I use W7 and OSX daily. I feel that I can get my work done more efficiently on my mac than I can on a windows computer. More efficient work on my mac = less time being wasted = more time for play on my W7 PC :D

Windows 7 interface is cleaner, intuitive, and pleasant to the eyes i just love the vibrant 32-bit color GUI system. The majority of professional software including games are on the windows platform. Ppl are right about linux being unreliable. have ubuntu on second partition and i had nothing but crashes from updates to nvidia device driver and kernel failures. I had to either go into recover mode or hit ctrl+f2 or ctrl+f1 to get into shell to fix the issues.
Windows 7 is lot more reliable than OSX. I heard nothing but complaints from IT workers about OSX constant crashes by software and kernel in the business world. Even windows xp would run without hiccups if you didn't visit porn sights or download trojans and worms. But xp overtime would slowdown. If you want optimal windows 7 performance get ccleaner and use diskeeper automatic defragging your system in real-time.
I like win 7 more. Maybe just because I have used windows since win 98 and its about the same shit all the way up to win 7. Mac feels too easy to use (its like the computer think that the user is stupid.)and a mac can just take a few pc games.

Windows will never be more stable than mac os for a bunch of reasons, one of the most prominent ones being that it has a centralized registry, which was a arguably viable approach in 1995. And kernel panics, aka bluescreens? On windows I experience them on a weekly basis, on mac I have one yet to see.

In addition , same could be true for Windows installed on a mother board running Intel I7 processor. Windows 7 is fast, flexible, n reliable for businesses.

Not surprising in the slightest. OSX is stripped down, very uniform and very linear in design, whereas Windows 7 is more thorough, open-ended and versatile. Naturally, OSX would have a slight edge in encoding features, etc, but W7's high end pipeline performance is an absolute winner. I compare OSX to an automatic car, and W7 to one with manual transmission. You can either DRIVE, or you can just steer. Nothing wrong with either, just depends on your tastes.

All you do is go into the mac apps store and Download lion for free as long as you already bought it unlike windows were you have to go to the store and pick up the DVD and then install it and the Register it and activate it and it cost $319.99 and you can only use it for one PC. With mac you can just install just like you would install any app and you can use it on all of your Macs and don't forget it only cost $29.99(10 times less).
you do realize that there are OEM versions of Windows 7 that are around $100 dollars, right? OEM versions of Ultimate clock in at around $150. Buying retail means more money for non-essential packaging. Yes, SL is $30 bucks, but it requires Leopard to begin with, and a Mac. The immediate cost of overpayment can be anywhere from $600-$1000 right there.

No, the SERVICE PACK is $30. You still need a preexisting Mac OS in order to get Snow Leopard. When you buy a Win 7 OS, you're actually buying the entire OS.
Oh, and the Windows service packs....they're free.

sorry... i don`t agree Os X is just a service pack that cost $29; first, you have to own a mac that reach in price up to $1000 or more; in contrast, windows 7 reach $300 full edition and allows you to install it on any hardware. Apple has lead the customer to spend a lot of $ for their hardware so we know there performance is a bit better. In addition , same could be true for Windows installed on a mother board running Intel I7 processor. Windows 7 is fast, flexible, n reliable for businesses.

what a surprise, Brian "ringalingading" Tong is a huge mac fanboy, so no surprise at who wins this battle. The bottom line is Macs are toys...and expensive ones at that. If you want a real OS then Windows 7 is the way to go. I built my PC from scratch and it has more horsepower than any Mac and it cost almost half as much. Spend over $1000 on a shiny toy? No thanks! I'm a PC!

Not surprising in the slightest. OSX is stripped down, very uniform and very linear in design, whereas Windows 7 is more thorough, open-ended and versatile. Naturally, OSX would have a slight edge in encoding features, etc, but W7's high end pipeline performance is an absolute winner. I compare OSX to an automatic car, and W7 to one with manual transmission. You can either DRIVE, or you can just steer. Nothing wrong with either, just depends on your tastes.

@Powerdirect0r its actually allot easier to install Mac OS X. All you do is go into the mac apps store and Download lion for free as long as you already bought it unlike windows were you have to go to the store and pick up the DVD and then install it and the Register it and activate it and it cost $319.99 and you can only use it for one PC. With mac you can just install just like you would install any app and you can use it on all of your Macs and don't forget it only cost $29.99(10 times less).

you do realize that there are OEM versions of Windows 7 that are around $100 dollars, right? OEM versions of Ultimate clock in at around $150. Buying retail means more money for non-essential packaging. Yes, SL is $30 bucks, but it requires Leopard to begin with, and a Mac. The immediate cost of overpayment can be anywhere from $600-$1000 right there.

Why does it matter if Macs dont have a massive gaming library? Are you 9 years old? I for one would rather get stuff done and have a more pleasant work environment versus being able to say "Oh I have Left 4 Dead and CoD, ooooooh!" Macs are overpriced though. And tbh, I've never really had any major issues with Windows. 2 or 3 BSoDs since 1999. I was considering getting a Macbook Pro but I'm not sure.

Comparing Apple OS to Windows OS is like comparing a well designed original Lotus sports car to a cheap ass Lotus Kit Car. It's a wannabe and always will be a cheap copy (read your Silicone Valley history). No, the SERVICE PACK is $30. You still need a preexisting Mac OS in order to get Snow Leopard. When you buy a Win 7 OS, you're actually buying the entire OS.
Oh, and the Windows service packs....they're free.

also as a second comment testing windows on a macbook pro is not the way to test it, give it a tower with the same spec, if they were running windows 7 off the mac's bootcamp then it will be naturally slower so that test is messed up....

Personally the OS's havnt really been my problem its the cost of the hardware from apple that 1000's of pounds more expensive than a PC and yet the PC can still have better hardware at a lower price? when it comes down to it it depends on the hardware that you have that will show which is the fastest although yes software and coding does play a part but on a good PC the ones mentioned in this video for load times my PC beats that by a long shot, i have a feeling they havnt tested this fully...

People forget the fact that they are still BOTH great OS's... My opinion, I like Windows 7 better. but even if you like Mac's better. Say you give a Mac a 10/10 rating,, what is windows?? a 9.5/10. Not much of a difference. I KNOW Mac's have better performance, a little bit better, but I found when I use Windows, I, THE USER can get to things much quicker and I just thing it's set-ups and displays and designed for speed in actually allowing you to operate it quicker.

hey if you are look for how to run PC games for mac os x and Linux give a try for Crossover (for mac) and wine (for linux) its working fine, Actually its faster than in windows 64 edition but in mac still its quite difficult to run but it works fine like call of duty black ops Resident Evil 5 even in auto cad 2010 :D
