This has to be a possible future.. full immersion... we might eventually re-acquire a full range of senses plus a few... with the added advantage of instantaneous metamorphosis. We might eventually dispense with our physical bodies and simply choose whom we wanted to be. Who would we be then...certainly no longer human .. maybe a kind of startrek type Q-beings, but ones that could not cause harm or be harmed?

This is truly amazing. I can clearly see the day when we will be able to totally inhabit virtually created avatars like these. I think it will certainly be in less than a hundred years away. This kind of tech raises a myriad of questions about who we are and how other people relate to us. If we can change form like this, will any such new appearances affect or change our original perception of who or what we are? Will we inhabit the avatar or it us? Interesting stuff! Congrats!

It's amazing for an animation, but the facial camera tools the guys at Rockstar are using for L.A. Noire are easier and more realistic.

@Veggie449 Yes it dose but you see my Cousin works with Team bondi and he told me about the Facial Studio and i wish i could go in the studio but even though im a Family member im not allowed to go in but yes it dose make things look realistic but this is only the beginning of the Technology because even though there real Rockstar is still improving there software for the next game because there still improving the software as We speak, i cant give you all the info because I can get in trouble

@Veggie449 Try looking at the facial expressions with the body movements with that game. The thing about motion capture is it over exaggerates every detail, and it makes the both the head and the body look unrealistic. Truthfully, frame by frame animation still works better than motion capture

Her mouth can't open too wide. All 3 of the characters movements are linked to one original motion. So if it's open too wide in her mouth, it's open too wide in everyones mouth...

The only problem here is the skin tone looks unnatural, and i think i figured out why. Real skin is layers of translucent tissue with different tones, here, you just have a single solid surface. The old guy looks the best because the wrinkles covers the bare skin. This is also why people with dark complexion make better CG

If you dissected a piece of skin and recorded the translucent properties of every mm, (under microscope) then you could simulate it perfectly by making the skin out of layers

it was a very very high budget project by a studio, not a guy, and its not 3ds max or maya, though the modelling and texturing would be used in a similar stature.
