He was a champ at 20, that´s a really good acomplishment. And the most important thing; he has never ever ducked anybody, he takes on all comers. And at the same time he is on his way to law school. when you shadow box you don t use speed cause you don t have a target to hit.you just imagine an opponent.and anyway speed is not everything without timing.look at miguel cotto.not to much speed, but he has perfect timing when he punches.

Malanaggi is very athletic and flashy but he is a one handed fighter. All he has is a jab at the end of the day. Diaz's style is not flashy at all, in fact it is quite basic but suitable to him. He is usually in great shape and able to throw a high volume of punches through course of a fight. With a combination of vigorous work rate, and pressure on the inside I believe Diaz will eventually overcome Malanaggi by smothering the jab. 12rnd split dec Diaz.
Credit and mad props to Paulie's ppl for getting him these fights even though we know he's gonna get crushed. He's not even in the same same class as Cotto, Hatton, Diaz but somehow his team gets him these fights he doesn't deserve. Diaz KO 7

Malignaggi has an extremely underrated chin. I think Diaz should be able to out-work him to a decision because Paulie just doesn't have the strength nor power to keep Juan away from him.
