Sometimes its just what he feels, I don't like it, but I can respect it and see a sort of twisted beauty in it. Sometimes he does it because fans demand it. I don't like that, he doesn't like that, and if I knew he did cut himself out of obligation frankly I'd lose a whole lot of respect for him.

Either way, he's not encouraging it or saying its right, hes using it as another performing tool, and showing his pain through it. Saying he's telling people to do it is like saying he's encouraging rape, murder, abuse by writing about these things the way he does. It's about the shock factor and making people pay attention, and showing how sick it is from a more intimate perspective on it. I'm sure he'd hate to think he'd made anyone start cutting.
