I figured out why you get hurt randomly when in darkness: there are creatures called "Shadows" that are basically human-shaped shadows that stand in one spot and don't bother you unless you run into them. Just keep a look out for them in corners or places where the light doesn't shine with your flashlight!!! Hope this helps!!!
