played the game...but it doesn't look like you had a hard time.

Sovereign class are the most powerful in starfleet, hence the reason Enterprise is the flagship!

next time you make one of these, be sure to focus on the ships getting damaged.

It is boring as hell watching the Akiras just fly around and fire torpedoes, just film the enemy ship taking damage till it explodes.

its easy to beat a sovereign with an akira, just get the impulse engines, then get to a party where only phasers (if any weapons) can get you, and excersise the ability to use 12 quantam torpedoes in a short period of time (yes im counting rear ones)
