  • Nom nom nom Yummy !

  • I don't know what you mean by that. If you're saying it does not use curry powder, you're right. But try this recipe for an amazing authentic taste --not a curry powder taste.

  • @MadhuGadia1

babaganuc does know a good Indian cook would never use "curry" powder. Curry or Kari is a sauce which is made up of various spices. It's the different spices that give this it's uniqueness from one cook/region to another. One recipe I want to try uses Cardamom pods (ground).

I've done very similar recipe only changes were: no fennel, no cayenne, added a green chili, yogurt in at the end, I used more water and reduced. I'll experiment

    Corriander seeds/Cilantro leaves same plant.

  • chicken curry without curry? How did that happen?

  • @babaganuc465

I am not sure what you mean by that? Indians typically do not use curry powder to make curry. Try this you will be amazed at the curry taste, authentic and delicious.

  • for how many people is this dish ?~??

  • I miss my auntie's cooking... she's gone back to India :(

I'm gonna make this curry for her when she comes to visit next month! Thank you so much for the recipe :D

Now, I'm like the first Chinese person in my family who can make curry without exploding/killing someone.

    LOL.

  • What were the spices you used? Could not understand

  • there is so much way to make chicken curry i make my chicken curry and my friends and famz love them

  • Thanks for the tutorial!! I cooked it after and everyone at home ended up wanting more :D

  • This is a really good recipe...in case I want to add garam masala, could I do so at the end?

  • mmm... smells good,... i can taste the curry in my plain chicken....

  • As a chef I find that chicken breast raw added after tomatoes dries out the chicken but with thigh meat the moisture that comes off the meat means you can exclude usually the water but a nice recipe

  • thanks. would really love to give it a try when I could find all those spices...

  • good job by the presenter and uploader!!1 10/10!!!

  • thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

  • great dish..looks yummy

  • Thank you madam for posting your recipe. With all due respect this is not the proper recipe for Indian chicken curry. It's the first time I've seen someone sear the chicken before browning the onions. You can see the chicken bits sticking to the bottom of the pan. Using separate spices is always better than ready made curry powder. Also, you must brown your onions properly for good curry taste and color. Regards.

  • Damn Lady you are GOOD! Am gonna try that recipe!!!! thanks a million!

  • You could use ginger powder if necessary.

  • Yes Coconut oil is high in saturated fat but it is mostly "Medium Chain Fatty Acids" which are the good kind. Also the only source of "Lauric Acid" besides Mothers Milk.

Your body needs saturated fats to function properly. The real danger is the "Trans Fats" which are so abundant in processed foods. Stop eating processed foods and you don't have to worry about eating too much saturated fat.

I eat coconut oil straight off the spoon and have lost weight after cutting out the processed junk.

  • Excellent Instruction. I made mine using all "organic" ingredients. I used Coconut oil instead of Canola oil. Your viewers should be aware that Canola is not a healthy oil to use. There is no such thing as a canola plant in nature. The term comes from "Canadian Oil". The oil is made from the "rapeseed plant" which is toxic to humans and animals. Also most all Canola oil is produced from Genetically Modified Organisims, not good at all. If you must use it, at least buy it "Organic".

  • could you use ginger powder

  • Fantastic, thank you!!

  • 3:10 Gordon Brown... thats UK prime minister. lol

  • thanks a lot!

  • Thank you for this wonderful recipe! My indian friend could not believe that my chicken Curry tasted so authentic. I've bought your book and I'm looking forward to cook some more indian dishes. Would be great if you could add more videos as I find it a bit difficult to cook some of the recipes when there are no pictures and I don't know how the end result is suppose to look like.

  • can you use coconut milk instead of yogurt?

  • @shylildude If you want to add coconut milk, add it to the curry after it is prepared. It has a different texture.

  • Great video. This seems like one of the easiest Indian dishes to make. I used to work with an Indian girl and her mom would send in fresh made Naan in the mornings and it was delicious. Thanks for the great recipe I can't wait to try it!

  • About 50% of Indians eat meat, 99% eat dairy products. I'm not sure who you talked to.

  • @MadhuGadia, eating dairy products is against Vedic tradition so many Hindus do not eat it, I would say 30% of Hindus eat dairy products, so your figure of 99% is way off. Maybe you've been eating too much curry lol, or you might be Sri Lankan and not fully aware of Hindu custom.

  • @JacobsJaffa Are you out of your mind? Dairy products are essential to Vedic tradition...ghee (clarified butter) is used very liberally in preparing prashads...Bhagwan Krishna was known as maakhan chor (butter theif) and the main reasons why cow is respected is because it provides milk..I think you aren't fully aware of Hindu customs!

  • Looks good - I tried Asian Curry Chicken Oh my Gosh it was good. I spoke with a few people from India and I was told they do not eat meat nor do they eat dairy products. Is it different in the part of India that you may live in if that is where you live?

  • @nethdaniel552 idian food is the best

  • Let me tell you, i'm a 25 year-old guy, only could cook fried rice. After watching your video, I thought "Why not?", thinking I'd mess it up, even having the "At least I tried speech" ready when I had it there on my plate. Then I tasted it...

Wow, i can cook!! It's midnight and I'm stopping myself going down the all-nighter to cook some more. I'd proudly give this to anyone! I cannot thank you enough, I can cook curry chicke thanks to randomly across your video. Brilliant. Have a nice day
