  • Fuck japan

    JAPAN = Smelly Dakwan

  • The main reason why his username is AkitaTom, is due to the fact that he resembles an actual akita.

  • I think white people have it pretty good overseas... most of the time racism against non-white people are worse than racism against white people.

  • Have you ever a romantic relationship with a japanese school girl/guy?

    :D

  • Japan is a nuclear wasteland. Who in their right mind would want to visit or live there? You will get cancer if you live in Japan.

  • @richstar85kr ture, i might not able to buy Japanese products for next 20 yrs for health concern

  • @richstar85kr My God the school system really is failing...

  • I'm sorry, but I just had to point out the fact that you said "pronunciation" as if it were "pronounciation" over 10 times in this video, which at least partially addressed the issue of inaccurate pronunciation when speaking Japanese as a second language.

    lolz

  • @11889music Pronunciation is pronounced "Pronounciation" in most other English dialects other than American.

  • @AkitaTom Oh, I wasn't aware. I just trusted this site:

    collinsdictionary[dot]com/dictionary/english/pronunciation

Where it gives the linguistic symbols: prəˌnʌnsɪˈeɪʃən

Actually, people say "pronounciation" here as well, but I've always just thought it was wrong. Just as people here also call the asterisk an "asterix" (this thing "*").

    Sorry, my mistake.

  • @11889music

    That url should be:

    [w][w][w][.]collinsdictionary[.]com/dictionary/english/pronunciation

Without the brackets or added spaces, of course, yt is picky about urls in comments.

  • When you feel some discrimination in Japan, I recommend you to watch carefully how they do among Japanese. In many cases, you realize that they do in the same way to Japanese as well. This is the way I found in foreign countries to understand people, try it.

  • because you look like douche bag

  • The Japs are nice gooks. As far as gooks go, they are civilised and friendly. But I hate their teeth, and those MENACING slitty eyes. Still, they're OK.

  • I thought Japanese people were just really racist against Koreans and Chinese.

And may be a few nips dont like blacks and Filipinos too.

I do admire Japan having white women(from West Europe,USA, CAnada, Aussieland, N.Zealand, cuz Eastern European women are cheap white women) as whores good thing of Asian pride.

  • Meh, from what I've seen, the "No foreigners" shops are just afraid if you being an "obnoxious American" type of person...

Like, "Eww! This is eel! Disgusting!" Kind of thing. I can hardly blame them for that, though.

  • As far as Japan and foreginers... talking to Japanese people online and reading some Japanese forums few non-japanese people go to there is some xenophobia. How a country can even allow "no foreigners" signs and claim to be progressive is beyond me. Japan is xenophobic, but A LOT of countries are. I once had a Japanese person tell me. "you're japanese is very good you musn't be American" like what is that suppose to mean? Japanese people aren't racist a good number are xenophobic though.

  • It is well known that Japan is the most xenophobic country in the world!

  • @AkitaTom are you English.

  • same thing happens in america....it goes both ways. double standards? Yup...liek racism doesn't exist in america...lol!!!

  • @damianraver same applies with Europe, at in America we dont through fucking banana peels and peanuts at are athletes of African descent.

  • Japan = The World's most racist country in the World, not just Asia.

Japan is the country where a significant percentage of the population have a 'deep-seated inferiority complex' WHILE trying to cover that up and pretend superior to others. Which only deserves them a pity. :)

  • @Awesomecheeseism Are you japanese? have you ever been to japan? where do you even get your information off that japan is the most racist in the world? Japan is pretty tolerate compared to other countries.

  • we have a right to sovereignty too so get out:.)

why does asian dental insurance only cost a dollar?

Cause they all have buck teeth.

What does an asian lawyer do when he is losing a case?

    He plays the rice card.

Did you hear about the funeral home in Japan?

Its called "Jap in the box"

  • @loxleymendoza really? wow....

  • Every group has the right so sovereignty. Japan for the Japanese is their Mantra, I support it.

  • Hmmm. Why are the signs there? Because as the signs say, they don't want you in their store. Is this too complex an answer?

  • @karmaburna lol so basically we can sum up that in some aspects the Japenese are xenophobic or to an extreme extent

  • @wtfsaywat sounded like it! but not the kind of angry hateful xenophobia you'll find in the west, more just a lot of ignorance and fear of being dragged out of their comfort zone lol.

  • @karmaburna o ho lol

  • ok,i'm really interested in moving on japan ,not now but asap,ok i don't really understand what did u say in this video,i'm good at writing not at hearing so....all i understood what are u talking about was that they asked u a lot if u played some po*n video games :)) sorry :))

  • ok im 16 & im a second year student in america (california) i know for a fact that im moving to japan when i become a 3rd year student & i was thinking if i go to 1 of their schools no one would talk to me :o since im a brown skin kid haha (mexican-american) & i know how to talk in japanese so it would be hard well maybe alittle haha whenever you have the chance comment back or post on my channel for more things to talk about with you since ama be a loner hahaha

  • @Silvanfan This is not about randomly just saying cuss words at a person you meet. First of all, if you actually listened to the person on the video, he said a public face not being polite/nice in public. A public face is basically used to only appear polite to avoid soiling your personal honor. But in reality you harbor negative feelings toward the person. So they are not being polite. You should re-listen to the video so you can actually know what the creator really said. But I digress.

  • @wtfsaywat i think all human culture requires that the individual make a wall between their personal feelings and what they present to others, but it's just a question of degrees, rather than black and white honesty/dishonesty.

  • @karmaburna Hmmm....you may have a point. What do you think of Japense people? I have seen a lot of personal experience video and read a lot of articles, and a lot of people are saying that they are basically racist xenophobes.

  • @wtfsaywat i dunno. my friend spent a bit of time over there because his wife is japanese. he did think there was some xenophobia... but what bothered him more was another thing- in situations where you'd lend a stranger a hand (in london) people wouldn't lift a finger. an old woman with a heavy bag stuck at station stairs, a girl being dragged around by an old tramp (station staff walk away, he had to sort it) trying to get a glass of water for someone who collapsed in a club: "no, buy it" etc.

  • @wtfsaywat mind you he said that was in tokyo, they had a nice community thing going on out in the countryside. i think the summing up was: 'japan is alright but tokyo people are cunts' lol.

  • I see the public face as just hypocrisy. That is what it is plain and fat.

  • @wtfsaywat not everyone would say "damn i think you an ignorant asshole whooo" to someone's face on a meeting. as far as i know from personal experience, being polite/nice to people in order to not trample on felings isnt negative as far as i know. he said they were polite. not everyone can be blunt like clearly you are.

  • Comment removed

  • @ElMakz By that logic I'm one handsome dude. Everyone was very nice to me? Which you would know if you actually watched the video. That logic however, is completely untrue, the aspects of racism that I talked about in this video would not be affected by how a person looks. Now, shoo, ignorant peon! :D

  • @ElMakz What a dick comment.

  • you look like steve from american dad :D thats so cool

  • ahaha as expected dude im from america im native and ive been living in japan for 5 years now i am 24 and the insults like that dont stop its like in america where some dont like black

  • About the old guy calling you an American idiot, I think it's because of the atom bombs or something. Some old Japanese people might still be angry about that and he just mistook you for an American. Hey, most western people can't tell the difference between Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. So I think it's okay if some Japanese people can't tell the difference between some western people.

  • @xXEmotionalxKillerXx its funny though, americans of all generations are still pissed about Pearl harbor.

  • Wow your pronunciation is really good!

  • Japanese are hypocrites in nature; I am not surprised.

  • @Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh "Humans are hypocrites in nature; I am not surprised." Fix'd

  • Do they like Australia? Or even Australians?

Because I heard they are obbsessed with the states.

  • @2GuysThatPlayGames I heard they were more so obsessed with the states in the 80's and 90's but now days not so much. The younger generations think foreigners are cool but most of them look down on all foreigners and other countries. I had a few friends go there a year or so ago - they were all treated like morons. (The trip was with their classmates who are taking Japanese in college.) Anyways, that's what I've heard.

  • @PelicanTendencies

    Your friends were American?

  • @2GuysThatPlayGames Actually no. A few were Canadian, French, Australian and Korean. They're going to school in the U.S. and visiting some family. Also they speak Japanese fluently. It's just the skin thing really. Also they have and extreme hatred for Koreans. The Korean girl was treated like shit.

  • @2GuysThatPlayGames There was only really two Americans in the group. I don't know why you would assume that they were American? Could you explain why?

  • @PelicanTendencies

Well, your American. So, I assume your friends were American.

I think if you make friends in Japan your fine. :)

  • @2GuysThatPlayGames Ah sorry. I'm use to people being racist towards Americans. I can't blame but if I seem a little defensive - that's why. I've also met some exchange students from Japan who came to the U.S. and actually plan on staying here.

  • Well if a foreigner ran up to me and I didn't know what they were talking about I'd do my best to help I would not tell them to fuck ya know?

And 2 I plan to visit or maybe live there soon.

I know your a foreign exchange and all how much did it cost to live there like all together I'm curious.

  • I got news for all Japaneses so fixed with their language. The rest of the world doesn't give a flying fuck about your language, yup it' so totally useless it's not even fun.. Don't aggravate tourists or teachers who you btw need in your country, with your idiotic claim. If you don't want not speaking Japanese people in your country then close the fucking borders It's not gonna happen, masses are not going to learn your language get the fuck over it and grow up for fuck sake!!!!

  • @MrRefurbishedBrain now that is just rude. those who come from japan to america have to learn english. why shouldn't those who come to japan learn japanese? but to be honest, i rarely see any american products, because japan is much more technologiclly advanced than other countries

  • @NinjetteTiger2 I completely agree and should be that way for every country really.

  • @NinjetteTiger2 Rude? So with your and these idiots logic if I want to visit Egypt I should learn Egyptian, If I want to teach English in Tibet I should learn Tibetan?

I'm not talking about living there, I'm talking about just visiting or teaching for a year.

Yup, a good % of Japanese demand that you speak their language even in these occasions.

Ever noticed the signs "No foreigners" in some buildings or venues, yup totally allowed by the government too.Niiice Wake the f up

  • @MrRefurbishedBrain i understand if you are talking about visiting, because I visit many places and i dont think its necessary to know language since im not staying. Oh, and if you have ever been to Japan before, we treat foreigners like KINGS! i would know. though, you cant really teach a language without being able to cooperate with the students. If a Japanese guy came to America to teach you Japanese, but didnt know ANY english, will you get very far?

  • AGKranranru stop making goddamn bullshit

  • Who cares if theyre still racist? Has the world forgiven Japan for what it did during the second World War? Unit 731? Comfort Women? Nanking? Bataan? Has Japan even apologized?

  • @theSicilianToe right....because an entire nation regardless of generation will always be tied to the events of their ancestors. With your logic, i guess every African America can take credit for Martin Luther King's actions, Every German is a Nazi, and every Christian would go through centuries of war just to push their religion onto others. But i guess you are too blinded by your own ignorance to see the hipocracy in your own comment.

  • @XBladeWingX ancestors? wtf are you on about this was 60 fucking years ago twat

  • @theSicilianToe the term ancestor is defined as the preceding generation. This can be as recent as your grandfather....Even regardless of generation you blame an entire nation from the decisions of several people. 60 years ago was also the time of the holocaust, and like i asked before...do you think every german is a Nazi? Do you not see the racism in your own comment? You probably don't so i won't waste my time with you anymore.

  • @XBladeWingX the Germans hate the Nazis. They dont teach lies in their schools and fill their childrens heads with anti-American propaganda. Teaching their kids our country is at fault for unleashing two atomic weapons on scum like the Imperial Japanese. This is not a racist agenda, this is an agenda against your countrys government for refusing to accept responsibility for its own atrocities, and refusing to apologize to the rest of the world while demanding they apologize to them.

  • @theSicilianToe you are not helping yourself. 1- "My Country" is South Korea HINT HINT. 2- Imperial Japan DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE HINT HINT HINT. If you got it, then we are done talking. If you don't, we're done talking anyways, cause clearly your feet are stuck in a mud of very poor generalizations in which i can't aid you out of. I wish to respect both of our times so i won't be replying anymore. Farewell.

  • Lol you spelled out S-E-X xD

  • @Dumitr33 Please check other videos before asking common questions like this...

LOL JK IM HOLDING SHIFT. LIKE A BOSS.

  • FUNNY HOW PEOPLE MAKE UP EXCUSES FOR OTHER PEOPLE....I LOVE MY ASIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS,AND HAVE MANY ORIENTAL FRIENDS, HOWEVER ONE THING I'VE LEARNED, IS THAT YOU HAVE TO REALLY LIKE THEIR CULTURE(THEY CAN TELL IF YOUR FAKING...) FOR EXAMPLE, I LOVE SAMURAI CULTURE,WHEN I DEAL WITH CHINESE PEOPLE, THEY CAN TELL THAT I HAVE A GENUINE INTEREST IN KUNG FU....AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, I LOVE ORIENTAL FOOD !!!....IT ALSO HELPS TO KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY THAT YOU VISIT....

  • @eihwazrune2000 MY CAPS LOCK IS BROKEN!

  • @AkitaTom HA MY CAPS LOCK IS ACCTUALLY BRONKEN

  • Sounds like he was talking about a hostess club.

  • his friend tobi goes to summer hieghts high loool

  • i CAN UNDERSTAND ABOUT EVERY 5 THE WORD OF THIS

WHY BOTHER WHEN NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND

  • japan is turning into a radioactive wasteland, and i won't be racist when they move to america or canada, that makes me a better person.

  • Dude, look up steve smith, american dad, and then look at yourself in this video. Ya, u look like him here.

  • @ando1135 Wow, I never noticed that but I see it. Haha, that's awesome and funny.

  • Maybe the problem is with Americans. When I went to France with a friend that speaks French, she overheard some French people complaining about Americans, at least in three different places she said. I'm glad they knew we were not Americans.

  • @MattRodrig You will hear that not only in France the dislike against american xDDDD

  • There is also racism/sexism towards white females in Japan from other Japanese females surprisingly. Men were always polite.

  • KILL ALL WEEABOOS.

  • He only went to one but how many times did he go to that one SPECIAL PUB

  • Now imagine if you came to America and there were businesses that said no Japanese allowed.

  • @attemptingtobehumble America is a colonial culture which has never had one race all over.. you go to a single race society like japan or korea, you stick out.. this was once the same in europe, and still is in rural areas, even in cities.

  • @Pawnbroker00 I agree but Japan has had it's history of racism too, especially against the Chinese and the Koreans.

  • @Pawnbroker00 Have you been to the deep south?

  • @Gottheit567 Lol.. there are still loads of blacks and other races in the US south.. even 50 years ago.

  • @Pawnbroker00 Yes, and whites are generally more racist in the South, then they are in the North or West.

  • You know what I don't understand, is why it's okay for people in japan to rightfully get upset when someone doesn't speak their language, while in america, you get looked at as a complete fuckwad because you get a little irritated for not being able to understand ooga booga talk.

  • @808Productionz Japan is a more homogenous country while America is supposed to be for everyone no matter the language, religion, ethnicity, etc. i'm not saying i agree that you should be called a fuckward but japan has an excuse i guess

  • @conwashur Lol I've been in Tokyo for a month or 2 in the summer, and I haven't gotten any weird looks at all. In contrast, while I'm in Europe (UK, France, Germany) or America, I got people yelling "sing me a chinky song".

  • @808Productionz I'd say it has to do with the fact that 99% of Japan speaks, well, Japanese as their native language. Native Japanese people also make up 98.5% of the population, therefore, minorities and foreign languages are very rare and aren't really spoken.

  • @808Productionz because america is considered a melting pot for culture and ethnicity, meanwhile in japan (like some very few country s) they are considered very xenophobic. Which is completely understandable since not to many people are of another race in their country.

  • @rolofry Yes lots of different people live here and lots of people speak lots of different languages, BUT, the common language spoken here is english, has nothing to do with ethnicity. Yet as I said, you get looked at as a complete fuckwad for being a little irritated at someone inconveniencing you due to their inability to speak the common tongue, doubly so for people who refuse to learn the language. While it's "Understandable" to outwardly express disdain for the same people.

  • @808Productionz I didn't know poofy limey raggae-listening Neo-Nazis still existed.

    How's fucking 'YA MAM' going?

  • @Gh0stIII Terrible psychoanalysis created by someone who doesn't comprehend the scope of my statement, considering this someone lives in a "Country" that does the exact same thing. But hey, can't blame the stupid for being stupid can we, I blame your parents.

  • @808Productionz Because America is has the most mixed cultures of any country.

  • @lumpy195 How does that change the fact that English is the Main Language used in America.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @lumpy195 Except that's not what I was talking about, what I was talking about is why the Japanese can do this and not seem like the bad guy but when any american does it, it suddenly turns into a national incident.

  • @808Productionz I'm sure the Japanese don't go to another country expecting everyone else to learn Japanese just in case they run into a Japanese person. I guess a lot of Japanese people just don't understand why people can't just learn the main language of the country they're visiting so they wouldn't have to trouble other people by trying and failing to communicate with them.

  • @lumpy195 ONCE AGAIN, not what I was talking about, you're failing to comprehend what you're reading before you reply. Read the initial statement again, THEN respond.

  • @808Productionz Because their culture allows for it whereas shifting trends within the cultures from Western countries emphasis tolerance. If you still insist as to why, consider the racial composition of the Western countries, such as the United States. Even though white people consist most of the population in those countries, immigrants from other ethnicities and the generations they bear have comprised a significant portion of those countries.

  • @jmr122287 Either the countries press those people to assimilate and conform entirely into the countries' culture, which may include exclusive use of English or whatever language, or allow them to continue their culture, as long as it does not infringe the civil liberties of others. These countries, like the United States, have decided to delve, more or less, into the latter.

You also have to consider the dynamics of community into this issue.

  • @808Productionz Japan emphasizes community, which impresses homogeneity and conformity into its people. Western countries prefer individuality, which allows each person to pursue the paths and attitudes that best benefit them. In Japan and unlike the West, you essentially have to conform into its culture and speak its language if you want to coexist peacefully with your neighbors and society.

Because Japan does have to contend with many minorities with large political sway, it can impose.

  • @808Productionz Western countries, on the other hand, do and decide to tolerate. Thus, they make amendments.

But only because people in Japan might become upset if someone does not speak Japanese does not make it more right. I understand why a Japanese might become upset; he, as perhaps most of Japan, cannot and will not relate to foreign cultures and languages. However, the size of the masses that support an action does not justify the mistreatment of others from that action.

  • @jmr122287 You misunderstand my statement, I didn't say nor was I talking about Japanese people specifically being okay with someone treating a foreigner who doesn't speak the language like that. I was talking about people in general. If you compare this treatment with equal treatment in the United states, it is acceptable in this regard but compared to the US you're looked upon as a complete fuckwad. My statement was pretty clear.

  • a lot of soaplands wont let foreigners in cos diseases and stuff. plus the girls get thrashed.

thats the only sort of discrimination i saw.

  • AHA!! I knew manga was pronounced that way. :) All my friends don't believe me >:(

  • @mickburke15 Thankyou for apologizing for that we forgive you! I didn't mean to call you ignorant I was calling what you said ignorant, but that's forgiven :)

  • @mickburke15 That's a terrible thing to say...ignorance.

  • you are awesome! i love your videos and can't wait to do a foreign exchange to japan when i get to university.

  • @R0B0T1CxFILMAKER Dude...you got called Bruce Lee and got OFFENDED? What? Also, that is not necessarily racism. It is racism if he said it in a derogatory tone toward you. Considering he said "Bruce lee...I highly doubt it was derogatory. In America, it is pretty common to use otherwise unfriendly words, such as nigger, ho, and even bitch, to a friend or acquaintance without intending to demean someone. So yeah, Bruce Lee is pretty much considered a bad ass on par with Chuck Norris here.

  • No more come to Japan. It's enough.

  • @kaisermuto Japan for the Japanese. Everybody else get the fuck out.

  • @kaisermuto Learn to english.

  • Don't read prompt paper.

  • smart guy!!!

  • I'd put signs of: No Blacks/ Europeans or Americans Allowed.

  • Most racism are in japanese video games.

  • As an American that has traveled in different countries it is often easier to understand the culture if you know the language. Americans have a lot of different cultures under one flag. some of us embrace diversity on the Earth. I bet though we can all agree, We all do like to be relaxed and warm by our own fires and sing " home sweet home".

  • Pro*nun*ciation!

  • No it's not because you need to speak English lol, to tell you the truth it's because of mainly how the American Military acts. The rule there is why take a risk when you don't have too, I know of scenarios where they didn't let people in who weren't 100% Japanese. Yea the military fucks shit up as a unit for the most part. lol

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing the info. Don't really agree with the "It's their country, they can put up signs" thing. If your borders are open, and allow people to travel in and out of the country, then you have no choice but to be accomodating to foreigners. Learing English isn't difficult, they do learn it in japanese schools. It all sounds like an excuse to me. Don't get me wrong, I like Japan and think everyone should live in peace but the sad truth is they are pretty narrow-minded.

  • @gaymuraki You just want to promote Japanese Genocide by flooding Japan with Non Japanese.

    You're a Anti-Japanese Racist.

  • @WhiteWeasel420 And you are a silly, silly person.

  • @gaymuraki You waist time responding to silly people? :p

    LOLOL

  • @WhiteWeasel420 Of course, how else will you know that you are silly :P

    Bye!

  • @gaymuraki Bawwwww!!

    LOLOL

  • @gaymuraki It's their country... Get the hell off if you don't like it.

  • @Gurtaton I'm not actually there.....

    FAIL!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @WhiteWeasel420 ur an idiot

  • Comment removed

  • @got2many and you spell You're as "Ur" so I think your own idiocy speaks for itself ;)

  • @gaymuraki I personally think that the Japanese are very racist, i mean, every country has their racists, but japan is up there with first places, BUT i disagree with your comment, USA never accommodates to foreigners, if you want to go to the USA you need to speak English, and if you don't then you'r fucked, you don't enter a store and say "Me da porfavor un refresco de naranja" and expect the owner pull out a Spanish dictionary so he can understand you...

  • @blakscull I didn't mean it that way. I meant that English is a language that is accepted worldwide and also taught pretty much everywhere. They do know English, they just are too insecure/afraid to use it and it manifests in Xenophobia. By using English, you are being accomodating in the way that you can communicate with each other, even if you hate the other person. It's really to their disadvantage (economy, politics, everything) not to work on their language skills and be more accepting.

  • and why did i used USA as an example? because USA's borders are open and they allow people to travel in and out of the country, but they don't do anything you said they should do.

  • @blakscull I live in Sweden. I (and most swedes) do not expect tourists to know Swedish that is why we learn English, to be able to communicate in a universal language. If you plan to live in, whatever country, then yes, do learn their language, in this case Japanese. But don't discriminate against those that have yet to learn.

  • Ok just stop Akita Tom!! You said u have never experienced any rascism in japan. I can beleive that cuz yur friggin white u dumb-ass! Try being a visible minority like black or pakistani and see what happens then. It kills me when i see smart assess like yourself talking about rascism. a subject which u know nothing about. I doubt u even know what real rascism is. I am white myself but i know i have never really faced racism to magnitude yur talking about. do yur research before u open yur trap

  • @TheConspiracyMan8 umm he was speaking to what he has seen, he never claimed to speak definitively about racism in Japan. As for visible minority, I would imagine a white guy in Japan would be a minority

  • @TheConspiracyMan8: Tom said he has "NOT experienced very many negative things at all" in response to someone asking about his experiences. Who the hell are you to tell him he's a dumbass?

You talk about being a visible minority, well, being white IS a visible minority in Japan. I'm pale as a ghost and in my time in Japan I'm sure I was VISIBLY white to everyone I spoke to.

  • @TheConspiracyMan8 cont'd...

And, to the point, I have experienced first-hand a fairly good taste of racism myself. The experiences were few and far between in Japan, but they happened. Try having people on the train leave their seat because they don't want to sit near you. Openly staring at you in the street. You try to speak their language and oftentimes get openly laughed at (And my Japanese pronunciation is quite good, mind you.)

On the flip-side, there is positive racism.
