Your comment is a self fail, as you fail to understand the meaning of the word "freestyle". It means you are "free" and not choreographed. Which means you can use any move and at any time. It's completely up to you.

To say you cannot use tek moves in a freestyle is to restrict the "free" part.

The purpose of the phrase was to add sidejump to freestyle. This was a misunderstanding of freestyle as i have explained. Why did they misunderstand?

Wikipedia said that "freestyle" was hardjump and oldskool. It was written before sidejump existed.

Sidejump is already part of freestyle, because its "free".

So ownstyle = all styles is the same as freestyle = all styles.

The point was at the time the name "ownstyle" came around, wikipedia said that freestyle was hardjump and basis, which was true because that was the only 2 styles that existed. Then tekstyle and sidejump came around, and they are automatically included as freestyle because its "free" style. but wikipedia wasn't updated to say that, and then the name "ownstyle" started.
