  • The judges went harsh on her, there were 4 minor leg bends, amplitude problem on the dismount and form problems on the stride circle, however these add up to .8 at the max (unless the judges took more off for the bends)

  • This routine is so different from the level 4 bar routine in Australia, we start with a fluid Kip, then cast to horizontal backhip circle, cast on catch the high bar , 3 swings pullover, towshoot off.

  • @berithayletwins Even if you can do all of the skills for level 4, you have to do them with good form and lots of power so that you can get decent scores. Maybe the coaches just think you need to refine the skills a little more. Strength and flexibility are other areas that need to be strong to move up. Just evaluate yourself and see if you are always tight, working hard, strong, and flexible! :-)

  • This is USA conpulsurary, not optional or elite. It is so young kids can conpete and enjoy the sport, which I think, is wonderful.

  • I did that routine last year my highest score was a 9.5 doing USAG judging and not AAU and a 9.8 on Beam

  • It was probably a level 4/5 meet- there are 2 levels competing in the same gym.

  • u compete at the same time as the other events someone was probably doing a level 5 routine while that girl was doing her bar routine

  • trust me... she isn't small to be doing this! at my gym we have 6 year olds that are 3 and a half feet tall doing this stuff

  • Then on mill-circle dont bend your arms or legs!When you leg cut keep your left arm really straight.On dismount,try to make your toes touch the high bar.But be careful,i have jammed my toes many times because of dismout cause i am so tall&tell your coach that on that routine the bar was way to high for your height, you could barely do a pullover on it!!!

  • I did that routine last year and never once scored below a 9.3.On glide swing stay straight&reach as far as you can.Keep your arms completely straight on pullover&fronthipcircle.On fronthipcircle, raise your body really high up so the bar should be at mid-thigh.On cast shoot-through try to keep you arms really straight and lock out your knees until they hurt.Then you wont get deducted so many points.

  • Level 4's dont go to the higher bar, when you get to level 5 you do, because when you jump to the high bars, you will have to be able to do a kip, and level fours dont have to know how to do a kip

  • you should be able to reach the higher bar
